The Urban Solid Residues are the rests of human activity, popularly known by trash and considered by population like useless, undesirable and disposable. On the other hand, for the waste pickers, solid residues are the beginning of a cycle: they see in the other's people trash the only income, an economic value. Currently, in brazilian cities, one million collectors act, alone or in cooperatives, socially excluded by the work they do. The National Policy of Solid Residues (PNRS), instituted in 2010, established guidelines to the execution of integrated residues management, with should be practiced by city halls and other governmental institutions. This policy has, besides other things, goals of residues reduction and inclusion of waste pickers in the mechanism of selective collect and recycling. However, this and other public policies created for residue management are benefic only for cooperated waste pickers. That could negatively affect most of this class, since 90% are waste pickers working in a precarious way on the country's streets. This study has for objective show that most of waste pickers that work in a precarious way on the brazilian territory has a huge potential for the solid residues recycling chain and how they should be valued for the environmental services they provide, so they can be included with dignity on the society, ensuring economic and social benefits for this workers. The methodology adopted was based on the amount of residue collected by the 44 cooperated members of the Rio Claro‟s waste pickers cooperative to estimate the potential of collect and recycling did by 210 autonomous waste pickers who are active on city streets. It was observed that the cooperative collects the equivalent of 10.2% of all recyclable residues generated by city population. However, with the potential that these autonomous waste pickers have, which together could contribute 465 tonnes of solid residues per month, or 5,570 tons a year...

As condições e processos de trabalho penosos dos pronto-socorros somados a elevada demanda frente à capacidade e gravidade dos casos, dificultam as decisões, impactam no atendimento e favorecem conflitos. Trata-se de um estudo de caso, exploratório e qualitativo, utilizou-se dados documentais, entrevistas semiestruturadas e observação do trabalho, especificamente dos porteiros. Objetivou-se verificar como características da organização do trabalho aumentam conflitos e agressões em um pronto-socorro comprometendo os atendimentos. Constatou-se que os porteiros estão na linha de frente e são expostos à pressão dos usuários por atendimento. Para solucionar conflitos, extrapolam regras e procedimentos, realizam tarefas além da sua competência, podendo alterar o fluxo e a qualidade do atendimento. Os arranjos organizacionais desconsideram os porteiros como parte da equipe de cuidados expondo-os a conflitos e agressões. Espera-se contribuir para mudanças, melhorar as relações, a segurança e o fluxo de atendimento.

En relación con la extensión del campo empírico en el que trabajan los investigadores y que a la vez, se corresponde con la residencia en distintos lugares de la frontera, hemos decidido ubicar en forma integrada los ítems 7, 8 y 9 perteneciente a los investigadores, de acuerdo con los avances que fueron realizando. Entendimos que esta modalidad proporcionaba un mejor ordenamiento, en particular para este proyecto. En este sentido dichos ítems se colocan a continuación del punto 9, a diferencia de la directora y co directora que describen los puntos 1 a 5 de la producción del proyecto. A continuación se detallan las actividades realizadas por la directora y co directora en el área Nordeste de la provincia, el trabajo de campo fue realizado en las ciudades de San Antonio y Bernardo de Irigoyen. The City Educator Program is articulated with PROEX-Pro - Deanship Culture and Student Affairs through the Directorate of Extension, along with the Institute of Geography, Faculty of Architecture, Urban Planning and Design Institute and the City Futura Pro. Program is conducted since 2008 by the Federal University of Uberlândia and Motion City Futura. The outreach program aims to promote democratic governance and smart planning municipal and regional level, enabling public and social (government technicians, law enforcement officers, and civil society leaders) seeking implementation of legal instruments, urban and tributaries in the counties of Araguari and Uberlândia, established in the City Statute and Master Plans, and the Fiscal Responsibility, Social Rights established by the Constitution, and all the instruments of social control in the municipalities involved. The methodology includes content developed through dynamic, research participant, group work and exposure dialogue. The results were relevant to holding the Course on Urban Management and Sustainable Democratic, Uberlândia A Forum for Sustainable Leadership Training Course Ethical and Sustainable, Community Workshops Seminars in Neighborhoods assessment; Map Workshop Speaker, Research Participants, Seminars and Interactive Campaigns Mobilization office in the territory. Were produced articles, reports and reflections that are public in book form. At the end of the implementation of program activities, the municipal governments, entities and non-governmental organizations as well as citizens who, directly or indirectly, involved with the program, attended the final seminar where, besides the presentation of results, was made, collectively, evaluation and assessment of all activities

La provincia de Pernambuco es un importante escenario de la educación del Nordeste de Brasil. En lo que se refiere a la enseñanza de la Lengua Española, en la Enseñanza Fundamental y Media, se destaca la ciudad de Cabo de Santo Agostinho por ser pionera en la implementación del español en la Red Municipal. La discusión sobre la influencia hispánica en la ciudad empezó cuando algunos expertos, a través de estudios académicos, concluyeron que el navegador español Vicente Yáñez Pinzón arribó a tierras cabenses tresmeses antes que el portugués Pedro Álvares Cabral. Debido a eso, y a la importancia de Brasil en MERCOSUR, el Ayuntamiento de Cabo, a través de un proyecto de Ley, implementó el español como segunda lengua extranjera. Por esta razón, los docentes tuvieron formación continua ofrecida por La Facultad de Formación de Profesores de Olinda. Actualmente, la Coordinación de Lenguas de Cabo de Santo Agostinho realizó el I Encuentro Hispanoamérica de Cabo, el I Congreso Pernambucano de Profesores de Español y el I Simposio de Formación de Profesores de Español en Conmemoración a los veinte años de la Asociación de Profesores de Español de Pernambuco.

This article is dedicated to the study the ways of appropriation of land in the south border of Brazil, in the first half of the century XIX. The historiography has, for tradition, associated the appropriation of large tracts of land, in Rio Grande do Sul, with royal donations. That would have been made, mainly, in the form of 'sesmarias' donations. However, a more detained study shows than the public concessions were just one among other forms of appropriation of the land used by families that accomplished a voracious accumulation of lands. Among other sources, inventories post mortem, registrations of concessions of lands and official correspondences are used. The main analysis focus relapses on the municipal district of Alegrete, between 1800 and 1870
