Diversidade religiosa e formação de professores de ciências: uma discussão em Habermas e um caso no ensino de Física

This article brings a discussion of the implications of religious diversity on science education as well as on teacher education. To orientate our discussion, we adopt as framework the ideas of German philosopher Jürgen Habermas on the political relationship that should govern relations between a naturalistic culture and different religious cultures. We also present a research with future teachers of physics, which aimed at investigating the positions taken by the future teachers towards non scientific models presented by students about the origins of the universe. We tried to identify, especially, the expectation of these future teachers would demonstrated about the contributing of the lifting of such models in class by students. We were able to find that most of them believe that the manifestation of these ideas could bring contributions to the discussion in the classroom. We also found that teaching practices based on communication, questioning and dialogue of the undergraduate course done by the prospective teachers has generated an ownership by the undergraduates of these practices and their potential application in other situations and other discussions, including inter-religious.

As diretrizes curriculares para os cursos de Educação Física no Brasil: uma breve revisão cronológica e análise desse processo sobre as implicações para a formação profissional

The law of Guidelines and Bases for National Education-LDB established the need to ensure at Universities a greater flexibility in the Organization of courses and careers, taking into account the heterogeneity of prior education and training, as well as the expectations and interests of students. Since the deployment of the first courses of Physical Education in Brazil, in the 30 's decade, the formation was only in Degree Course. On a pioneer way, resolution CFE 031987 allowed the Universities could organise their own pedagogical projects and curriculum, allowing even the Bachelor Course contemplating the dynamics of the evolution of the area and encouraging a change in attitudes of professionals. The Bachelor Course, with an offer of disciplines to other areas higher than education, openness also allowed to research, promoting an increasing interaction of the Physical Education with other professions od health. Physical education stands out as interareas instrument in the promotion of health and quality of life of the population. With the regulation of the Profession through the law No. 9696/98, grows the discussion around the definition of professional delimitations in this close relationship with other areas. With the need for a reformulation in teaching projects, Degree and Bachelor Courses, express the new curricular guidelines and resolutions of the MEC, as well as the professional delimitations by CONFEF for each formation. Given these aspects, the objective of the present study was to describe the chronology of such facts and a expose a critical opinion of the authors about the course and consequences of this process.

Formación de profesores en Educación Física en Brasil: comprensión de estudiantes noveles de la Universidad Federal de San Carlos

The frequent characterization about the Physical Education Degree is associated to technical-sport and training aspects and this is the reason of this study. The objective is to understand the motives to the basis of this situation. In this sense, a theoretical study was developed regarding the Physical Education Teaching Training in Brazil; at the same time, an empirical investigation was carried out with first-year students of the cited degree. The register tool to collect the students' understandings was an open question expressed as: "Why did you choose the course of Physical Education Degree?" which was answered in written form by the students. So as to make up an understanding of the data collected, the information was organized in two thematic categories; Category A: no identification with schooling; Category B: reasons in relation to the (lack) of professional vocation. Based on the students' answers, it was possible to comprehend that choosing the mentioned degree it is mostly set up by a lack of option, instead of a real professional identity and thoughtful processes of transformation in society.

This monograph has the inspiring theme using Comic Books in physics education. The Comic Books are objects, which are part of our current daily life, in newspaper, magazines, comics and electronic media, and providing entertainment to the readers. Beyond this property, the ludic nature and linguistics become an interesting material when applied on Education. Our goal was to research an analyze a Comic Book that could be used in a Physics class. The chosen material was Astronauta Magnetar from Danilo Beyruth. With this Comic Book, we perform a short course with students from three High School grade, where the themes of labor were Astrophysics and Electromagnetism. From the results of this short course, we prepared a lot of comments and discussions about the role of Comic Books in a classroom, as an significant instrument for Physics Education

Física e o som: possibilidades didáticas e experimentais para o ensio de acústica

