Planificación estratégica de la calidad del Centro Deportivo Podium: 2007-2009

INTRODUCCIÓN: La planificación estratégica de la calidad de la empresa que vamos a analizar, va a definir su razón de ser en el mercado, su estado deseado en el futuro y va a desarrollar los objetivos y las acciones concretas para llegar a alcanzar el estado deseado. Se refiere en esencia, al proceso de preparación necesario para alcanzar los objetivos de calidad. Los principales elementos dentro de la planificación estratégica de la calidad son: 1. La Misión, cuya declaración clarifica el fin, propósito o razón de ser de la organización y explica claramente en que negocio se encuentra. 2. La Visión, que describe el estado deseado por la empresa en el futuro y sirve de línea de referencia para todas las actividades de la organización. 3. Las Estrategias claves: principales líneas de actuación para el futuro que la empresa define para el logro de la visión. El fin de nuestro plan de gestión de calidad debe ser disponer de un documento de consulta que permita racionalizar las actividades del marketing en la empresa con el objeto de servir como herramienta de conocimiento del mercado en relación a la prestación de servicios deportivos, de información al mercado de éstos, de la realización y de la optimización de los recursos determinando la conducta de los clientes y conseguir gestionar de forma eficaz cada uno de los procesos que la prestación de este tipo de servicios requiere. CENTRO DEPORTIVO PODIUM, nace como opción al pequeño centro dotado de una mínima infraestructura en el año 2003, con el propósito de ofrecer actividades deportivas teniendo siempre en cuenta la satisfacción del cliente, intentando mejorar día a día la calidad en sus servicios. El centro ha ido poco a poco ampliando sus instalaciones hasta llegar a lo que es hoy en día, un centro de 1000 m² donde no solo se oferta actividad física, también ofrece servicios de belleza y bienestar. El término calidad se ha resentido, a lo largo de los años, por el hecho de haber sido utilizado para describir atributos tales como la belleza, la bondad, el alto precio, la frescura y, sobre todo el lujo. Todo esto hace que la calidad aparezca con un concepto muy difícil de entender, y casi imposible de gestionar. Antes de poder planificar y gestionar la calidad, debe definirse de manera más precisa y significativa. En la Gestión de Calidad Total, existe una apuesta imprescindible, y es el total compromiso de la dirección del centro deportivo por la calidad. Dentro del concepto de calidad, podemos diferenciar cuatro pisos: El primer piso consiste en asegurarse de que se comprenden y se satisfacen los requisitos de todos los clientes. El segundo piso se conforma “haciendo bien el servicio a la primera, siempre”. En el tercer piso se reconoce que algunas actividades son innecesarias. El objetivo del cuarto piso es acortar el tiempo que se tarda y los costes en que se incurre para lanzar nuevos servicios al mercado. El hecho de llegar al mercado los primeros, con un nuevo servicio suele aportar una ventaja competitiva significativa. La calidad en el centro deportivo se debe trabajar conscientemente, para conseguirla como se desea, por lo tanto es necesario aunar y dirigir todos los esfuerzos si se quiere alcanzar resultados satisfactorios.

Dublin Docklands Development Authority architectural concept competition for a landmark tower/U2 studio

The U2 Tower competition entry involved the architectural design for a landmark office tower with associated head office for the world acclaimed rock band U2. The selected site for the office tower was located on the banks of the river Liffey, Dublin. The tower design was intended as a signifier or gateway to the docklands and the city itself. The proposed design incorporated a podium level for music retail and a media centre, a concourse level including cafeteria and outdoor areas as well as a commercial tower.

