Square stepping exercise: uma revisão

Many studies inform that with aging process there’s a drop, not only in the cognitive functions, but also in the functional fitness. This drop can damage the old people’s daily activities, making them lose their independence. These declines can be softened with the practice of physical exercises. So, the aim of this study is to develop a systematic review in the literature which is the quantity of lectures done using the Square Stepping Exercise, we use a follow keyword “Square Stepping Exercise”. We performed a search in the following databases: PUBMED, Portal de Periódicos CAPES, Google Acadêmico e Catálogo Athena (acervo da Biblioteca de todos os campus da UNESP). Those procedures were complemented for manual searches in the references of the found lectures, like the access to the curriculum vitae, plataforma Lattes. There were analyzed articles, in Portuguese and English. Language were selected 11 studies (2 monografies, 1 masters lecture, 1 experience relatorie, 1 book chapter and 6 articles). The references found had improvement in motor and cognitive aspects. With this review, it was concluded that the SSE showed itself as a useful method to get better and/or maintain the analyzed aspects. It’s also necessary new studies with different populations, tips of analyse, periods of time and other aspects

Estados emocionais de praticantes de exercícios com peso

Este estudo, de natureza quantitativa, investigou alguns fatores psicológicos que podem existir na prática regular de atividade física para praticantes de musculação em academias, como: motivação, vergonha e ansiedade. Foi investigado também quando a prática do exercício físico se torna doença chamada de Síndrome de Adonis ou vigorexia. Este trabalho foi desenvolvido por revisão de literatura e um questionário contendo perguntas fechadas. O estudo foi realizado por 24 indivíduos, sendo 12 do sexo masculino e 12 do sexo feminino, com idades variando de 16 a 40 anos, freqüentadores de uma academia na cidade de Rio Claro, no estado de São Paulo. Esse trabalho foi realizado em duas etapas. A primeira etapa constatou uma revisão de literatura sobre academia, musculação, aderência, estados emocionais e vigorexia. Na segunda etapa foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa exploratória através da aplicação de um questionário anônimo com 10 questões fechadas, entregue aleatoriamente aos 24 indivíduos de ambos os sexos. O estudo de caráter quantitativo teve como objetivo identificar a ocorrência dos estados já mencionados na academia, fazer a comparação entre os dois sexos e sugerir ao professor alguma forma de atuação para o desenvolvimento emocional do aluno. Os dados observados mostraram que os professores de academia devem desenvolver um trabalho visando às emoções e sensações vivenciadas pelos alunos de musculação. Este trabalho será importante para melhorar a motivação e a performance, aprimorando a socialização, bem estar, e saúde gerando satisfação pessoal e aumento da qualidade de vida.

Taking into account the treatment offered to adverbial subordination in teaching and learning Portuguese, this article presents contributions from Functional Discourse Grammar concerning clausal (in)dependency and the acceptance of Discourse Subordination in the systematization of adverbial relation in teaching contexts.

A crise na sociedade do trabalho e sua importância na contextualização dos conteúdos curriculares do ensino médio

This article has as objective to discuss some topics concerning the supposed crisis of the society of the work and its consequences for the debate in social sciences and also for the work category contextualization in the secondary school curriculum. As the work has represented an important explanation category for the classic social thought, the contemporary paradigm of deep metamorphoses in the world of the work and the advent of the new question (CASTELS, 1995; ROSANVALLON, 1995) backward the necessity to rethink the theoretical shades that base the interpretation of the social life on the current context, when the center position of the work is being questioned. Having taken some theoretical references from the sociology of the work, we search to delineate on a brief way the quarrel about the dimensions of the social and political phenomena these days and the importance of this debate on the contextualization of the secondary school curriculum contents.

Modelagem das trajetórias médias do peso vivo e do rendimento de carcaça de tilápias do Nilo (Oreochromis niloticus) por meio de funções B-spline

Employing the method of least squares and quadratic B-spline polynomials, different statistical models were tested to identify the most appropriate to model the mean trajectories of live weight and carcass yield of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Data of live weight (8,758) and carcass yield (2,042) of tilapias with ages between 106 and 245 days were obtained from 72 families derived from 36 males and 72 females. The sex and tank variables were considered as classificatory and the coefficients of quadratic polynomials B-spline of two to five intervals of the same size were used as covariables. According to most fit criteria used, the models with quadratic B-spline polynomial with five intervals of the same size presented the best adjustments. The increase in number of intervals of B-spline polynomial improved the fit of the polynomials to the data. The inclusion of classificatory effects from sex, tank, the interaction of these effects and the quadratic polynomial B-spline nested in this interaction indicated that, over time, each sex, grown in different tank, presented different mean trajectory, necessitating the inclusion of nesting time in the interaction sex x tank in order to avoid the under or overestimation of breeding values of the selection candidates in breeding programs of this species.
