How do I get the Chapter number in Table or Figure captions to restart in Appendices using the University thesis template in Word 2011?

If you have added the Chapter number to your Table or Figure captions they will show as 1.1, 1.2 and so on. This is linked to the numbering used in the Heading 1 style. However, once you get to the Appendices the last Chapter number will continue throughout the Appendices as the Appendix heading isn't Heading 1.

Se determinan las características de la exclusión social en Mallorca a partir de un estudio desarrollado en el centro mallorquín Ca l'Ardiaca. Se pretende identificar factores socioeducativos que incidan en las causas de exclusión y aportar ideas para solventar situaciones de esta índole. Se recogen datos relacionados con el número de usuarios que fueron atendidos durante un año, la ocupación total del centro (número de pernoctaciones que hubo durante un mes del mismo año), la media de ocupación diaria del mes determinado y la media de los días en los que los usuarios pernoctaban en el centro. Seguidamente, se clasifica la información según edades, sexo, niveles educativos y lugar de nacimiento. Los resultados obtenidos indican que: las mujeres que llegan al centro de Ca l'Ardiaca están en el nivel de gradación de exclusión más bajo, la mayoría de los usuarios padecen enfermedades mentales y que los niveles de estresores padecidos en cada caso son muy elevados. En cuanto a niveles educativos, las personas mayoritariamente poseen enseñanza de primer grado (educación primaria). En cuanto al país de procedencia, los ciudadanos de la Unión Europea son el mayor número de personas atendidas. Los ciudadanos del Magreb están en segundo lugar y, los ciudadanos que provienen de América del Sur, que en Baleares representan a más de una cuarta parte de los extranjeros, en el albergue no llegan ni al cinco por ciento de los usuarios. Se opina que, a los datos estudiados, se deberían añadir datos empíricos relacionados con el mercado laboral así como el estado de salud de los usuarios. Se destaca una prevalencia e incidencia de los trastornos mentales en la población excluída.
