T V C Â M A R A D E B A U R U PAPEL SOCIAL DO CANAL LEGISLATIVO E SUAS RELAÇÕES COM A COMUNIDADE LOCAL

Esta pesquisa analisa a TV CÂMARA canal legislativo municipal da cidade de Bauru, SP. Os objetivos foram levantar as formas de uso do canal, analisar o conteúdo da programação produzida e veiculada para a realidade bauruense, suas contribuições sociais na construção da consciência cidadã e a aceitação do canal junto ao telespectador. Os procedimentos metodológicos incluíram a observação participante, que consistiu no acompanhamento interno das atividades do canal de março de 2002 a fevereiro de 2003 e em julho de 2003. A pesquisa documental que ofereceu dados sobre estratégias da programação e entrevistas, as quais permitiram colher informações sobre participação da comunidade nos programas e sua percepção sobre o papel do canal televisivo no município. Conclui-se que o canal abriu um considerável leque de opções na televisão local. A cidade se enxerga quando assiste o canal legislativo. Ainda assim a TV Câmara precisa se solidificar no meio em que atua. A participação da sociedade pode ser ampliada com mais programas e ainda de forma mais direta, inclusive na elaboração de pautas. O mais importante: o canal é um instrumento público.

From individualism to social solidarity – the philosophy of war in the works of Simone de Beauvoir

The horrors and suffering of World War II directly affected Simone de Beauvoir. Exposed to destruction and pervasive death, and haunted by the separation from her beloved, she is bound to conclude that an individual—especially an intellectual—is powerless when confronted with extreme violence. In this context, the writer becomes increasingly aware that action must be taken to defend both the common good and those whose lives are under threat. The restrained existentialist—an independent woman focused on her personal development and happiness—thus undergoes a kind of evolution, and becomes an author sincerely concerned with other people and their basic needs— especially with those suffering harm or afflicted by violence. The drama of war enables Beauvoir to adopt a broader view of the misery of human existence and to deal with subjects hitherto unbeknownst to her.

Face à la multiplication des projets de transport de pétrole brut envisagés par l’industrie pétrolière pour désenclaver les sables bitumineux, de nombreux mouvements d’opposition se sont mis en branle. On retrouve parmi eux notamment des organisations environnementales, des syndicats, des agriculteurs, des municipalités, mais aussi plusieurs groupes citoyens qui témoignent de la mobilisation citoyenne grandissante face à ces projets. Au Québec, l’un des groupes citoyens les plus en vue est la Fondation Coule pas chez nous. Ce groupe est en voie de devenir un acteur politique influent pour ce qui est de son opposition aux projets de transport de pétrole brut touchant le Québec. L’objectif principal de cet essai est donc d’analyser la Fondation Coule pas chez nous pour contribuer à comprendre quels sont les éléments qui ont mené aux succès obtenus par le groupe et quelle est l’influence du groupe sur le monde politique et sur la société. L’analyse de la Fondation Coule pas chez nous démontre tout d’abord que l’organisation et la mobilisation citoyenne qu’elle engendre répondent à la définition de ce qui est un mouvement social. L’analyse met aussi en évidence les forces du groupe, soit l’étendue du réseau sur lequel il s’appuie, la qualité des liens qu’il a pu tisser avec d’autres acteurs influents et son choix de structure d’organisation. À ceci s’ajoutent le pragmatisme de son argumentaire, sa présence sur le terrain et sa capacité à tirer avantage des opportunités qui s’offrent à lui, notamment à l’échelle municipale. Le groupe a aussi su tirer profit de plusieurs événements symboliques, notamment pour le lancement de sa campagne initiale et pour sa participation à diverses manifestations. Ses actions les plus importantes ont été son implication dans un recours judiciaire mené par le Centre québécois du droit de l’environnement et sa collaboration pour la publication du livre Le Piège Énergie Est d’Éric Pineault, paru sous les Éditions Écosociété. La Fondation Coule pas chez nous utilise principalement le discours du développement durable et les variantes de conscience et politique verte du discours de radicalisme vert. L’utilisation de ces discours pourrait lui avoir permis de contribuer à étendre la mobilisation citoyenne et à placer les enjeux des projets d’expansion du complexe des sables bitumineux sur l'agenda politique à l’échelle municipale, provinciale et fédérale. Le groupe pourrait également avoir eu un impact sur le changement de culture des gens, en les rendant plus actifs au sein de leur communauté. Plusieurs pistes et suggestions sont lancées en fin d’essai pour les suites du mouvement. Entre autres, il est conseillé d’impliquer le citoyen le plus possible, de s’assurer de construire une solidarité au sein du groupe et d’orienter le discours vers des émotions mobilisatrices et un ton positif. Il est également suggéré de développer davantage de partenariats avec les communautés autochtones et les mouvements à l’extérieur du Québec.