We studied in this work some aspects of the physics of sound and music as a tool for physics teaching. The theory of sound since it is generated by some stimulus to its uptake by the human body, in areas such as: frequency, intensity, tone and propagation. The literature of the subject research was combined with the study of free software that captures waves on a computer, using a microphone, and allows to analyze the waves and frequencies involved in the sound, being able to distinguish tones, frequencies and intensities. We have analyzed some instruments (guitar, harmonica and pitch), including voice, from the quantitative and qualitative point of view. Finally we analyze textbooks in their acoustic topics and try to understand how important these materials give to this topic in basic education. We suggest a teaching sequence that could be applied in a high school classroom

Cine física: estudo de vídeos e filmes e possibilidades para o ensino de física na educação básica

In this work we present a didactic proposal of the use of movies and videos for the Physics teaching directed to the Basic Education and we bring a discussion about how the materials addresses this topic. For this, we selected three cinematographic works, one chapter of the TV show and videos found in the web and we analyse the physics concepts found particularly about the issue electromagnetism. We developed the activity denominated Cine - Física in a public school from Rio Claro - SP, through presentations of these movies, shows and videos. Those works were exhibited in full and then we discussed the concepts involved in these movies. With the perform of this didactic proposal we verified that is possible insert the use of movies and videos in the classroom activities, and go beyond the entertainment or using those materials as supplements of classes. Dialoguing with students was possible to realize that they visualize the effects and physical concepts in a different way than other that used to be shown in the blackboard through formulas, providing positive effects to the learning of Physics

Cuerpo, Saber y Educación Física : Una lectura de los discursos en torno a la educación física desde la prueba de ingreso

Esta trabajo se enmarca dentro de la línea de investigación 'Cuerpo- Educación y Enseñanza' del Grupo de Políticas Educativas y Políticas de Investigación en Educación Física, ISEF- UdelaR. Aprobado y financiado por el Programa de Apoyo a la Investigación Estudiantil de la CSIC- UdelaR. Desde su conformación el ISEF ha tenido restricciones a la hora de permitir el ingreso como estudiante, estás mismas han ido mutando en el devenir de la historia. En este marco la investigación se plantea la siguiente pregunta: ¿En qué medida los cambios que han sufrido las propuestas de examen de ingreso desde su implementación, han sido influenciados por los discursos relativos a la concepción de la Educación Física del momento? Nos proponemos indagar sobre las posibles relaciones y conexiones entre los cambios que ha tenido la prueba de ingreso, en la licenciatura en Educación Física del ISEF, y los discursos relativos a la concepción de Educación Física, buscando establecer relaciones entre los discursos que se configuraron hegemónicos dentro del campo y los dispositivos constitutivos de la prueba de ingreso. Nuestro marco conceptual estará centrado, básicamente, sobre dos supuestos; la consideración de que 'El cuerpo es una construcción simbólica, no una realidad en sí mismo' (Le Breton, 1995) y el segundo supuesto que trabajaremos para el abordaje del problema es el aportado por Foucault en relación a la construcción del cuerpo moderno 'Como objeto y blanco de poder' (Foucault, 1975)

O Programa Esporte e Lazer da Cidade e o seu Processo Formativo para Egressos do Curso de Educação Física da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria

O Programa Esporte e Lazer da Cidade - Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (PELC/UFSM) tem por objetivo através de atividades de esporte e lazer, proporcionarem espaços para a prática de diferentes modalidades para a comunidade em geral. E para alunos egressos do curso de Educaçao Física que integram este Programa, observamos uma oportunidade de experiência e construçao de conhecimentos teóricos e práticos frente às dificuldades encontradas no decorrer do mesmo. O presente trabalho buscou identificar e compreender de que maneira a atuaçao no referido Programa repercute sobre percurso formativo dos egressos do Curso de Educaçao Física Licenciatura do Centro de Educaçao Física e Desportos (CEFD/UFSM). O estudo caracterizou- se como uma pesquisa qualitativa e de caráter exploratório e descritivo com análise documental. O instrumento aplicado aos participantes da pesquisa foi um questionário contendo nove questoes. Através dos dados obtidos realizamos uma discussao entre o percurso formativo dos egressos e suas experiências formativas, formaçao inicial do Curso de Licenciatura e as atividades extensionistas, sendo possível assim, constatar a relevância do Programa para construçao e consolidaçao de uma identidade profissional e pessoal, do ?ser Professor?, frente às experiências e conhecimentos adquiridos ao longo do percurso formativo
