As lógicas espaciais do sistema bancário: reestruturação das cidades de Marília, Ribeirão Preto e São Carlos

Esa tesis presenta un breve histórico sobre el sistema bancario brasileño, buscando entender las lógicas espaciales en tres ciudades paulistas - Marília, Ribeirão Preto y São Carlos - asociando el abordaje, sobretodo, al contexto de las ciudades intermedias, que es el caso de las las ciudades estudiadas en esta investigación. Realizamos este análisis a través del trabajo con algunas hipótesis sobre lógicas espaciales, refuerzo de la centralidad urbana y nuevas tendencias, con el fin de comprender posibles prácticas espaciales resultantes de reestruturacción urbana y de la ciudad, tomando en consideración que la fuerte presencia de distintas agencias, junto a los espacios comerciales de las ciudades, confirma la importancia comercial que estas ciudades tienen, revelando relaciones entre su ubicación y las posibilidades de atraer usuarios. Por lo tanto, el estudio de las lógicas espaciales ejecutadas por los grandes grupos que operan el sistema bancario ha tenido papel importante en la articulación entre reestruturación urbana y de las ciudades

Procedimentos de pesquisa em geografia do comércio: uma proposição para o estudo das áreas centrais em cidades médias a partir da análise dos índices de densidade informacional da cidade de São Carlos (SP)

In this work, we address the informational Density Index (IDI) a methodological Option How To be used on the Research Procedures Analysis of Commerce Geography. The IDI and an indicator of Technological Complexity level of economic activities and a review and made a database from CNEFE / NCEA, where the first signifies the National Register of Establishments for statistical purposes and the second means a National Classification Economic Activities. Elaborated with emphasis on discussion of between center and centrality relations, wish to present a constitution of a data base on level sampling with an analysis elaboration do IDI from the criteria: home-page and e - commerce. This methodology helps us understand how polycentric structures, locational enterprise well as a reflection on the middle cities using a through the analysis on city of São Carlos/SP. Where we see the establishments with greater and lesser content as well as its geographical distribution, noting of according to the criteria listed number of establishments with IDI 0 very relevant. Our analysis as well as such divisions that meet greater index, so, IDI 2 like to financial activities. Book Review of Entomology at the Land Grant University: Perspectives from the Texas A&M University Department Centenary Edited by Kevin M. Heinz, Raymond Frisbie, and Carlos Bogran

This book offers the texts of twenty-four presentations given in a series of mini symposia organized to commemorate the centennial of Texas A&M's Department of Entomology. Although not stated explicitly by the editors, the central theme for these symposia seems to be the contributions of the discipline of entomology to modern society. The presentations cover a wide range of topics dealing with the importance of insects in both natural ecosystems and agricultural systems; insects as models for scientific research; challenges associated with effective management of those species that are pests in systems designed for food and fiber production; and the role of entomology departments within academic institutions, particularly land-grant universities. The list of contributors to these symposia is impressive, as are the universities and other institutions they represent across the United States as well as in Europe and Africa.

Altered Oxygen Metabolism Associated to Neurogenesis of Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells Derived From a Schizophrenic Patient

Schizophrenia has been defined as a neurodevelopmental disease that causes changes in the process of thoughts, perceptions. and emotions, usually leading to a mental deterioration and affective blunting. Studies have shown altered cell respiration and oxidative stress response in schizophrenia; however, most of the knowledge has been acquired from postmortem brain analyses or from nonneural cells. Here we describe that neural cells, derived from induced pluripotent stem cells generated from skin fibroblasts of a schizophrenic patient, presented a twofold increase in extramitochondrial oxygen consumption as well as elevated levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS), when compared to controls. This difference in ROS levels was reverted by the mood stabilizer valproic acid. Our model shows evidence that metabolic changes occurring during neurogenesis are associated with schizophrenia, contributing to a better understanding of the development of the disease and highlighting potential targets for treatment and drug screening.

Nosso artigo pretende compreender as raízes dessa contradição, compreendendo tanto a positividade e o valor de sua obra - buscando relativizar uma série de estigmas e preconceitos que rondam sua figura, demonstrando, por assim dizer, a legitimidade de sua coroa - quanto o lugar a partir de onde falam seus antagonistas, de modo a perceber o conjunto de interesses e posições envolvidas nesses juízos críticos.
