Writing about philosophical practice with children requires a memory of the body, a body that holds on to what is important to itself. My memory begins with my contact with the ideas of Matthew Lipman and the new ideas brought by his words, and continues with the need to change some of them and assign different meanings to others. Since my reading of the thinkers of the so called Frankfurt School, some words have taken new meanings to me, and have informed the way I now understand the practice of philosophy with children and its relationship to issues like educational formation, as well as others. Philosophical practice is unique, and needs to be thought, felt, and experienced; it has its own time and involves the construction and transformation of subjectivity itself. As such, to search for words in philosophy means to chose those words that can help us make sense and give meaning of what we do and think, allowing us to work with our thinking and with its forms of expression, beyond its technical dimension. In this sense, the usual emphasis of philosophy in its more technical dimension leads to an impoverishment of formation as experience, for the latter, which is a fundamental dimension of our lives, is rendered secondary. This has implications for the relationship between adults and children. When they reduce philosophy to a study of the formal capacity of thinking, teachers put students in the condition of a minority, and therefore in some way also put themselves in such a condition. In this paper, the activity of writing - as a way of expressing thought - allows me to conduct a tour my own subjectivity, and to encounter the words that express the meanings that inform what I think and do about my practice with philosophical novels, and about the value of generating texts related to philosophical practice, formation and assessment.

Este trabalho tem como objetivo observar a presena de palavras de origem inglesa em dicionrios do Portugus Brasileiro relacionando este fato com a atual identificao do brasileiro com a cultura norteamericana como consequncia da importncia dos EUA no cenrio mundial nas ltimas dcadas. Neste estudo, notou-se que as palavras estrangeiras passam por um perodo de observao pelos lexicgrafos antes de serem finalmente inseridas em importantes obras de referncia da lngua portuguesa. Observou-se tambm que, quando inseridas nos dicionrios, as palavras inglesas so encontradas em diferentes tipos de verbetes: alguns trazem transcrio fontica, por exemplo, outros no. Alm disso, muitos verbetes no indicam se a palavra ainda pode ser considerada estrangeira lngua portuguesa ou se j se encontra aportuguesada. Dessa forma, podemos concluir que no h um padro de entrada para palavras estrangeiras em dicionrios do Portugus Brasileiro e que vem sendo uma tarefa difcil para os lexicgrafos encontrar um modelo de verbete que melhor atenda as necessidades das pessoas. Por fim, esta pesquisa comprovou que fatores extralingusticos e culturais so importantes para que se decida se uma palavra estrangeira deve ou no estar presente em um dicionrio do Portugus Brasileiro.

Within a broader study of the apparatus governing the establishment of word classes in grammatical tradition, this study is centered on examining the treatment of the (sub)class of pronouns in two grammar guide groups from different periods. The collation was especially oriented by the existing general notion of a very strong link of the first grammarians with logic and, as a counterpart, of an insertion of the most recent works in the universe of a linguistic science and, at the same time, in the universe of a parameterization limiting actions and decisions.

This article aims to reflect on the growth of the practice of plastic surgery for cosmetic purposes and its relationship with the contemporary consumer culture. In other words, we discuss how this practice expresses the values and principles for consumer culture and configures itself differently in different contextsin, as the cities of Sao Paulo and London, where he held field work involving the collection of information in press materials, data files, interviews and observation in clinical aes thetic.

Na presente publicao apresenta-se anlises de um conjunto de manuais escolares que circularam na Escola Normal brasileira e portuguesa entre meados do sculo XIX e meados do sculo XX a partir de diferentes olhares, reeditando em outra chave o processo original de circulao de ideias entre Brasil e Portugal no qual esses materiais se inserem. Orientados por outros estudos que tratam do mesmo tema, os autores realizaram recolha nos dois pases a fim de comprovar a circulao do corpus emprico que, ao final, foi definido como fonte. Assim, chegou-se ao seguinte conjunto de manuais didticos: Elementos de Pedagogia de Affreixo & Freire (1870); Curso Prtico de Pedagogia Destinado aos Alunos-Mestres das Escolas Normaes Primarias e aos Instituidores em Exerccio de Daligault (1874); Lies de Pedagogia Geral e de Histria da Educao de Pimentel Filho (1875); Lies de Pedologia e Pedagogia Experimental de Faria de Vasconcelos (1910); Lies de Metodologia, de Fonseca Lage (1920); A arte da leitura, de Mrio Gonalves Viana (1949) e Lies de Pedagogia, de Aquiles Archro Junior (1955). Os pesquisadores utilizam diferentes lentes para tecer suas anlises e, cada um segundo sua especialidade de pesquisa, aprofunda aspectos que, juntos, compem um painel interpretativo sobre o processo de escolarizao e seus espaos, a normatizao do trabalho docente, os princpios que nortearam a seleo cultural para a escola primria, a constituio de modos e mtodos de ensino para realizar os objetivos educacionais e a especificidade que assumem os materiais e o ensino da leitura e da escrita nessa instituio. Todas as anlises reiteram a importncia dos impressos na consolidao da escola primria portuguesa e brasileira, notadamente no que se refere s prescries feitas nos manuais escolares que, em trnsito, configuram-se como palavras viajeiras.

