Escolas diferenciadas praticam um ensino de ciências diferenciado para melhor!?: o que dizem os estudantes sobre o ensino de ciências de uma escola de aplicação

O presente estudo é relativo às práticas docentes no ensino de ciências em uma Escola de Aplicação tida como escola diferenciada positivamente em termos da qualidade de suas práticas de ensino, das condições de trabalho de seus professores e pelo suposto interesse de atualização permanente para assegurar aprendizagem significativa aos estudantes e prepará-los para exercer a cidadania. Meu objetivo foi identificar parâmetros de diferenciação qualitativa do ensino na área de Ciências, considerando justamente que a experimentação pedagógica foi uma das vertentes que dirigiu a criação de ‘escolas de aplicação’ no País. Esta investigação se desenvolve em uma modalidade de pesquisa narrativa por meio da qual se objetiva evidenciar, a partir do relato dos estudantes sobre suas experiências no ensino de ciências, como se configuram as práticas de ensino, especialmente em termos de: a) seleção de conteúdos, b) abordagens teórico-metodológicas do ensino, c) interação professor aluno e aluno-aluno em classe e fora desta, bem como d) práticas, critérios e procedimentos de avaliação do ensino e da aprendizagem. Procurei investigar como os alunos percebem e que valores atribuem às práticas de ensino de Ciências, configuradas especialmente como “boas aulas de ciências”. Tendo como foco os relatos dos estudantes de 5ª a 8ª séries da escola pesquisada, sobre as práticas de ensino de ciências que vivenciam, assumo como premissa, que estes possuem idéias, percepções e concepções acerca do processo de ensino e de aprendizagem. As análises por mim procedidas apontam para uma prática de ensino reprodutiva e memorativa, pouco diferente das práticas tradicionais usuais das escolas comuns. No tocante à natureza das aulas e à temática dessas aulas, pouco se valoriza os conhecimentos prévios dos estudantes, predominando um tipo de aula em que os alunos passivamente se limitam a observar o trabalho docente, reproduzem ou repetem quando solicitados aspectos de conteúdos/conhecimento informativo de temas e assuntos das ciências fechados no programa a cumprir e descontextualizados, sem qualquer relação com a realidade, com o mundo em que os estudantes vivem. A guisa de conclusão, considero que as possibilidades e os limites desse ensino obsoleto e ultrapassado de Ciências evidenciados pelos estudantes põem em questão o ensino atual da área e colocam desafios para esta escola de aplicação e para seus professores, em função principalmente das condições privilegiadas de uma escola de aplicação. Torna-se imprescindível que se retome tais práticas de ensino para atualizá-las ao se buscar refletir coletivamente sobre os conteúdos que podem ser significativos para os estudantes, sua relação com o mundo de hoje, bem como sobre as metodologias para tratamento dos conteúdos das Ciências na perspectiva da efetiva construção da aprendizagem significativa dos estudantes, preparando-os de fato para a cidadania.

Falling Man: A literatura em busca de possíveis significados para um espaço vazio

September 11 has originated a wide range of artistic manifestations which have not only searched for plausible explanations for the tragedy, but also tried to review the events. In this sense, this paper aims at showing how a novel reevaluates this episode. The attacks made the United States experience a strong sense of vulnerability triggering reactions from the American government, whose quick action was translated into a new national security strategy associated with the war on terror. This paper analyzes the narrative strategies employed by the American author Don DeLillo in his novel Falling Man (2007) in order to reevaluate that tragedy. The debate of the topics is based on texts concerning the relationship between literature and history, postmodern fiction and issues on terrorism. This study contributes to enrich the discussion related to the events that led to the catastrophe and its aftermath, examining characters and groups linked to the September 11 terrorist attacks, revealing multiple truths subjected to social, ideological and historical conditions.

