Manual de boas práticas para cadastro de IP

Nos últimos meses o CPI (Centro Português de Iluminação),tem realizado uma série de seminários, por todo o País, para divulgar o seu último documento, recentemente impresso, ”Manual de Boas práticas para Cadastro de IP”. É pertinente perguntar porque é que havendo iluminação pública há mais de 100 anos em Portugal, se lembra agora o CPI da criação de um ” Manual de Boas práticas para Cadastro de IP”. As razões para a criação de um documento sobre um tema aparentemente fácil e óbvio são muitas, como veremos mais adiante. A crise económica que abraçou o país a partir de 2010 demonstrou que as opções políticas energéticas em Iluminação Pública (IP) não são sustentáveis face aos custos operacionais inerentes.

Dendrometria de espécies nativas em plantios homogêneos no estado de Roraima: andiroba (Carapa guianensis Aubl), castanha-do-Brasil (Bertholletia excelsa Bonpl.), ipê-roxo (Tabebuia avellanedae Lorentz ex Griseb) e jatobá (Hymenaea courbaril L.)

Estudou-se o crescimento e a seleção de equações para quatro espécies florestais nativas visando identificar espécies promissoras para o plantio em programas de reflorestamentos e em sistemas agroflorestais no Estado de Roraima. O crescimento da andiroba (Carapa guianensis Aubl.), da castanha-do-brasil (Bertholletia excelsa Bonpl.), do ipê-roxo (Tabebuia avellanedae Lorentz ex Griseb.) e do jatobá (Hymenaea courbaril L.), aos sete anos de idade, mostrou-se promissor atingindo incrementos médios anuais em volume comercial de 6.3; 14.6; 6.0 e 2.3 m³.ha-1.ano-1, respectivamente. Em relação ao crescimento em diâmetro, todas as espécies apresentaram incrementos médios anuais em diâmetro maiores do que 1 cm, sendo superiores aos observados para árvores crescendo em florestas naturais. A análise estatística, indicou a equação hipsométrica de Prodan como a de melhor ajuste para estimar a altura em função do diâmetro para as quatro espécies analisadas. No entanto, a análise gráfica indicou que a forma da curva altura/diâmetro variou com a espécie sendo necessário o ajuste em separado. O ajuste de equações de volume comercial com casca e fator de forma comercial mostraram ser necessário o ajuste de diferentes equações em função da espécie. A análise gráfica das curvas de volume comercial e fator de forma indicaram que as espécies diferiram em ambos os parâmetros, indicando que a utilização de um fator de forma médio para todas as espécies deve ser evitado, como forma de aumentar a precisão nas estimativas volumétricas.

Untersuchung der Auswirkung der MAC-Zugriffsverfahren im IEEE 802.11 auf die L4-Performance in mobilen IP-Netzen

Gegenstand der hier vorliegenden Arbeit ist die Untersuchung der Auswirkung der MAC-Zugriffsverfahren CSMA/CA auf das Transportschicht-Protokoll in WLAN-Netzen. Zum Erreichen des Ziels dieser Arbeit wurde es zuerst nachgewiesen, dass CSMA/CA zum TCP-Retransmission führen könnte. Dann die kumulative Verteilung der OWDs auf jedem Szena-rio analysiert. Am Ende wurde die kumulative Verteilung der Abstände zwischen den Spitzenwerten der OWD nach der Datenverarbeitung auf jedem Szenario analysiert.

Implementation of Multi-Core Processor Based on PLASMA (Most MIPS I) IP Core

Multi-core processors is a design philosophy that has become mainstream in scientific and engineering applications. Increasing performance and gate capacity of recent FPGA devices has permitted complex logic systems to be implemented on a single programmable device. By using VHDL here we present an implementation of one multi-core processor by using the PLASMA IP core based on the (most) MIPS I ISA and give an overview of the processor architecture and share theexecution results.

A Model of Video Traffic Transmission in IP Networks

Telecommunications and network technology is now the driving force that ensures continued progress of world civilization. Design of new and expansion of existing network infrastructures requires improving the quality of service(QoS). Modeling probabilistic and time characteristics of telecommunication systems is an integral part of modern algorithms of administration of quality of service. At present, for the assessment of quality parameters except simulation models analytical models in the form of systems and queuing networks are widely used. Because of the limited mathematical tools of models of these classes the corresponding parameter estimation of parameters of quality of service are inadequate by definition. Especially concerning the models of telecommunication systems with packet transmission of multimedia real-time traffic.

The Research of Increase of Channel Efficiency for IP Traffic Transmission over Digital Power Line Carrier Channels

This article is devoted to the research of channel efficiency for IP-traffic transmission over Digital Power Line Carrier channels. The application of serial WAN connections and header compression as methods to increase channel efficiency is considered. According to the results of the research an effective solution for network traffic transmission in DPLC networks was proposed.

Creació d'IP Cores en una plataforma NIOS: metodologia de disseny

NIOS és el processador que Altera empra en els seus dissenys SOC (System On Chip). Per tal de facilitar-ne el seu ús, Altera també proporciona una plataforma de desenvolupament SOPC (System On Programable Chip) que agilitza enormement el disseny d’aquests sistemes. Així doncs, aquest projecte està centrat en la definició metodològica per a la creació d'IP Cores en una plataforma NIOS.

