This folder contains a broadside with an 1807 printed proposal for a Mercator celestial map that is appended with a handwritten list of subscribers, dated December 1810, as well as two copies of printed recommendations for the map.

This folder contains nine slips of paper with various notes about books and reading materials. For some documents it is unclear if the notes were created in Croswell's work on the Harvard College Library catalog or in his personal research.

This paper notebook contains a handwritten, alphabetical listing of graduates of the Harvard Classes of 1642 to 1809 presumably compiled from the published Triennial Catalogues.

Letter from Levi Hedge to President John Kirkland, [ca. 1823]

Levi Hedge, Professor of Logic and Metaphysics, wrote Harvard president John Kirkland requesting renovations to the house which he occupied. Hedge's house was situated on North Street (now Massachusetts Avenue). He notes that the kitchen has a leaky sink, loose and unusable shelves, and is insufficiently insulated.

Four letters in the hand of Edward Everett, the Eliot Professor of Greek Literature from 1815 until 1826, containing suggested subjects and questions for President Kirkland. Three of the documents are undated and one is dated November 5, 1823.
