O fator de crescimento do nervo inibe o edema citotóxico de células de Müller e células bipolares da retina de rato por meio da liberação de citocinas gliais: participação do sistema glutamatérgico e purinérgico

O fator de crescimento do nervo (NGF) pode retardar a degeneração celular na retina de ratos em diferentes injúrias retinianas. O acúmulo de água em células da retina contribui para o desenvolvimento de edema retiniano e degeneração neuronal. Em atribuição ao seu efeito protetor, este trabalho teve por objetivo avaliar se o NGF influencia o edema celular osmótico em células de Müller e células bipolares. Assim, montagens planas, fatias de retina e células isoladas da retina de ratos foram superfundidas com solução hipo-osmótica na presença de BaCl₂. Secções retinianas foram utilizadas para imunomarcações, e a liberação de adenosina foi medida por cromatografia líquida de alta eficácia, em montagens planas. A área de secção transversal celular foi medida antes e após a superfusão em meio hipo-osmótico, em fatias de retina e suspensões celulares. Tanto células de Müller quanto células bipolares foram imunopositivas para TrkA, mas somente células de Müller foram marcadas contra p75^NTR e NGF. A hipo-osmolaridade induziu um rápido e significativo aumento da liberação de adenosina endógena em retinas controle, mas não em retinas perfundidas com BaCl₂. O NGF inibiu o edema citotóxico em células de Müller e em células bipolares em fatias de retina controle e retinas pós-isquêmicas submetidas a condições hipo-osmóticas. Por outro lado, NGF impediu o edema citotóxico da célula de Müller isolada, mas não da célula bipolar isolada (em meio hipo-osmótico contendo íons Ba²⁺). Isto sugere que NGF induz a liberação de fatores por células de Müller, os quais inibem o edema citotóxico de células bipolares em fatias de retina. O efeito inibitório do NGF sobre o edema citotóxico de células de Müller foi mediado pela ativação do receptor TrkA, mas não de p75^NTR, e foi anulado por bloqueadores de receptores metabotrópicos de glutamato, receptores de adenosina A₁, e receptores do fator de crescimento de fibroblasto (FGF). O bFGF evitou o edema citotóxico de células de Müller isoladas, mas inibiu somente em parte o edema citotóxico de células bipolares isoladas. O bloqueio de FGFR impediu o efeito inibidor de edema celular da adenosina, sugerindo que a liberação de bFGF ocorre após à ativação autócrina/parácrina de receptores A_l. Além de bFGF, GDNF e TGF431 reduziram em parte o edema citotóxico da célula bipolar. Estes dados sugerem que o efeito neuroprotetor do NGF é em parte mediado pela prevenção de edema citotóxico de células gliais e bipolares da retina.

Criação e implantação de procedimentos logísticos em uma indústria de móveis: estudo de caso

The Brazilian construction is with high production which resulted in many service industries and also for businesses that work in conjunction with it. For the furniture industries would not be different, since they are intimately involved with the construction. To meet the demand for furnishings in Brazil, some clusters of industries have developed in recent years, as in the case of Uba (MG), Arapongas (PR) and Bento Gonçalves (RS). For industries sector can always increase its production combining quality and customer satisfaction, is necessary for their production procedures are studied and improved every day. The aim of this research is to propose a solution for simple information system involving the issue of tracking parts of the furniture produced in an industry custom furniture that depend on outsourced services. The research occurred during four months of the year 2013 for the observation of the production of the industry, where possible observing interference could be carried out with the aim of obtaining improvements in the production line. It is concluded that control of the finished product in a custom furniture industry is a very complex work, because the information system must transmit information faithful, which has not happened formerly, but after the implementation of the identification system was significant improvement the transfer of information between sectors mounts internal and external furniture