According to the Informational Society of the twentieth century, man develops society of the spectacle, where life becomes virtual and the individual ceases to be a spectator becoming the protagonist of wikiciberepopéia and organizations seeking to gain the attention and time of its consumers through new communication strategies. If the great epics of mankind brought mythical heroes, divine, with powers (mostly above the mortals), in the era of new technologies, the common man is in the hands the opportunity to become the hero of his own ciberepopéia. Increasingly resistant to traditional advertising, the new model of media consumer, the prosumer, the storytelling is transforming into one of the main communication tools of contemporary organizations. Offer your audience a creative and relevant content across several media platforms is a major brand positioning strategies currently used, in addition to providing the transmission of values and organizational principles in a subjective manner. Storytelling where objects are extensions of the human body (eg, the cell can be treated as an extension of the ears) is a strong indication of a technocratic society, because we can consider the new technologies as extensions of the human brain (as new store technologies, create meanings, share information through a specific language) and the individual who is on the edge of new technology ends up being excluded from certain social events. This new world tends to put an end to separation between seemingly contrary ideas, such as reality/fiction, natural/cultural and the man who emerges from this medium is not the creator, but rather, transforming what already exists. La drammatizzazione della storia. Uno studio del secondo Novecento attraverso i racconti del teatro di narrazione.

Sorto alla fine degli anni ottanta del Novecento, il teatro di narrazione ha raggiunto un notevole successo di pubblico a partire dagli anni Novanta. I suoi legami con il giornalismo d'inchiesta hanno condotto questo genere teatrale verso la narrazione di alcuni tra gli eventi pi controversi della storia dell'Italia repubblicana; eventi non ancora risolti sul piano processuale o al centro di una memoria storica fortemente divisa. Marco Baliani, Marco Paolini e Ascanio Celestini sono i tre autori che abbiamo scelto per affrontare un'analisi delle loro narrazioni in merito, rispettivamente, all'omicidio di Aldo Moro, alla strage di Ustica e all'eccidio delle Fosse Ardeatine. Oggetto della ricerca l'analisi dell'utilizzo delle fonti da dichiarate o comunque utilizzate dai narratori per la costruzione delle loro performances la loro selezione, la loro interpretazione e la loro disposizione nel testo e la messa in evidenza del problema della verità e del suo rapporto con il verosimile nelle narrazioni teatrali di eventi storici. Particolare attenzione viene inoltre posta al grande dibattito internazionale tra storia e fiction, alle strategie di coinvolgimento dell'opinione pubblica su temi morali e politici nonché all'analisi dei fattori economici e delle committenze che sono alla base di tali narrazioni.

“But look: we have sat here too long”: Hilary Mantel’s tightrope walk of present-tense usage

Even after Hilary Mantel has won the Man Booker prize two times in a row with Wolf Hall and Bring up the Bodies, her novelistic account of the life of Thomas Cromwell, her intriguing decision to write these historical novels in the present tense gave cause to surprisingly little extended comment beyond a perfunctory nod to its evocation of immediacy. This presents not only a lacunae in the discussion about Mantel’s novels, but is also symptomatic for a change in the contemporary critical evaluation of present-tense narration in general. If present-tense narration once used to be a marker for experimental daring and might even have implied a certain hostility towards fictionality, Mantel’s novels give ample evidence that literary sensibilities have changed. In order to understand the scope and nature of this change, my paper puts Mantel’s use of the present tense in the context of both the historical development of present-tense usage and the ample contemporary landscape of present-tense narration. This allows me to show that the complexities of present-tense usage belie a reduction of its effect to an evocation of immediacy. Rather, I argue, Mantel uses it for a delicate tightrope walk between proximity and distance, history and fiction, authenticity and imagination.

Voces desde la historia : Ignacio Solares y la novela de la revolución mexicana

A partir de los nuevos paradigmas que conocemos como Novelas Históricas Posmodernas, el escritor mexicano retoma esa extensa línea temática que se origina en el acontecimiento histórico que convulsionó, a principios del siglo XX, la extensa geografía mexicana. El objetivo de este trabajo es abarcar el estudio de las tres novelas de Solares que se ocupan de textualizar episodios de la Revolución: Madero, el otro, de 1989, La noche de Ángeles, de 1991, Columbus, 1996. La elección de las figuras manifiesta la intención de devolverles su verdadera voz desde esa mirada que sólo permite la ficción, en tanto los hechos contados surgieron “más de lo simbólicamente verdadero que de lo históricamente exacto". La atención estará en destacar la presencia de voces que, desde una particular focalización, se ocuparán de insertar en el discurso modalizaciones diversas. Estas voces habrán de problematizar, con mayor o menor intensidad según los diversos registros, impugnando, cuestionando o rescatando ciertos actos oscuros del pasado, llevados a cabo por quienes protagonizaron la gesta revolucionaria. El tono apelativo característico explicita, por otra parte, el lugar desde el cual la historia debe ser leída.
