Thinking about research with children, giving time and voice to them is a discussion that is still fresh. Thus, in order to establish some reflections on the theoretical and methodological issues in research with children, we hope with this article to give visibility to the theoretical assumptions of authors who are concerned to place the child and childhood in the center of the research process. Thus, contributing to this discussion, this text is divided into three stages: initially bring some contributions of sociology of childhood and the various fields of knowledge to think about research with children. Secondly, we propose to discuss some methods and procedures that may favor the development of research with children. When we trace the historical development related to research with children and recover the concept of childhood and child while being active and producer of culture, we headed for the third time this work presents some results and conclusions, which can direct our gaze on pursuit of research instruments that capture what children think, feel and build in the world that they live and live together.

Subsequently, it presents results of the routes methodological that integrated observation sessions of educational practice in schools in early childhood education, involving the relationship between children, adults and objects, as well as sessions of designs and semi-structured interviews with the children. These results show the resulting analysis of the pedagogical implications of the propositions of the HistoricalCultural Approach about the humanization process, mediation and activity.

Also, I was guided by microgenetic analysis in order to focus our gaze to the particular aspect of the situation with attention to the “clues” to extract meaningful data. Authors such as Mikhail Bakhtin (1995, 2003) and scholars in the fi eld of reading, Josette Jolibert (1994), Elie Bajard (2007), among others, were considered core to grasp the meaning assigned by the subjects to teaching the act of reading. The aim of this study was to evaluate the local anesthetic solution, composed by Prilocaine 3% and felipressin 0,03 UI/ml, influence on the alveolar repair process in rats after dental extraction. This research was previously approved by the Ethic Committee in Research of the Masters Degree Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Marília University (UNIMAR), Marília, São Paulo, Brazil. It was an experimental, randomly controlled study, with bifactorial analysis (group control versus experimental group, in function of the postoperative times (2 X 4)). For the accomplishment of this study 32 rats were used (Rattus norvegicus, albinus, Wistar), males, adults, weighing between 280 and 320 grams. The animals were selected and divided into Group I (control) and Group II (Citocain 3%® - Prilocaine 3% with felipressin 0,03UI/ml) with 16 rats each; being four animals of the Group I and four of the Group II, destined to the euthanasia in the postoperative periods of 3rd, 7th, 15th and 24th days. The histological analysis with base in the developed methodology, allowed us to conclude that the anesthetic solution of Citocain 3%® applied with gauze compress on the surgical dental wound, produced tissue events that committed the basic biological principles, that are responsible for the regeneration of the gingival epithelium and the alveolar process repair in rats. The Group I presented better results in the alveolar repair when compared to the Group II.

Postural control is needed to perform various daily activities, from staying in one posture, standing, to sports situations. Many studies have shown that sensory systems help to maintain posture stable; acquisition of perceptual information, particularly through head and eye movements, allows static and dynamic equilibrium. Research related to both motor behavior and physical activities such as gymnastics have contributed to a better understanding of complexities involved in human postural control. The purpose of this study was to review the related literature, searching for possible answers on how everyday and sports actions are performed, with respect to the control and maintenance of posture. Its focus was on how the human body acquires information from the sensory systems, vision in special, and how this information acts to support the control of posture and gaze
