Assessment of the VoIP Transmission Quality over Digital Power Line Carrier Channels

This article is devoted to the research of VoIP transmission quality over Digital Power Line Carrier channels. Assessment of quality transmission is performed using E-model. Paper considers the possibility of joint using of Digital Power Line carrier equipment with different architecture in one network. As a result of the research, the rule for constructing of multi-segment Digital Power Line Carrier channels was formulated. This rule allows minimizing the transmission delay and saving frequency resources of high voltage Power Line Carrier range.

The Research of Increase of Channel Efficiency for IP Traffic Transmission over Digital Power Line Carrier Channels

This article is devoted to the research of channel efficiency for IP-traffic transmission over Digital Power Line Carrier channels. The application of serial WAN connections and header compression as methods to increase channel efficiency is considered. According to the results of the research an effective solution for network traffic transmission in DPLC networks was proposed.

Tanztherapie in der Psychoonkologie : Auswirkungen der Intervention auf die gesundheitsbezogene Lebensqualität

Das Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit ist es zu prüfen, ob Tanztherapie einen Effekt auf dieLebensqualität bei Brustkrebspatientinnen hat. Brustkrebs ist die häufigste Krebserkrankungbei Frauen in Deutschland. Verbesserte Behandlungsformen und Früherkennungsmaßnahmenführen zu einem Anstieg der Überlebensrate. Dennoch bedingen ein langerBehandlungsweg und Unsicherheit über den Verlauf der Krankheit hohe Belastungen undUnsicherheiten. Nebenwirkungen und Langzeitfolgen der Interventionen beeinflussen zudemdie gesundheitsbezogene Lebensqualität. Körper und Psyche werden stark beansprucht undleiden. Die Psychoonkologie stellt dabei einen Teil des Behandlungsweges dar. Sie bildetesich aus der Erkenntnis heraus, dass die Krebserkrankung nicht nur den Körper beeinflusst,sondern den gesamten Menschen mit seiner seelischen und geistigen Verfassung. DieTanztherapie ist eine Maßnahme im Kanon der psychoonkologischen Betreuung. Sie vereintkörperliche Betätigung und kreative Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten. Psyche und Körper werden beidieser Therapieform angesprochen. Im Gruppensetting fließt zudem die soziale Komponentemit ein. Die These lautet demnach, dass Tanztherapie positive Auswirkungen auf diegesundheitsbezogenen Lebensqualität hat. Denn Körper, Psyche und soziales Umfeld sindTeile der Lebensqualität. Das methodische Vorgehen dieser Arbeit setzte sich aus demRecherchieren von relevanten Studien, Reviews und Metaanalysen zusammen. Es wurdendie Datenbanken Google Scholar, PubMed, PsyCONTENT und Springer Link bis zum Jahre2014 durchsucht. Schlüsselworte waren dabei Tanztherapie, Psychoonkologie, Krebspatient,Lebensqualität, gesundheitsbezogene Lebensqualität, künstlerische Therapie,dance/movement therapy, cancer patient, quality of life, health related quality of life.

1st National Accessiblity Plan 2004-2012: achieving equal opportunities and full participation through design for all

According to official statistics, disabled people in Spain number 3.5 million and make up 8.8% of the Spanish population. This group of people are increasingly being recognised as members of society with equal rights, and many of their demands are gradually being transformed into solutions that benefit society as a whole. One example is improved accessibility. Accessible built environments are more human and inclusive places, as well as being easier to get around. Improved accessibility is now recognised as a requirement shared by all members of society, although it is achieved thanks to the demands of disabled people and their representatives. The 1st National Accessibility Plan is a strategic framework for action aimed at ensuring that new products, services and built environments are designed to be accessible for as many people as possible (Design for All) and that existing ones are gradually duly adapted.

Intervention précoce dans la phase initiale des troubles psychotiques à Lausanne: quels problèmes et quelles solutions [Early intervention for the initial phase of psychotic disorders in Lausanne: what problems and what solutions?]

Schizophrenia has long been considered with pessimism, but the recent interest in the early phase of psychotic disorders has modified this often unjustified perception. Literature has demonstrated the benefit of the development of programs specialised in the treatment of early psychosis, which tend to be developed in many countries. It is however important to match them to local needs as well as to the structure of local health services. This paper reviews elements that justify such a development in Lausanne, Switzerland, and describe its various elements.

Promoting hospital-based smoking cessation services at major Swiss hospitals: a before and after study.

Whether a 1-year nationwide, government supported programme is effective in significantly increasing the number of smoking cessation clinics at major Swiss hospitals as well as providing basic training for the staff running them. We conducted a baseline evaluation of hospital services for smoking cessation, hypertension, and obesity by web search and telephone contact followed by personal visits between October 2005 and January 2006 of 44 major public hospitals in the 26 cantons of Switzerland; we compared the number of active smoking cessation services and trained personnel between baseline to 1 year after starting the programme including a training workshop for doctors and nurses from all hospitals as well as two further follow-up visits. At base line 9 (21%) hospitals had active smoking cessation services, whereas 43 (98%) and 42 (96%) offered medical services for hypertension and obesity respectively. Hospital directors and heads of Internal Medicine of 43 hospitals were interested in offering some form of help to smokers provided they received outside support, primarily funding to get started or to continue. At two identical workshops, 100 health professionals (27 in Lausanne, 73 in Zurich) were trained for one day. After the programme, 22 (50%) hospitals had an active smoking cessation service staffed with at least 1 trained doctor and 1 nurse. A one-year, government-supported national intervention resulted in a substantial increase in the number of hospitals allocating trained staff and offering smoking cessation services to smokers. Compared to the offer for hypertension and obesity this offer is still insufficient.

En plena “Era de la comunicació”, és imprescindible analitzar l’esmentada relació, tenint en compte el paper que juguen els nous mitjans emergents en el desenvolupament de les relacions públiques. Ens trobem en un nou entorn on desenvolupar aquesta professió únicament a través dels mitjans tradicionals poc té a veure amb la realitat del present. Avui les noves tecnologies i mitjans emergents ens porten a una “nova generació de la comunicació” on els professionals s’enfronten a nous conceptes que qüestionen l’antiga classificació de mitjans i disciplines above i below the line.

For this case examples have been chosen ranging from administrative or minor (criminal) offences to increasingly serious offences and offenders. In this way it can be comparatively demonstrated how the criminal justice systems studied handle specific cases and whether they do so in a similar or different way.