In November 1993, Professor Alexei Yablokov, who at the time was the Science Advisor to Russian President Boris Yeltsin, stood on a podium in Galveston, Tex., and delivered a speech to the Society for Marine Mammalogy’s biennial conference, the premier international event in the field of marine mammal science. 通过研究围栏封育1年后中度退化的矮嵩草草甸（夏季牧场）群落结构的变化,探讨主要植物种群在小尺度（50 cm×50 cm）上的空间分布格局,并从生活史特征和生态适应对策等角度探讨产生和维持这些格局的机理。结果表明,围封1年显著降低了群落中主要种群矮嵩草（Kobresia humilis）、高山唐松草（Thalictrum alpinum）和雪白委陵菜（Potentilla nivea）的重要值,而增加了线叶龙胆（Gentiana farreri）的重要值;显著增加了群落的地上生物量和总生物量,但对地下生物量和群落多样性的影响不显著。围封使退化矮嵩草草甸主要种群矮嵩草、高山唐松草、珠芽蓼（Polygonum viviparum）、线叶嵩草（Kobresia capillifolia）和金露梅（Potentilla fruticosa）等空间分布格局从放牧后的随机分布向聚集分布发展,而雪白委陵菜、重齿风毛菊（S.katochaeteMaxim）、矮火绒草（Leonto-podium nanum）和美丽风毛菊（Saussurea pulchra）等种群的空间分布格局没有发生改变;但黑褐苔草（Carex atro-fusca）的空间格局从放牧后的聚集分布转向随机分布。因此,退化的矮嵩草草甸在围封的初始阶段,由于避免了家畜的选择性采食及其践踏作用,首先可能是使主要种群的空间分布格局有从随机分布向聚集分布变化的趋势,从而使小尺度的种间隔离来降低种间的竞争强度,从而改变了不同物种对资源和空间的竞争能力,进而推动群落物种组成和结构的恢复演替。

Report on the 2014 UKONS Annual Conference Belfast, 14–15 November 2014: focus on living with and beyond cancer, patient information and support, and innovations in treatment and care

The UK Oncology Nursing Society’s (UKONS) annual conference focused on three major themes. These were ‘Living With and Beyond Cancer’, ‘Patient Information and Support’, and ‘Innovations in Treatment and Care’. It featured a wide range of presentations, industry satellites, exhibitions, poster discussions. and workshops. Presenters ranged from those eminent in their particular field to those gracing the speaker’s podium for the first time. The rich variety of presentations covered policy, cancer trends, clinical developments, care initiatives, personal development, and advances in practice. There was a strong emphasis on skills, knowledge, values, and attitudes, with the most junior and novice nurses mixing with experienced and highly esteemed practitioners.

The economic impact of the event Volta a Portugal em Bicicleta 2015

This thesis is a Field Lab project requested by the organizer of the Volta a Portugal em Bicicleta 2015, Podium Events. Its purpose is to determine the economic impact of the event for the 21 host economies and Portugal as a whole. The Volta started in Viseu and ended in Lisboa, and lasted for two weeks from the 29th July until the 8th August. Results were computed by accessing data provided by the different economic agents involved in the event (spectators, attendees and organizer), through face-to-face surveys and contact via e-mail. Understanding the financial status of a group of high performance athletes

With the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games quickly approaching, there has been a heightened interest in the performance of Canadian athletes at international competitions (Duffy, 2007; Fidlin, 2005; Longley, 2006). Two significant documents outline Canada's goal to become the number one sporting nation at the 2010 Olympic Games, and improve Canada's performance at the 2008 Olympic Games: Own the Podium and Road to Excellence (Priestner Allinger & Allinger, 2004; Road to Excellence, 2006). These two documents represent heightened interest in the performance of our elite athletes, in conjunction with Canada's hosting status of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games. The requirements to train and compete at the international level have become more demanding both in terms of financial resources and time commitment. The need to financially assist athletes with their training and competition costs has been an important topic of debate over the past decades (Beamish & Borowy, 1987; Gatehouse, 2004; Macintosh, 1996; Munro, 1970; Owens, 2004). Two sources of fiinding for high performance athletes in Canada are the Athlete Assistance Program (AAP) provided by the Federal Government and the Canadian Olympic Excellence Fund provided by the Canadian Olympic Committee. The importance of these fiinds for athletes has been discussed in various forums (Ekos, 1992, 1997, 2005; Priestner Allinger & Allinger, 2004; Thibault «& Babiak, 2005). However, alternative sources of funds for high performance athletes have never been the object of research. As such the purpose of this study was to describe a group of athlete applicants from the time period of November 2004 to April 2006, and to contextualize these applications within the development of the Charitable Fund for Athletes.