En aquesta memòria l'autor, fent servir un enfoc modern, redissenya i implementa la plataforma que una empresa de telecomunicacions del segle 21 necessita per poder donar serveis de telefonia i comunicacions als seus usuaris i clients. Al llarg d'aquesta exposició es condueix al lector des d'una fase inicial de disseny fins a la implementació i posada en producció del sistema final desenvolupat, centrant-nos en solucionar les necessitats actuals que això implica. Aquesta memòria cubreix el software, hardware i els processos de negoci associats al repte de fer realitat aquest objectiu, i presenta al lector les múltiples tecnologies emprades per aconseguir-ho, fent emfàsi en la convergència actual de xarxes cap al concepte de xarxes IP i basant-se en aquesta tendència i utilitzant aquesta tecnologia de veu sobre IP per donar forma a la plataforma que finalment, de forma pràctica, es posa en producció.

Interleukin-28B polymorphisms, IP-10, viral load and age predict the outcome of therapy in genotype 1 hepatitis C virus under real-life conditions

Background and Aims: IL28B polymorphisms, interferon (IFN)-gamma inducible protein-10 (IP-10) levels and the homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) score have been reported to predict rapid (RVR) and sustained (SVR) virological response in chronic hepatitis C (CHC), but it is not known whether these factors represent independent, clinically useful predictors. The aim of the study was to assess factors (including IL28B polymorphisms, IP-10 levels and HOMA-IR score) independently predicting response to therapy in CHC under real life conditions.Methods: Multivariate analysis of factors predicting RVR and SVR in 280 consecutive, treatment-naive CHC patients treated with pegylated IFN alpha and ribavirin in a prospective multicenter study.Results: Independent predictors of RVR were HCV RNA < 400,000 IU/ml (OR11.37; 95% CI 3.03-42.6), rs12980275 AA (vs. AG/GG) (OR 7.09; 1.97-25.56) and IP-10 (OR 0.04; 0.003-0.56) in HCV genotype 1 patients and lower baseline γ-glutamyl-transferase levels (OR = 0.02; 0.0009-0.31) in HCV genotype 3 patients. Independent predictors of SVR were rs12980275 AA (OR 9.68; 3.44-27.18), age < 40 yrs (OR = 4.79; 1.50-15.34) and HCV RNA < 400,000 IU/ml (OR 2.74; 1.03-7.27) in HCV genotype 1 patients and rs12980275 AA (OR = 6.26; 1.98-19.74) and age < 40 yrs (OR 5.37; 1.54-18.75) in the 88 HCV genotype 1 patients without a RVR. RVR was by itself predictive of SVR in HCV genotype 1 patients (32 of 33, 97%; OR 33.0; 4.06-268.32) and the only independent predictor of SVR in HCV genotype 2 (OR 9.0, 1.72-46.99; p=0.009) or 3 patients (OR 7.8, 1.43-42.67; p=0.01).Conclusions: In HCV genotype 1 patients, IL28B polymorphisms, HCV RNA load and IP-10 independently predict RVR. The combination of IL28B polymorphisms, HCV RNA level and age may yield more accurate pretreatment prediction of SVR. HOMA-IR score is not associated with viral response.

Is the Spanish Inheritance and Gift Tax incompatible with the free movement of workers and capital?: The reasoned opinion of the EU Commission IP/10/513

The aim of my speech is answering to the question if the Spanish Inheritance and Gift Tax is incompatible with the free movement of workers and capital. We are going to pay special attention to the European Commission’s request to Spain to change its Inheritance and Gift Tax provisions for Non-Residents or Assets held abroad. In order to answer to the question mentioned above five points will be explained. At first place I am going to describe the infrengement procedure established in the Article 258 that the EU Commission can follow when a Member State doesn’t comply with Community Law. At second place, we are going to explain what is the content of the EU Commission delivered on 5th of may 2010 regarding the spanish Inheritance and Gift Tax. Then, we will analise what establishes the Community Law regarding the freedom of workers and capital and how they are understood by the EU Court of Justice in similar cases. Finally, we are going to provide possible amendments that Spain could undertake.

Estudio de los mensajes de control del protocolo multicast PIM SM

OPNET es una herramienta de simulación de redes muy potente, donde se puede configurar cualquier tipo de red existente. Esta herramienta nos ayuda a “probar” sin tener que montar ninguna red física, una gran ventaja sobre todo para protocolos experimentales o para el diseño de los mismos. En este proyecto se utiliza el OPNET para explotar el protocolo multicast PIM-SM. Se establecerá un modelo de red, donde estarán configurados los nodos de forma estratégica para intentar extraer el máximo de información del comportamiento en esta situación del protocolo PIM-SM.

El projecte que ens ocupa ha tingut com a objectiu oferir com a servei principal la localització geogràfica d'una adreça d'Internet mitjançant l'ús del subconjunt de tècniques més eficaces de les existents a l'actualitat.

Tracta la realització de l'estudi sobre el sistema d'adreçament IP a Internet, a fi d'obtenir una aplicació que ens mostri gràficament sobre un mapa mundial el recorregut des de l'origen fins la destinació. També subministra informació parcial obtinguda al procés de consultes.
