Adaptação à cultura brasileira dos questionários The O'Leary-Sant e PUF, usados para cistite intersticial

O objetivo deste estudo foi traduzir e adaptar à cultura brasileira os instrumentos The O'Leary-Sant e PUF, utilizados no diagnóstico de cistite intersticial. Foram realizadas as etapas metodológicas recomendadas pela literatura internacional para a adaptação cultural. As etapas de tradução, síntese das traduções e retrotradução foram realizadas satisfatoriamente, e a avaliação das versões sintéticas pelo comitê de especialistas resultou em algumas alterações, assegurando as equivalências entre as versões originais e traduzidas. O PUF foi pré-testado entre 40 sujeitos e The O'Leary-Sant em uma amostra de 50 indivíduos, devido à necessidade de ajustes em decorrência da baixa escolaridade da população. O processo de tradução e adaptação foi realizado com sucesso e os instrumentos, após as modificações, demonstraram ser de fácil compreensão e rápido preenchimento. Entretanto, este é um estudo que antecede o processo de validação e será premente o emprego do instrumento em novas pesquisas para que sejam avaliadas suas propriedades psicométricas.

Entretiens phénoménologiques et entretiens focalisés sur l'activité : analyse comparative, similitudes et variations.

Cet article présente une analyse comparative des résultats de deux formes d'entretiens : en 2005, des entretiens phénoménologiques, en 2006 des entretiens centrés sur l'activité. Deux problématiques sont abordées : la perception de la santé au travail et les pratiques de contraception. Nous présentons les premiers résultats de cette analyse comparative : ils montrent que l'adaptation des entretiens centrés sur l'activité au domaine de la santé présente un grand intérêt au niveau des apports de contenus. Le retour du sujet sur le discours concernant son activité concrète facilite la réflexivité et conduit à des transformations personnelles. Des difficultés concernant la position du chercheur et l'adéquation de la technique à la Psychologie de la Santé sont discutées. Cette première exploration ne détermine pas encore ce qui est dû à la différence des techniques. Nos travaux comparatifs vont se poursuivre en vue d'explorer des alternatives méthodologiques applicables en Psychologie de la Santé.

Activation of c-Jun in the nuclei of neurons of the CA-1 in thrombin preconditioning occurs via PAR-1.

Recently it has been shown that the c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) plays a role in thrombin preconditioning (TPC) in vivo and in vitro. To investigate further the pathways involved in TPC, we performed an immunohistochemical study in hippocampal slice cultures. Here we show that the major target of JNK, the AP-1 transcription factor c-Jun, is activated by phosphorylation in the nuclei of neurons of the CA1 region by using phospho-specific antibodies against the two JNK phosphorylation sites. The activation is early and transient, peaking at 90 min and not present by 3 hr after low-dose thrombin administration. Treatment of cultures with a synthetic thrombin receptor agonist results in the same c-Jun activation profile and protection against subsequent OGD, both of which are prevented by specific JNK inhibitors, showing that thrombin signals through PAR-1 to JNK. By using an antibody against the Ser 73 phosphorylation site of c-Jun, we identify possible additional TPC substrates.

Daniel Sudermann als Romanleser. Spuren weltlicher Literatur des Mittelalters in einer geistlichen Büchersammlung der Frühen Neuzeit

Der Beitrag untersucht Handschriften mit weltlichen Texten, die sich aus der geistlichen Büchersammlung des Spiritualisten und Schwenckfeld-Anhängers Daniel Sudermann (1550-ca. 1631) erhalten haben oder für diese Sammlung erschlossen werden können. Anhand von Lektürenotizen Sudermanns in seinen Handschriften sowie einem kommentierten Bücherverzeichnis, aber auch anhand von inhaltlichen Bezügen der Texte untereinander werden mögliche Anziehungspunkte und konkrete Leseinteressen rekonstruiert, die Sudermann mit der Profanliteratur des Mittelalters verbunden haben könnte. Dabei erweist sich, daß Sudermann die weltliche Romanliteratur des Mittelalters entgegen der bisherigen Einschätzung durchaus gewürdigt hat. Allerdings las er sie nicht mit der Faszination an der Fiktion, die ihren mittelalterlichen Lesern zuzutrauen ist, sondern rezipierte sie im Sinne historischer Quellen, wobei zwei Interessenschwerpunkte zu identifizieren sind: Sudermann beschäftigte sich mit der fabulösen Frühgeschichte des Christentums in Indien, an die eine große Mehrzahl der aus seinem Besitz bekannten weltlichen Texte direkt oder indirekt anschließt. Daneben galt seine Aufmerksamkeit adelsgenealogischen Informationen, die er der mittelalterlichen Romanliteratur entnehmen zu können glaubte. Den Aufsatz begleitet ein Faksimileabdruck von Sudermanns Autograph des kommentierten Bücherverzeichnisses.

Compétences en santé déficientes: obstacle à une prise en charge optimale [Low health literacy: barrier to optimal care].

Health literacy is defined as "the degree to which individuals have the capacity to obtain, process, and understand basic health information and services needed to make appropriate health decisions." Low health literacy mainly affects certain populations at risk limiting access to care, interaction with caregivers and self-management. If there are screening tests, their routine use is not advisable and recommended interventions in practice consist rather to reduce barriers to patient-caregiver communication. It is thus important to include not only population's health literacy but also communication skills of a health system wich tend to become more complex.
