CO2 reforming of toluene as model compound of biomass tar on Ni/Palygorskite

Catalytic CO2 reforming of biomass tar on palygorskite-supported nickel catalysts using toluene as a model compound of biomass tar was investigated. The experiments were performed in a bench scale installation a fixed bed reactor. All experiments were carried out at 650, 750, 800 °C and atmospheric pressure. The effect of Ni loading, reaction temperature and concentration of CO2 on H2 yield and carbon deposit was investigated. Ni/Palygorskite (Ni/PG) catalysts with Ni/PG ratios of 0%, 2%, 5% and 8% were tested, the last two show the best performance. H2 yield and carbon deposit diminished with the increase of reaction temperature, Ni loading, and CO2 concentration.

Polarization enhancement in compositionally graded vanadium doped bismuth titanate thin films

Compositionally up and downgraded Bi4-x/3Ti3-xVxO12 (x=0.0, 0.012,0.03, 0.06) thin films were grown on Pt coated silicon substrates by pulsed laser deposition technique. Downgraded fabrication showed improved ferroelectric polarization in comparison to upgraded fabrication. Films deposited at 650 and 700 degrees C showed very large remnant polarization (2P(r)) value of 82 mu C cm(-2), which is comparatively large among all bismuth based thin films reported so far. A mechanism based on vanadium enrich seeded layer formation in the downgraded structure is proposed for the improvement. Moreover, frequency independent behavior (100Hz-5kHz) of the graded films ensures its potential application for various microelectronic devices. (c) 2010 American Institute of Physics. La confesión en el Salmo 106 (107) de la traducción jerónima iuxta Hebraeos

Resumen: El salmo 106 (107) es una confesión de la misericordia de Dios que hace desvanecer las necesidades y angustias de quien clama a Él en distintas instancias de su camino de purificación y perfección. A la vez que confiesa, exhorta a la confesión. Esta confesión está estrechamente unida a la confianza y al abandono en Dios a las que, a su vez, se dirige dicha purificación. En la traducción jerónima iuxta Hebraeos hay marcas lingüísticas que indican el sentido de esta confesión, especialmente mediante la estructura confiteor + dativo.

O relator da Constituinte o Deputado Bernardo Cabral concluiu o parecer sobre das emendas do 1º Turno, ele estabeleceu calendário para a votação no 2º Turno e falou como foi o trabalho. O artigo que recebeu mais emendas causou surpresa ao relator da Constituinte. A respeito dos pontos polêmicos o Deputado Bernardo Cabral definiu item por item, começando pelo voto aos 16 anos, a licença maternidade e paternidade e jornada de trabalho. Bernardo Cabral disse como acha que ficará o problema da Anistia Fiscal e a Nova Constituição. O Presidente da Constituinte, Ulysses Guimarães, recebeu das mãos do Relator, Bernardo Cabral, o parecer de cada uma das 1844 emendas dos Constituintes para o 2º Turno.

Saprolegnia on roach (Leuciscus rutilus) and carp (Cyprinus carpio) [Translation from: Acta zool.pathol.Antverpiensia 43 107-123, 1976]

There is, in nature, as well as in the aquarium, a parasitic disease known as 'mousse' and which attacks predominantly fish. It is caused by Phycomycete fungi, genus Saprolegnia. The fungus causes external lesions and covers the fish with a thick white layer from whence comes the name 'mousse', commonly attributed to the disease, for which the scientific name is Saprolegnia. This article provides an overview of Saprolegnia infections on fish in nature and aquaria and then discusses symptomology of Saprolegnia in the mirror caro and t roach in more detail.

Intrinsic state lifetimes in Pd103 and Cd106,107

The mean-lifetimes, τ, of various medium-spin excited states in Pd103 and Cd106,107 have been deduced using the Recoil Distance Doppler Shift technique and the Differential Decay Curve Method. In Cd106, the mean-lifetimes of the Iπ=12+ state at Ex=5418 keV and the Iπ=11- state at Ex=4324 keV have been deduced as 11.4(17)ps and 8.2(7)ps, respectively. The associated β2 deformation within the axially-symmetric deformed rotor model for these states are 0.14(1) and 0.14(1), respectively. The β2 deformation of 0.14(1) for the Iπ=12+ state in Cd106 compares with a predicted β2 value from total Routhian surface (TRS) calculations of 0.17. In addition, the mean-lifetimes of the yrast Iπ=152- states in Pd103 (at Ex=1262 keV) and Cd107 (at Ex=1360 keV) have been deduced to be 31.2(44)ps and 31.4(17)ps, respectively, corresponding to β2 values of 0.16(1) and 0.12(1) assuming axial symmetry. Agreement with TRS calculations are good for Pd103 but deviate for that predicted for Cd107. © 2007 The American Physical Society.
