Pràctica 3. Psicologia Evolutiva per a tots. Creació d’un blog

L’alumne universitari d’avui té adquirides competències tecnològiques que suposen un domini de les tecnologia de la informació i la comunicació (TIC) molt avançat i un ús de les xarxes socials molt continuat. Això suposa que aquests alumnes aprenen bona part dels continguts de les assignatures no solament a través de l’ús de manuals de text recomanats pel docent, sinó que molts conceptes són adquirits i treballats a partir de la recerca, l’anàlisi i la reflexió de documents que es troben en Internet. Per tant, tenint en compte aquests aspectes, aprofitarem aquesta competència per a afavorir l’aprenentatge i la motivació dels alumnes per l’assignatura mitjançant la creació d’un blog específic de l’assignatura.

Il seguente elaborato si pone come obiettivo quello di fornire una proposta di traduzione in italiano con relativo commento di alcuni estratti del libro "Viajante Chic", selezionati personalmente, dell'autrice brasiliana Gloria Kalil. Inoltre, è presente un'analisi del blog che viene curato dalla stilista stessa.

O BLOG CORPORATIVO COMO DESAFIO PARA OS PROFISSIONAIS DE COMUNICAÇÃO

As características desejadas a um blog corporativo eficiente do ponto de vista da comunicação são o tema desta dissertação. Buscou-se compreendê-las, assim como listá-las, verificar a aplicabilidade de tais características e relacionar ganhos à imagem pública de uma empresa através da ferramenta. A metodologia empregada foi o estudo múltiplo de casos, com análise de cinco blogs que contêm a maior parte das competências sugeridas em protocolo de avaliação construído a partir de leituras, entrevistas e visitas a blogs. Cada blog estudado possui pontos fortes distintos, mas também melhorias que precisam ser consideradas. Comportamentos de abertura e transparência totais ao diálogo ainda são mais discursos que práticas nas organizações brasileiras, que precisam aproveitar melhor as oportunidades de relacionamento que as mídias sociais trouxeram.

The Material Dynamics of a London-French Blog: A Multimodal Reading of Migrant Habitus

Through a fine-grained reading of a London-French blog, this article aims to shed light on the lived experience of the French community in London. The ethnosemiotic conceptual framework brings together ethnographic and semiotic schools of thought, focusing in particular on Pierre Bourdieu’s concept of habitus and Gunther Kress’s multimodal social semiotic analytical model. Habitus is broken down into its material manifestations of habitat, habit and habituation, all displayed in the blog and revealing of the blogger’s identity and positioning within the migration setting. As all modes are considered to be of equal semiotic potential, equivalent emphasis is placed on the multiple modes of meaning-making present in the blog, such as layout, colour, typography and language. By examining the dynamic relationships between blogger and audience, subjectivity and objectivity, on-line and on-land habitus, and intermodal dynamics themselves, through the prism of multimodality, hidden facets of the blogger’s cultural identity and sense of community belonging within the diasporic context begin to materialise.

Predicting Academic Performance Based on Students' Blog and Microblog Posts

This study investigates the degree to which textual complexity indices applied on students’ online contributions, corroborated with a longitudinal analysis performed on their weekly posts, predict academic performance. The source of student writing consists of blog and microblog posts, created in the context of a project-based learning scenario run on our eMUSE platform. Data is collected from six student cohorts, from six consecutive installments of the Web Applications Design course, comprising of 343 students. A significant model was obtained by relying on the textual complexity and longitudinal analysis indices, applied on the English contributions of 148 students that were actively involved in the undertaken projects.

Predicting Student Performance and Differences in Learning Styles based on Textual Complexity Indices applied on Blog and Microblog Posts

Social media tools are increasingly popular in Computer Supported Collaborative Learning and the analysis of students' contributions on these tools is an emerging research direction. Previous studies have mainly focused on examining quantitative behavior indicators on social media tools. In contrast, the approach proposed in this paper relies on the actual content analysis of each student's contributions in a learning environment. More specifically, in this study, textual complexity analysis is applied to investigate how student's writing style on social media tools can be used to predict their academic performance and their learning style. Multiple textual complexity indices are used for analyzing the blog and microblog posts of 27 students engaged in a project-based learning activity. The preliminary results of this pilot study are encouraging, with several indexes predictive of student grades and/or learning styles.
