Objective: Presenting a Virtual Environment (VE) based on the Protocol of Treatment of Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus type 2, used in Primary Care for evaluation of dietary habits in nursing consultations. Method: An experimental study applied by two nurses and a nurse manager, in a sample of 30 deaf patients aged between 30 and 60 years. The environment was built in Visual Basic NET and offered eight screens about feeding containing food pictures, videos in Libras (Brazilian sign language) and audio. The analysis of the VE was done through questionnaires applied to patients and professionals by the Poisson statistical test. Results: The VE shows the possible diagnostics in red, yellow, green and blue colors, depending on the degree of patients’ need. Conclusion: The environment obtained excellent acceptance by patients and nurses, allowing great interaction between them, even without an interpreter. The time in consultation was reduced to 15 minutes, with the preservation of patient privacy.

L'objectiu s establir la pressi sonora equivalent per cada punt d'una rea determinada donades unes fonts sonores que sn definides com a entitats que poden ser puntuals o lineals. El procediment calcula una malla de cobertura i l'afectaci per cada cella de totes les fonts en cada un dels tres perodes i la pressi sonora equivalent final.

Sanomapalvelinsovelusten kunnollinen toimivuus on trke koko jrjestelmn toimivuuden kannalta, koska nm palvelimet ksittelevt pivittin tuhansia sanomia, jotka sisltvt merkityksellist jrjestelmtietoa. Tss tyss on tutkittu mahdollisia toteutustekniikoita ja nihin tutkimuksiin pohjautuen toteutettu tykalut sanomapalvelinsovellusten testaukseen ja valvontaan. Sovellus-arkkituuritekniikoita tutkittaessa tutkimus rajattiin 3-tasoarkkitehtuuritekniikkaan, erityisesti TUXEDOTM -jrjestelmtekniikkaan, koska toteutettavaa sovellusta kytetn hajautetussa sovellusympristss. Sovellusasiakkaan (client) toteutusta varten tutkittiin ja vertailtiin XML-tekniikkaa ja Microsoft Visual C++ -tekniikkaa kytettyn Tieto-Enatorin Phobos Interaktiivisen C++ -luokkakirjaston kanssa. XML-tekniikoita sek Visual C++ ja Phobos-luokkakirjasto tekniikkaa tutkittiin niilt osin, mit tarvittiin sanomamerkkijonojen katseluun. XML-tietokantatekniikoita tutkittiin mahdollisena vaihtoehtona tietokanta ja sovelluspalvelintekniikalle. Tyn ensimmisen tavoitteena oli toteuttaa tykalu sanomapalvelinsovellusten testaamiseen. Toisena tavoitteena oli toteuttaa tykalu sanomien sislln oikeellisuuden valvontaan. Kolmantena tavoitteena oli analysoida olemassaolevaa sanomavirheiden valvontasovellusta ja kehitt sit eteenpin. Diplomityn tuloksena toteutettiin sovellus sanomapalvelinsovellusten testaamiseen ja valvontaan. Tutkituista asiakassovelustekniikoista valittiin toteutus-tekniikaksi MS Visual C++ kytettyn Phobos Interaktiivisen C++ luokkakirjaston kanssa tekniikan tunnettavuuden vuoksi. 3-taso TUXEDOTM-tekniikka valittiin sovelluksen arkkitehtuuriksi. Lisksi lydettiin parannuksia olemassa oleviin sanoma-virheiden valvontatoimintoihin. Tutkitut toteutustekniikat ovat yleisi ja niit voidaan kytt, kun toteutetaan samanlaisia sovelluksia samanlaisiin sovellusympristihin.

This report discusses developing a software log tool for analysis of industrial processes. The target was to develop software that can help electro Engineers for monitor and fault finding in industrial processes. The tool is called PLS (Process log server), and is developed in Visual Studio.NET Framework 2005. PLS works as a client with Beijer Electronics OPC Server. The program is able to read data from PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), trough the OPC Server. PLS connects to all kind of controllers that is supported by the Beijer Electronics OPC Server. Signal data is stored in a database for later analysis. Chosen signals data can easily be exported into a text file. The text file is adopted for import to MS Office Excel. User manual [UM-07] is written as a separate document. The software acted stable through the function test. The final product becomes a first-rate tool that is simple to use. As an advantage, the software can be developed with more functions in the future.