Our propose in this article is to articulate the ways how women that call themselves lesbians, live and consider the masculinities and the femininities. The discourses were obtained through semi-structured interviews with ten women from different ages, who live in different towns in So Paulo and Paran states. Theoretical references were sought in poststruturalists authors who approach the social construction of gender and sexes as category analysis, necessary for the reflection of the subjectivity processes that are permeated by materiality and transitoriness that are inherent to social, historical, cultural, political and territorial contexts.

The study of the physical man characteristics and their variations have caught the man's interests since the ancient age. In Brazil, there are no studies which define the anthropometric profile of the Brazilian's head, hindering the development of ergonomic designs. One problem that occurs in the Brazilian armed forces is the use of protective helmets made with measurements of other countries, which causes great discomfort. Thus, this study aims to conduct a study to determine the anthropometric measurements of the head of the Brazilian Air Force military, assisting in the production of helmets more suitable. Therefore, it is presented ananthropometric survey in 576 students of the School of Aeronautics Expert, 286 females and 290 males, aged between 17 and 36 years. The study showed that the differences found between genders are less than 5%. In addition to the fact that the helmet Tues adjustments, there is no need for production of different helmets in relation to gender, but some changes are necessary measures in circumference and shape of the helmet.

We present here a qualitative analysis of a sample of papers published in Brazilian science education journals, which expresses researchers discourses related to Astronomy Education. Within this analytical universe, we sought for discursive excerpts about their justifications for the teaching of this subject, which made the basis for the production of a collective discourse, which identity is socially represented by the researchers authors set. Setting up articulations with discourse analysis, the procedures of the collective subject discourse show to be an important methodological tool to answer to the central question of this study: what do the Brazilian researchers assert as justifications for teaching Astronomy? In other words: why teach Astronomy? Outcomes point to the retaking of reflections about the importance of matters like as Astronomy in formal education, catalyzing teachers work innovative articulations.

A construo de sentenas envolve a produo de estruturas sintaticamente corretas e pode envolver produtividade de novas sentenas,a partir de recombinaes de palavras diretamente ensinadas. O objetivo do estudo foi verificar o efeito do ensino de sequncias de duas palavras com sobreposio sobre a emergncia de sentenas afirmativas e negativas; posteriormente verificou o efeito do estabelecimento do controle condicional por cores sobre a leitura recombinativa generalizada de sentenas nas formas afirmativa e negativa. Participaram seis crianas com histrico de fracasso escolar, de ambos os sexos. Como estmulos foram adotadas seis sentenas de ensino (trs afirmativas e trs negativas) e quatro de generalizao recombinativa (duas afirmativas e duas negativas), e respectivas sentenas ditadas e figuras. O procedimento consistiu nas fases de ensino de sentenas com sobreposio e testes de construo; fases de ensino de discriminaes condicionais com a construo de sentenas afirmativas na presena da cor verde e negativas na presena da cor vermelha; testes de leitura recombinativa com oito novas sentenas; e testes de compreenso de leitura pela relao entre figura e sentena impressa. Nos testes de leitura recombinativa, quatro participantes construram corretamente sete das oito novas sentenas e os demais, seis. Nos testes de compreenso I, quatro participantes obtiveram 100% e dois 80% de acerto. Nos testes de compreenso II, trs crianas obtiveram desempenho de 100%, duas acima de 60% e uma 40%. Os resultados sugerem que o procedimento de ensino de sentenas por sobreposio de palavras foi eficiente no auxlio da aquisio de repertrio verbal, relativo construo de frases e leitura com compreenso de sentena nessa populao.
