A review and analysis of the literature on educative interventions (EI) for medicine users was carried out. For this purpose, databases were searched by employing descriptors related to pharmaceutical care, education and health, covering the period from 1997 to early 2011. A set of 21 articles related to EI with medicine users were selected, 18 (85.7%) of which referred to studies on basic health care. The EI most commonly reported in the articles were: talks, group discussions and educative material. The positive outcomes reported were: improvement in quality of life (better acceptance of the disease), economic advantages (reduction in number of medical consultations) and clinical improvement (risk reduction, prevention of complications).

The ozone therapy is the therapeutic administration of ozone, which can be: subcutaneous (SC), intramuscular (IM) Intradiscal; intracavitary (pleural and peritoneal spaces); intravaginal, intrauretral, in the bladder; ozonated autohemotherapy. This therapy is being increasingly studied in order to help in some treatments and is being proven to be very effective in most cases, especially in acting on disinfection and healing of extensive wounds. There are over 6000 articles on the medical use of ozone in the literature, but the concentration used varies with each author. Most diseases have a positive response because ozone increases tissue oxygenation and metabolism. Discovered in Germany in the nineteenth century, ozone therapy still needs further study to clarify its mode of action and demonstrate its benefits. The objective of this review is to discuss some of the studies in the literature and try to clarify the main directions and forms of action of ozone therapy in medicine, showing the possibilities of getting good results including in veterinary medicine

Normally, the last teeth to erupt are the ones which remain impacted or semi-impacted, and that is the case of the canines. This study aimed to report a few options of treatment, aiming at esthetic and functional maintenance of the affected area before a impacted canine, discussing its indications, contraindications, advantages and disadvantages. This study also aims to emphasize the accessibility the patient would have in case his/her option were one of the approached ways of treatment. In order to identify the studies included or analyzed in this review, a detailed search strategy was performed for the database used: Pubmed, Bireme, Scielo, Cochrane, and Dentistry Oral Science up to 2011. We used non-erupted teeth, canine, and therapeutics as descriptors. The criteria of inclusion were clinical and review articles that approached the theme. Through this review, it was found that the surgeon dentist’s lack of technical and scientific knowledge and the financial impossibility of most population are some hindrances for the establishment of the right planning for the impacted canine.