Discursos y prácticas culturales durante “La revolución en marcha”. Reforma educativa y cambio social

La República Liberal (1930-1946) se reconoce por los intentos de trasforma­ción social, aunque pueda cuestionarse su profundidad e impacto en la socie­dad. Los propósitos de trasformación intentan adaptar el país a los desafíos del capitalismo industrial y la moder­nidad intelectual. En este marco de cambios, se propone también la modifi­cación de los discursos y prácticas cul­turales para la modernización del país y, con ello, el evidente progreso que significaba, de los anhelos en boga, el avance hacia modelos de organización social. Una reforma estructural de la organización social exigía modificacio­nes en la conciencia de los individuos para que incorporasen los nuevos proyectos. Discurso y práctica cultural buscan, de esta forma, la modificación de las ideas de los individuos para su­marlos a los proyectos y reformas que estaban en marcha.

Princípios de responsabilidade social : como vão as coisas nas pequenas e médias empresas do Portugal periférico?

O presente trabalho aborda a problemática da Responsabilidade Social Empresarial no âmbito das Pequenas e Médias Empresas, e corresponde à dissertação exigida para conclusão do Mestrado em Gestão da Universidade de Évora. Analisa-se o 'estado da arte' naquela matéria, verifica-se que o problema da responsabilidade social não é uma novidade das últimas décadas e apresenta-se o resultado da aplicação no Alentejo de um inquérito utilizado no Brasil pela Ethos-Sebrae para medir a consciencialização das PME relativamente às questões da Responsabilidade Social. Conclui-se pela necessidade de implementar acções de formação, sensibilização e assessoria, junto dos pequenos empresários, através de Instituições sem fins lucrativos. ABSTRACT: This work is focused on the subjects of small and medium size enterprises concerning the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and it is the required exposition for the conclusion of the Master’s degree in Management given by the University of Évora. lt contains the analysis of the "state of the art" in this subject, confirming that the problem of social responsibility is not a new concern in the last decades. Besides it presents the result of the application in Alentejo of an inquire used in Brazil by Ethos- Sebrae to measure the level of conscience of the small and medium size companies in what concerns to their social responsibility. lt comes to the conclusion it is required that non-profit institutions should implement workshops, actions of awareness and advisory directed to small enterprisers.

Enterprise longevity in Colombian companies From a perspective of innovation and corporate social responsibility as a strategy

Hoy en día la Innovación y la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial son una herramienta clave para la perdurabilidad de una empresa a través del tiempo. Este es el caso de las organizaciones colombianas donde las decisiones de gerencia son enfocadas en el desarrollo de plataformas que soportan practicas sociales y éticas ya que estas incentivan a los trabajadores ofreciéndoles a sus clientes un mejor servicio y son necesarias para generar una estrategia de reputación, ganar fidelidad y credibilidad por parte de los consumidores. Crepes & Waffles es uno de los restaurantes colombianos más exitosos y que ha logrado mantenerse en el tiempo aún así en tiempos turbulentos. Su éxito se debe al uso de RSE en su estrategia, ellos crean innovación de valor en cada uno de sus platos al hacerlos diferentes, en el servicio al cliente y en los servicios y el buen trato que se le ofrece a los trabajadores. Por otro lado, Procolombia es una organización que promueve las exportaciones no tradicionales, la inversión extranjera y la marca país. Ellos al igual que Crepes & Waffles también se enfocan en la RSE y crea innovación de valor en sus procesos de orientar a las empresas a través de conferencias, seminarios, entrenamientos entre otras.