IPTV is now offered by several operators in Europe, US and Asia using broadcast video over private IP networks that are isolated from Internet. IPTV services rely ontransmission of live (real-time) video and/or stored video. Video on Demand (VoD)and Time-shifted TV are implemented by IP unicast and Broadcast TV (BTV) and Near video on demand are implemented by IP multicast. IPTV services require QoS guarantees and can tolerate no more than 10-6 packet loss probability, 200 ms delay, and 50 ms jitter. Low delay is essential for satisfactory trick mode performance(pause, resume,fast forward) for VoD, and fast channel change time for BTV. Internet Traffic Engineering (TE) is defined in RFC 3272 and involves both capacity management and traffic management. Capacity management includes capacityplanning, routing control, and resource management. Traffic management includes (1)nodal traffic control functions such as traffic conditioning, queue management, scheduling, and (2) other functions that regulate traffic flow through the network orthat arbitrate access to network resources. An IPTV network architecture includes multiple networks (core network, metronetwork, access network and home network) that connects devices (super head-end, video hub office, video serving office, home gateway, set-top box). Each IP router in the core and metro networks implements some queueing and packet scheduling mechanism at the output link controller. Popular schedulers in IP networks include Priority Queueing (PQ), Class-Based Weighted Fair Queueing (CBWFQ), and Low Latency Queueing (LLQ) which combines PQ and CBWFQ.The thesis analyzes several Packet Scheduling algorithms that can optimize the tradeoff between system capacity and end user performance for the traffic classes. Before in the simulator FIFO,PQ,GPS queueing methods were implemented inside. This thesis aims to implement the LLQ scheduler inside the simulator and to evaluate the performance of these packet schedulers. The simulator is provided by ErnstNordstrm and Simulator was built in Visual C++ 2008 environmentand tested and analyzed in MatLab 7.0 under windows VISTA.

The collection of prices for basic goods supply is very important for the population, based on the collection and processing of these data the CLI (Cost Living Index) is calculated among others, helping consumers to shop more rationally and with a clearer view of each product impact of each product on their household budget, not only food, but also cleaning products and personal hygiene ones. Nowadays, the project of collection of prices for basic goods supply is conducted weekly in Botucatu - SP through a spreadsheet. The aim of this work was to develop a software which utilized mobile devices in the data collection and storage phase, concerning the basic goods supply in Botucatu -SP. This was created in order to eliminate the need of taking notes in paper spreadsheets, increasing efficiency and accelerating the data processing. This work utilized the world of mobile technology and development tools, through the platform".NET" - Compact Framework and programming language Visual Basic".NET" was used in the handheld phase, enabling to develop a system using techniques of object oriented programming, with higher speed and reliability in the codes writing. A HP Pavilion dv3 personal computer and an Eten glofish x500+ handheld computer were used. At the end of the software development, collection, data storing and processing in a report, the phase of in loco paper spreadsheets were eliminated and it was possible to verify that the whole process was faster, more consistent, safer, more efficient and the data were more available.

New fluorinated hybrid solids [Mo2F2O5(tr2pr)] (1), [Co3(tr2pr)2(MoO4)2F2]7H2O (2), and [Co3(H2O)2(tr2pr)3(Mo8O26F2)]3H2O (3) (tr2pr = 1,3-bis(1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)propane) were prepared from the reaction systems consisting of Co(OAc)2/CoF2 and MoO3/(NH4)6Mo7O24, as CoII and MoVI sources, in water (2) or in aqueous HF (1, 3) employing mild hydrothermal conditions. The tr2pr ligand serves as a conformationally flexible tetradentate donor. In complex 1, the octahedrally coordinated Mo atoms are linked in the discrete corner-sharing {Mo2(2-O)F2O4N4} unit in which a pair of tr-heterocycles (tr = 1,2,4-triazole) is arranged in cis-positions opposite to molybdenyl oxygen atoms. The antianti conformation type of tr2pr facilitates the tight zigzag chain packing motif. The crystal structure of the mixed-anion complex salt 2 consists of trinuclear [Co3(3-MoO4)2(2-F)2] units self-assembling in CoII-undulating chains (CoCo 3.0709(15) and 3.3596(7) ), which are cross-linked by tr2pr in layers. In 3, containing condensed oxyfluoromolybdate species, linear centrosymmetric [Co3(2-tr)6]6+ SBUs are organized at distances of 10.7212.45 in an -Po-like network using bitopic tr-linkers. The octahedral {N6} and {N3O3} environments of the central and peripheral cobalt atoms, respectively, are filled by triazole N atoms, water molecules, and coordinating [Mo8O26F2]6 anions. Acting as a tetradentate O-donor, each difluorooctamolybdate anion anchors four [Co3(2-tr)6]6+ units through their peripheral Co-sites, which consequently leads to a novel type of a two-nodal 4,10-c net with the Schlafli symbol {32.43.5}{34.420.516.65}. The 2D and 3D coordination networks of 2 and 3, respectively, are characterized by significant overall antiferromagnetic exchange interactions (J/k) between the CoII spin centers on the order of 8 and 4 K. The [Mo8O26F2]6 anion is investigated in detail by quantum chemical calculations.

