There are considerations of that the education of Physics of the way as comes being driven us textbooks and consequently in classroom, is distant and distorted of their real purpose. We notice that the education of this science through the Physical school discipline, has I assume a character of preparation for university entrance exams exercises resolution, exceling for the memorization of formulae and by the mathematical solutions, fact that looks to cause to it is lacking of motivation and to the disinterest of the students regarding his contents. Since we are surrounded by phenomena, events, elements of the nature, new technologies, objects and so many others that can be explained and many times until applied and/or reproduced by means of physical concepts, there is no reason for treat to Physical as somewhat academic and remote of the reality. The little interest of high school students by the discipline of Physics and their poor performance in the learning of his contents has led to the search of new paths, resources and strategies that promote a more meaningful learning. Taking into account these facts, we seek in this course conclusion work, observe, analyze and apply concepts of the Physical one in multiple elements of ours routine, doing use of the interdisciplinary nature as a possible mechanism. The animals exert a fascination on most people. Much of what we see in their way of being and behaving can be explained by the laws of Physics and its models. Their physique, behavior and activities involve diverse movements, communication and sensing as physical limitations varied. Zoologists and physicists build models in an attempt to explain or understand animal behavior using well-established physical principles. The creation of physical models is going to approach a problem, identifies the fundamental information and removing all of the irrelevant details. An example... In horses less than one year of age fractures of the third metacarpal bone (McIII) or metatarsal bone III (MtIII) are mainly attributed to trauma. Open reduction and internal fixation are the most common treatment method. A Quarter Horse filly with three months of age, which weighed 150kg presented a diaphyseal multifragmentar wedge fracture of right MtIII which was treated with transcortical pins and cast, associated with intralesional application of platelet rich plasma (PRP). After two years of surgery, the animal initiated a training program for racing, and six months later, the patient ran its first official match. The choice of therapeutic methods for treating fractures in horses should be one that provides an earlier repair and minor possibility of complications. Thus, the therapy association which was adopted was considered favorable, since allowed full reestablishment of locomotion of the patient and made possible its return to race.

El trabajo demuestra que las concentraciones de óxido de azufre y monóxido de carbono han disminuido como consecuencia de los incrementos de la calidad de los combustibles y de las normas de emisión de los vehículos desarrollados durante el periodo de estudio. Sin embargo, las concentraciones de los óxidos de nitrógeno, partículas materiales y ozono se han mantenido constantes pese a la mejora de las emisiones por vehículo, como consecuencia del aumento de la movilidad. Además, las concentraciones de los óxidos de nitrógeno y partículas materiales se encuentran por encima de los estándares de emisión permitidos.

In several areas of health professionals (pediatricians, nutritionists, orthopedists, endocrinologists, dentists, etc.) are used in the assessment of bone age to diagnose growth disorders in children. Through interviews with specialists in diagnostic imaging and research done in the literature, we identified the TW method - Tanner and Whitehouse as the most efficient. Even achieving better results than other methods, it is still not the most used, due to the complexity of their use. This work presents the possibility of automation of this method and therefore that its use more widespread. Also in this work, they are met two important steps in the evaluation of bone age, identification and classification of regions of interest. Even in the radiography in which the positioning of the hands were not suitable for TW method, the identification algorithm of the fingers showed good results. As the use AAM - Active Appearance Models showed good results in the identification of regions of interest even in radiographs with high contrast and brightness variation. It has been shown through appearance, good results in the classification of the epiphysis in their stages of development, being chosen the average epiphysis finger III (middle) to show the performance. The final results show an average percentage of 90% hit and misclassified, it was found that the error went away just one stage of the correct stage.

The refractory metal carbides have proven important in the development of engineering materials due to their properties such as high hardness, high melting point, high thermal conductivity and high chemical stability. The niobium carbide presents these characteristics. The compounds of niobium impregnated with copper also have excellent dielectric and magnetic properties, and furthermore, the Cu doping increases the catalytic activity in the oxidation processes of hydrogen. This study aimed to the synthesis of nanostructured materials CuNbC and niobium and copper oxide from precursor tris(oxalate) oxiniobate ammonium hydrate through gas-solid and solid-solid reaction, respectively. Both reactions were carried out at low temperature (1000°C) and short reaction time (2 hours). The niobium carbide was produced with 5 % and 11% of copper, and the niobium oxide with 5% of copper. The materials were characterized by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Rietveld refinement, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy (XRF), infrared spectroscopy (IR), thermogravimetric (TG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA , BET and particle size Laser. From the XRD analysis and Rietveld refinement of CuNbC with S = 1.23, we observed the formation of niobium carbide and metallic copper with cubic structure. For the synthesis of mixed oxide made of niobium and copper, the formation of two distinct phases was observed: CuNb2O6 and Nb2O5, although the latter was present in small amounts

A Educação Física e o Desporto assumem hoje uma importância crescente no contexto nacional, reflexo de um acentuado aumento da investigação científica, que coloca como imprescindíveis os benefícios da actividade física, tanto ao nível do sistema escolar, como desportivo ou social. O objectivo deste relatório é descrever a evolução do estágio efectuado no âmbito da disciplina de Prática de Ensino Supervisionada. Este estágio teve início no mês de Outubro de 2009, tendo terminado no final deste mesmo ano lectivo. De forma a proporcionar o contacto com diversos Ciclos de ensino, este estágio decorreu em dois estabelecimentos de ensino, nomeadamente, a Escola Básica Integrada com Jardim de Infância da Malagueira (EBIJIM) e na Escola Secundária André de Gouveia (ESAG), ambas na cidade de Évora. Sendo assim, leccionei a duas turmas do 1.° Ciclo, uma do 2.° Ciclo, uma do 3.° Ciclo e ainda a uma do secundário. O estágio correu de uma forma bastante positiva, tendo sido alcançados todos os objectivos inicialmente propostos. É de salientar, a mais-valia que este estágio pedagógico representa na minha formação profissional. ABSTRACT: Physical Education and Sport today assume a growing importance in the national context, reflecting an accentuated increase in scientific research, which puts as the essential benefits of physical activity, such in the school system, such as sporting or social. The purpose of this report is to describe the entire evolution of the teaching in the discipline of Prática de Ensino Supervisionada. This stage began in October 2009, ending at the end of that academic year. ln order to provide contact with different education levels, this stage took place in two schools, namely the Escola Básica Integrada com Jardim de Infância da Malagueira (EBIJIM) e na Escola Secundária André de Gouveia (ESAG), both in the city of Évora. So, I taught two classes in 1st cycle, one of the 2nd cycle, one of the 3rd cycle, and one of secondary education. The stage occurred in the very positive way, having achieved all the objectives initially proposed. lt should be noted, the added value that represents teaching practice in my professional formation.