Innovación social: una reflexión sobre los beneficios en su implementación en el Estado colombiano.

La innovación social es un tipo de innovación que promueve la búsqueda de soluciones enfocadas a los problemas que se presentan en la sociedad. Estas soluciones generan además un valor agregado que ayudan al crecimiento del país. En Colombia este tipo de iniciativas han empezado a tener una gran importancia y han empezado a promover condiciones de vida más favorables y justas que buscan generar un beneficio a la sociedad y contribuir al desarrollo del país. A partir de la historia de la innovación social, ejemplos y grandes literatos en la administración y la sociología, comprenderemos la importancia de la innovación en nuestro país.

[the Teaching Of Social Sciences In Health: Between Practice And Theory].

The models of teaching social sciences and clinical practice are insufficient for the needs of practical-reflective teaching of social sciences applied to health. The scope of this article is to reflect on the challenges and perspectives of social science education for health professionals. In the 1950s the important movement bringing together social sciences and the field of health began, however weak credentials still prevail. This is due to the low professional status of social scientists in health and the ill-defined position of the social sciences professionals in the health field. It is also due to the scant importance attributed by students to the social sciences, the small number of professionals and the colonization of the social sciences by the biomedical culture in the health field. Thus, the professionals of social sciences applied to health are also faced with the need to build an identity, even after six decades of their presence in the field of health. This is because their ambivalent status has established them as a partial, incomplete and virtual presence, requiring a complex survival strategy in the nebulous area between social sciences and health.

[almost An Autobiography: A Study Of Social Scientists In Health Based On The Lattes Curriculum].

Among the various ways of adopting the biographical approach, we used the curriculum vitaes (CVs) of Brazilian researchers who work as social scientists in health as our research material. These CVs are part of the Lattes Platform of CNPq - the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, which includes Research and Institutional Directories. We analyzed 238 CVs for this study. The CVs contain, among other things, the following information: professional qualifications, activities and projects, academic production, participation in panels for the evaluation of theses and dissertations, research centers and laboratories and a summarized autobiography. In this work there is a brief review of the importance of autobiography for the social sciences, emphasizing the CV as a form of autobiographical practice. We highlight some results, such as it being a group consisting predominantly of women, graduates in social sciences, anthropology, sociology or political science, with postgraduate degrees. The highest concentration of social scientists is located in Brazil's southern and southeastern regions. In some institutions the main activities of social scientists are as teachers and researchers with great thematic diversity in research.

Juan César García: Social Medicine As Project And Endeavor.

This paper analyses some aspects of the trajectory of the Argentinian physician and sociologist Juan César García (1932-1984) in the field of Latin American Social Medicine. Three dimensions constituting his basic orientations are highlighted: the elaboration of systematic and reflective social thought; a critical attitude in questioning teaching and professional practices; a commitment to the institutionalization and dissemination of health knowledge.

Brazilian multicentre study of common mental disorders in primary care: rates and related social and demographic factors

Mental health problems are common in primary health care, particularly anxiety and depression. This study aims to estimate the prevalence of common mental disorders and their associations with socio-demographic characteristics in primary care in Brazil (Family Health Strategy). It involved a multicenter cross-sectional study with patients from Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Fortaleza (Ceará State) and Porto Alegre (Rio Grande do Sul State), assessed using the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12) and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HAD). The rate of mental disorders in patients from Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Fortaleza and Porto Alegre were found to be, respectively, 51.9%, 53.3%, 64.3% and 57.7% with significant differences between Porto Alegre and Fortaleza compared to Rio de Janeiro after adjusting for confounders. Prevalence proportions of mental problems were especially common for females, the unemployed, those with less education and those with lower incomes. In the context of the Brazilian government's moves towards developing primary health care and reorganizing mental health policies it is relevant to consider common mental disorders as a priority alongside other chronic health conditions.