Paralelização de algoritmos de trimap utilizando a arquitetura Cuda

Techniques of image combination, with extraction of objects to set a final scene, are very used in applications from photos montages to cinematographic productions. These techniques are called digital matting. With them is possible to decrease the cost of productions, because it is not necessary for the actor to be filmed in the location where the final scene occurs. This feature also favors its use in programs made to digital television, which demands a high quality image. Many digital matting algorithms use markings done on the images, to demarcate what is the foreground, the background and the uncertainty areas. This marking is called trimap, which is a triple map containing these three informations. The trimap is done, typically, from manual markings. In this project, methods were created that can be used in digital matting algorithms, with restriction of time and without human interaction, that is, the creation of an algorithm that generates the trimap automatically. This last one can be generated from the difference between a color of an arbitrary background and the foreground, or by using a depth map. It was also created a matting method, based on the Geodesic Matting (BAI; SAPIRO, 2009), which has an inferior processing time then the original one. Aiming to improve the performance of the applications that generates the trimap and of the algorithms that generates the alphamap (map that associates a value to the transparency of each pixel of the image), allowing its use in applications with time restrictions, it was used the CUDA architecture. Cri-an-ça: a criatividade, a infância e a imaginação expressadas no desenho (porque os adultos têm sempre necessidade de explicações detalhadas)

O interesse por esta temática de trabalho surgiu a partir de um estudo realizado em minha iniciação científica, que tem por título “Ação, Câmera, Luz: Entre imagens e olhares – experiência de infâncias e montagens” desenvolvido no Departamento de Educação do Instituto de Biociências, localizado na Universidade Estadual Paulista – UNESP/Rio Claro. Como o próprio título sugere, ela tem por principal objetivo inverter a lógica da conhecida frase: “Luz, Câmera, Ação”. Este trabalho, ao inverter a ordem dos fatores, busca ver se ao deixarmos a ação das crianças livre, o que se produziria seria algo mais verdadeiro, mais significativo, de fato. O que a ausência de intencionalidade geraria aos produtores de imagens. A partir de então, comecei a imaginar outro tipo de produção de imagens, não mais com câmeras fotográficas e filmadoras, mas de próprio punho. Portanto, este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar as crianças, e suas realidades através do que elas mesmas nos dizem e nos mostram em seu dia a dia por meio de seus desenhos. Os desenhos utilizados foram retirados de uma instituição de ensino não formal da cidade de Rio Claro, e entendidos como documentos. A pesquisa traz também um aporte teórico com as concepções sobre desenho infantil de alguns teóricos, como Lowenfel, Greig, La Pastina, Vigotski entre outros

The increasing demand for productivity and quality in companies has converged to a common point: reducing costs. In this context the present work aims at the development of a mechanical press which is designed for pressing polar hydrogenerators coils with salient pole in field facilitating the assembly of the poles in the plant, as well as reforms especially in hydrogenerators, reducing significantly the transport costs. With security in mind as well as reduced costs, a study was made of the materials to be used as it was applied a methodology for calculating the correct choice of safety factor to be used in the device. Through mechanical calculations were dimensioned critical items of the device as the diameter of the rods as well as the minimum thickness of the base of the device must have so that it does not break threaded shear in the region by applying the total load of traction on the risers implementation of the pressing. All compression loading device will be through the application of torque on the nuts of bolts in this way was defined by calculations the required torque for each nut so that you can reach the pressure specified in the design specifies. The modeling of the device was made using the INVENTOR™ program in conjunction with the program ANSYS ™. These programs have created designs in three dimensions, assembly and simulation of stress analysis in components of the device

Since photographic document always bears the marks of a given universe imagined, subject to fi ctionality inherent in all assemblies plot as an act, the purpose of this article is to analyze the photographs archival materials disclosed in remembrance of the Brazilian military dictatorship in the magazine Veja, published in the decennial anniversaries of the 1964 coup, from the methodological assumptions of the rhetoric of image. If, in some cases, archival photographs reinforced the argument of the report, in others, they created a parallel narrative, framing the present through an interpreted past.