En este proyecto se trata la simulacin numrica de un fenmeno dinmico, basado en el comportamiento de una onda transmitida a lo largo de una cuerda elstica de un instrumento musical, cuyos extremos se encuentran anclados. El fenmeno fsico, se desarrolla utilizando una ecuacin en derivadas parciales hiperblicas con variables espacial y temporal, acompaada por unas condiciones de contorno tipo Dirichlet en los extremos y por ms condiciones iniciales que dan comienzo al proceso. Posteriormente se han generado algoritmos para el mtodo numrico empleado (Diferencias finitas centrales y progresivas) y la programacin del problema aproximado con su consistencia, estabilidad y convergencia, obtenindose unos resultados acordes con la solucin analtica del problema matemtico. La programacin y salida de resultados se ha realizado con Visual Studio 8.0. y la programacin de objetos con Visual Basic .Net In this project the topic is the numerical simulation of a dynamic phenomenon, based on the behavior of a transmitted wave along an elastic string of a musical instrument, whose ends are anchored. The physical phenomenon is developed using a hyperbolic partial differential equation with spatial and temporal variables, accompanied by a Dirichlet boundary conditions at the ends and more initial conditions that start the process. Subsequently generated algorithms for the numerical method used (central and forward finite differences) and the programming of the approximate problem with consistency, stability and convergence, yielding results in line with the analytical solution of the mathematical problem. Programming and output results has been made with Visual Studio 8.0. and object programming with Visual Basic. Net

El objetivo de este proyecto es evaluar la mejora de rendimiento que aporta la paralelizacin de algoritmos de procesamiento de imgenes, para su ejecucin en una tarjeta grfica. Para ello, una vez seleccionados los algoritmos a estudio, fueron desarrollados en lenguaje C++ bajo el paradigma secuencial. A continuacin, tomando como base estas implementaciones, se paralelizaron siguiendo las directivas de la tecnologa CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture) desarrollada por NVIDIA. Posteriormente, se desarroll un interfaz grfico de usuario en Visual C#, para una utilizacin ms sencilla de la herramienta. Por ltimo, se midi el rendimiento de cada uno de los algoritmos, en trminos de tiempo de ejecucin paralela y speedup, mediante el procesamiento de una serie de imgenes de distintos tamaos.---ABSTRACT---The aim of this Project is to evaluate the performance improvement provided by the parallelization of image processing algorithms, which will be executed on a graphics processing unit. In order to do this, once the algorithms to study were selected, each of them was developed in C++ under sequential paradigm. Then, based on these implementations, these algorithms were implemented using the compute unified device architecture (CUDA) programming model provided by NVIDIA. After that, a graphical user interface (GUI) was developed to increase applications usability. Finally, performance of each algorithm was measured in terms of parallel execution time and speedup by processing a set of images of different sizes.

Model-driven Engineering (MDE) approaches are often acknowledged to improve the maintainability of the resulting applications. However, there is a scarcity of empirical evidence that backs their claimed benefits and limitations with respect to code-centric approaches. The purpose of this paper is to compare the performance and satisfaction of junior software maintainers while executing maintainability tasks on Web applications with two different development approaches, one being OOH4RIA, a model-driven approach, and the other being a code-centric approach based on Visual Studio .NET and the Agile Unified Process. We have conducted a quasi-experiment with 27 graduated students from the University of Alicante. They were randomly divided into two groups, and each group was assigned to a different Web application on which they performed a set of maintainability tasks. The results show that maintaining Web applications with OOH4RIA clearly improves the performance of subjects. It also tips the satisfaction balance in favor of OOH4RIA, although not significantly. Model-driven development methods seem to improve both the developers objective performance and subjective opinions on ease of use of the method. This notwithstanding, further experimentation is needed to be able to generalize the results to different populations, methods, languages and tools, different domains and different application sizes.
