A transformação e revalorização do espaço do centro histórico de Santos/SP

The city of Santos always had its importance recognised by the respectful role of flowing off the coffee production between the end of 19th and beginning of 20th centuries. All effervescence of this period brought changes to the central area of the city, located near the port. Beginning in the 1970s, some changes in the politics and in the city's urban space made its cafes, theaters, stores and traditional residencies find itselves in decadence imposed by the negligence of the public power. The Historic Downtown of Santos changed to a forgotten and depreciated space and remained that way for many years, reflecting negatively in the preservation of the arquitetonic heritage of the city. The present project aims to analyse the transformation of the current space of the Hitoric Downtown of Santos from the beginning of the 20th century and its recent revaluation through the public politics of the city

Espaço geográfico e educação: um estudo sobre o lugar do Conselho de Escola

In this text, the results of our research on the geographic location and establishing relationships with the School Council. We consider some legal aspects added to the evidence gathered in our experience to check how much the School Council is constituted as a non-state public place. The possibility of setting up this feature to see a meaning whose strength lies precisely in a healthy tension between the state and established community. Here is the legislation of the School Council of Suzano (SP) and some aspects of our experience from the practice of teaching at a school in Rio das Pedras (SP). We see the nature of the legal meaning assigned to this place from the study of law, considering the municipal, regional and federal levels. In the sphere of Geography use the concepts of Space, Place and City, as issues that are dear to that science. We used the concept of Topofilia to see if this particular place is the development of an individual's sense of belonging, and how it unfolds in the dynamic implications of the operation of this instrument of popular participation in the formulation of public policy education. We discussed the elements observed in these experiments to think about the composition of living environments in urban daily life

Espaço fábrica: intervenção em conjunto de antiga indústria de óleos em Bariri - SP

Discussões a respeito de propostas de intervenção em espaços ur-banos que possuem valores culturais para a comunidade têm sido um tema bastante explorado por arquitetos e urbanistas contemporâneos. Muitos são os teóricos que se ocuparam do assunto – as primeiras teorias de restaura-ção do patrimônio arquitetônico construído datam do século 18 – mas, até hoje, não se pôde estabelecer um consenso sobre como se deve ou não proceder na concepção de projetos dessa natureza. Este trabalho trata de um espaço ocioso na área central do municí-pio de Bariri, interior do estado de São Paulo, onde se deram as atividades de uma indústria de óleos vegetais de grande expressão na cidade, entre as décadas de 1960 a 1980. Mesmo depois de a fábrica ter entrado em proces-so de falência, seus equipamentos e edificações permaneceram no terreno, e, até hoje, parte considerável de seu patrimônio construído ainda continua lá. Porém, nunca se deu outro uso para o espaço, sendo que, atualmente, as instalações se encontram em processo de ruína. Sabe-se que áreas desocu-padas inseridas na malha urbana podem levar a uma degradação do espaço, devido à falta do cuidado mantido pela presença humana, causando, diversas vezes, a perda do controle pelo poder público, e incidentes provocados pela falta de segurança. A Indústria Resegue de Óleos Vegetais (IROV) teve considerável importância histórica para o município, sendo um dos maiores símbolos da atividade econômica dos imigrantes sírios na cidade. Foi responsável pelo emprego de muitos trabalhadores e por grande movimentação financeira na época em que esteve em funcionamento. Além disso, seu espaço físico im-ponente está presente no cognitivo da maioria dos habitantes baririenses, compondo, de maneira significativa, a identidade visual de Bariri. O transporte coletivo urbano em São José do Rio Preto - SP e sua relação com as transformações do espaço urbano

The process of urbanization that happened in Brazil during the twentieth century led to processes of structuring and re-organization of space, besides the emergence of many urban problems. Industrialization and urbanization are some of the main causes that could be cited as consequences of this process. As a result of the steep rise of cities, the transport systems became fundamental in boosting flows (immaterial) and the mobility of people and stuff (materials) in the territory. The urban model created for the city of São Paulo in the 1930s was repeated over the years in the medium-sized cities, being repeated the same problems that occurred in the metropolis. In this context our work fits in analyzing the changes occurring in the urban area of São José do Rio Preto - SP, from his relationship with the public transportation system in the face of intra-urban spatial configuration of the city. Transport, while it is recognized by authors as being really important for the analysis and intra-urban spatial configuration, has been little analyzed as the object of study by a geographer, and so, our work has more value

Análise da qualidade do transporte público por ônibus no município de Jundiaí-SP

This work shows the importance of taking a good organization of space for the improvement of urban public transport. The model of urban transport is used improperly aggravating factor that generates diseconomies to society. The reduction of the use of public transport, degradation of environmental conditions, chronic congestion, poor accessibility and high rates of traffic accidents are common in many cities. The case study will be done in Jundiaí - SP, where actions were taken to try to reverse this situation of crisis in urban transport, as the change in transport network system. Will analyze the proposals adopted for the implementation of the new network model, steps taken, questionnaires and results from these studies. The framework of this study was to comprehend the specific conditions surrounding the incorporation and political-economical consolidation of the state of Mato Grosso Sul to the national scenario, during the cyclic evolution of the capitalistic system as well as the role of Campo Grande in this process. The origin and evolution of Campo Grande were analyzed in the context of possible relations between urbanization, regional development and the integration of the state in the national scope. In this approach, several theoretical compatible formulations were considered as to systemic view of reality, from the complex and dynamic point of view. This implies a multi scale reasoning, associating spatial dimension to the historical one, in a theoretical- methodological effort of comprehend the logic between the general and the specific. It was possible to verity peculiarities attributed to Mato Grosso do Sul in the general laws of the capitalistic system, and instances capable of explaning the local effects of the intervention of industrial economy in the dynamic of the process analysed since colonial times, as well as the role of Campo Grande in this process, especially in relation to the economical integration of the state territory to the rest of the nation.

Social Watch: espaço alternativo para a comunicação da sociedade civil global

The text aims to show how Social Watch alternative site contributes to the construction of world citizenship to publish proposals for non-governmental organizations (NGOs), identified with groups excluded from traditional means of mass communication. The structure of the site is analyzed and studied in depth one of its publications, the Bulletin of August 2014, using some resources from the methodology of the framing and content analysis. The analysis shows that, in fact, the site is presented as place where civil society can express themselves and collect public power projects and proposals to increase the global citizenship.

Análise do processo de formação como mediadora entre o público e a arte

The proposed work is located in education field in exhibition spaces of art and seeks to analyze a process of formation as a mediator focusing on the public's relationship with art, taking into account the fact that often the general public does not dominate the codes of this area, being incumbent upon mediator introduce them. One of the main points to be analyzed is the impact that can be generated by the contact of the visitor with the mediator in the exhibition space, considering a spectrum of possibilities, where at one end focuses the belonging and in the other the symbolic violence. In this direction this research aims to build a relationship of emancipation and autonomy of both, the educator and the visitor. It is known that the concept of public is a generalization, therefore, the analysis of the mediation process, are having as support the experiences lived by the mediator, especially, in the relationship with the lay public. The locations of the experiences lived, were the SESC Pompéia and the Pavilion of the Bienal of São Paulo, different places, but both with the potential to generate reception and / or distances, shot through space (architecture), bodies, codes, accesses, works of art, repertoires, expographic and especially through the mobilization of educator front of all these issues. The cutting of the research covers the experience of the educator (as an intern and professional) in six exhibitions, in these two spaces, between the years 2010 to 2015.
