Athletics in most of its history, turned to competition, giving it little pedagogical knowledge, prevailing knowledge grounded in records, indexes and competitions. Thus, although it is considered a classic content of Physical Education, this modality is still not widespread in schools. The present study aimed to investigate possible progress in the teaching and learning of athletics in the State Schools of Bauru from the implementation of the Curriculum of the State of São Paulo for Teaching Physical Education. We attempted to checking the perspective of teachers and students, the changes in teaching and learning as well as difficulties encountered from the deployment. To that end, we conducted survey of the theoretical and practical alternatives developed by Physical Education teachers, about athletics theme, since the implementation of the Curriculum of the State of São Paulo for the Teaching of Physical Education in 2008, in seven (7) state schools in Bauru-Sao Paulo, randomly chosen, prioritizing different regions of the county. There was the purpose of investigating, through questionnaires, interviews (applied to teachers and students), what progress has been achieved with regard to the approach of collegiate athletics in the teaching/learning process, if there are difficulties, what are these and how they could be addressed in order to improve teaching and learning in school athletics. The collected data were analyzed comparatively, before and after implementation of the Curriculum of the State of São Paulo for Physical Education, gathering and specifying negative and/or positive aspects raised by teachers and students. It was concluded that the students' knowledge of the sport has increased, but the practice of sport is still far from being normal to them, doing so is necessary to include content from the earliest school years. This paper provides an overview of the key findings of a survey that sought to examine the relationship between local government agencies and agrarian reform communities in the State of São Paulo, particularly with regard to the types of support that have been provided by these agencies to the economic activities of settlements. The research was part of the project "The agencies and services involved in the implementation of public policies for equity and growth", which was supported by the Instituto de Colonização e Reforma Agraria (INCRA/SP), whose activities were carried out throughout 2011. In methodological terms, the research was divided into two stages. In the first stage, it sought to identify the main economic activities, vocations and potential of the influencing areas of the Quilombola communities and settlements in their respective regions and micro-regions. Therefore, a survey was conducted based on secondary data. In the second stage, a qualitative, exploratory, empirical, and multiple case study research was conducted. Local public officials, in charge of the institutional relations with the agrarian reform settlements (and quilombolas communities, in this case, one of the municipalities investigated) were the primary source of data for this analysis that sought to evaluate the strength, types and quality of support (plausible or effective) provided by the municipalities to the economic activities of settlements. The results indicated a set of reasonably heterogeneous components, and frequently, distinct, of particular circumstances. Based on the results some proposals for action plans were indicated, which probably would constitute a standard reference for the formulation and implementation of public policies and actions to improve the economic activities of the settlements.

From 1933 to 1944, the 21 Regional Offices of Education of the State of São Paulo worked out reports of inventory of the schools of São Paulo inspected in that period of time. At least 68 of those reports have been preserved in the Public Archive of the State of São Paulo. The current paper presents part of that patrimony as an important source of research for the history of education. By dividing that documentation between visual and written sources, the text will focus on the visual sources, and will discuss the methodological difficulties of using this kind of source. Following, will be illustrated part of the visual information that those documents offer to the researchers. The article concludes with a brief sampling of textual information that the reports provide to the historians.

Este trabalho tratou sobre o regime de progressão continuada, que foi implantado na rede pública de ensino do Estado de São Paulo em 1998, a partir da Deliberação do Conselho Estadual de Educação (CEE-SP) nº 09/1997, que pretendia uma reorganização escolar com a mudança do sistema seriado para a estruturação em ciclos.Criando assim novas formas de avaliação dos alunos e ainda, com a intenção de diminuir o fluxo da evasão escolar, abrir novas vagas, desonerar os cofres públicos, superar a fragmentação do currículo do ensino organizado em séries, entre outras demandas. Por meio de investigação qualitativa, levantamento bibliográfico e pesquisa documental,examinou-seo proposto com a implantação do regime de progressão continuada e dos ciclos no Estado de São Paulo e como ocorria a prática de promoção/aprovação automática dos alunos. Levantou-seos aspectos históricos e políticos relacionados a esta política pública educacional brasileira, indicando os inúmeros obstáculos enfrentados pelos professores e demais atores envolvidos nessa proposta, que se pretendeu progressista e includente, mas que, como podese perceber, uma vez que muitas das intenções estabelecidas na legislação não foram asseguradas, levou ao insucesso do regime de progressão continuada e da organização do ensino por ciclos no Estado Paulista, acarretando no Projeto de Lei nº 857/2015, que ainda se encontra em análise para posterior votação e indaga sobre a progressão continuada ter se transformado em promoção automática, na tentativa de destituí-la, com base nos resultados acerca da qualidade da educação básica das redes públicas do Estado de São Paulo, transparecidos, principalmente, a partir das avaliações externas e dos índices obtidos por elas

This paper aims to make a survey about the inclusion of children in need of special care in all schools and day nurseries (publics and privates) in ?Dois Córregos? city, in São Paulo. We interviewed 144 teachers and 14 school principals in 14 educational establishments ? 5 private schools, 5 state-owned schools, 2 municipal schools, 1 municipal nursery and 1 philanthropic nursery. The research aimed to investigate possible prejudices against the children in need of special care; verify if the schools have adequate infrastructure to receive the students in need of special care; and verify if the professionals who work in the schools are receiving (or received) specific training to work on this inclusion process. The results indicated that teachers who don?t work with children in need of special care are very insecure in receiving them. It?s evident that there are a lot of doubts and uncertainties about the inclusion system. In general, schools don?t have adequate infrastructure and most of the time the included students are those who have internal deficits, which are not evident.
