Neste livro pretende-se analisar, por meio dos comentários publicados pelo jornal O Estado de S. Paulo, os rastros deixados pelos colaboradores que, durante os anos de 1938 a 1945, interpretaram os acontecimentos do campo internacional como transformadores da realidade interna. Nesse sentido, não se trata de estudar os fatos que marcaram a Segunda Guerra Mundial, mas sim de demonstrar de que modo os articulistas construíram imagens que se firmaram ao longo do tempo e que destoavam, em grande medida, das diretrizes propugnadas pelo Estado Novo.

O transporte coletivo intermunicipal no Estado de São Paulo: as linhas suburbanas

Esse trabalho tem por objetivo, mostrar a evolução do sistema de transporte coletivo intermunicipal do Estado de São Paulo. Nesse sentido, partimos do processo de industrialização e nacionalização da indústria automobilística. Procuramos também mostrar a evolução do Departamento de Estradas e Rodagem [DER], no papel de direcionador e gerenciador do sistema. Nesse processo, detalhamos o papel de todos os governos do Estado de São Paulo, na implantação de sistema viário estadual [1950-2006]. Também procuramos demonstrar o surgimento dos principais grupos que monopolizam cada vez mais o setor dos transportes coletivo intermunicipal. Assim, vamos comprovar a tese de que as empresas do transporte coletivo intermunicipal estão utilizando as linhas suburbanas para fazer frente ao grande avanço do transporte clandestino intermunicipal no Estado de São Paulo.

Uma análise da evolução da área plantada da cana de açúcar no estado de São Paulo nos últimos 10 anos

This paper analyzes the evolution of the sugar cane plantation area in the State of São Paulo in the last ten years. It presents a concise report about the history of this raw material in the country and describes how the sector relating to sugar cane was before the economic deregulation and what changes occurred after 1990, emphasizing the territorially expansion occurred in the State of São Paulo. The paper concludes that the expansion of the sector relating to sugar cane occurred much more territorially than through productivity gains, considering that these ganis were bigger in the State of São Paulo, and that the economic deregulation left a legate of heterogeneity in this sector

A expansão do setor sucroenergético no estado de São Paulo

The changes occurring in Brazilian agriculture, with the inclusion of agro-industrial activities in your mode of production, must be analyzed to verify the changes in the behavior of territorial dynamics. Through changing the Rural Complex, traditional for the Agroindustrial Complex tightly integrated with trade and industry brought many consequences for the rural population, with regard to employment. The occupation of these agroindustrial facilities in rural spaces contextualized by territorialization of the rural complex, in that sense, understanding these concepts is a key part development in the research. therefore, are concepts of fundamental importance to geographical science, and interpreting their function and construction in rural spaces

O advento de novas matrizes energéticas no Brasil: experiências da implantação do PNPB em Mirante do Paranapanema e a produção de biodiesel em Mauá, Estado de São Paulo

Faced with the global discussion about the development of new alternative energy sources, this work tries to contribute to the understanding of the introduction of biodiesel in the energy market, identifying the barriers in the social logic, economic and productive in different spaces, rural and urban. Based on the guidelines of the National Biodiesel Production and Use Program (PNPB), it intended to accompany the implementation of public policies in relation to family farmers settled in the Pontal, located in the western region of São Paulo. In parallel, we will analyze the organizational structure and logistics of the production of biodiesel in the city, although it does not dependent on agricultural production and it is not a target of public policies, it takes advantage of the demand created by PNPB when it comes to increasing the amount of biodiesel blended with mineral origin diesel. The activity examined in the urban space is the collection of used frying oil held by Ecosanta Biofuels, a company located in the town of Maua, São Paulo metropolitan region. The monograph aims to broaden our understanding despite the urban-rural issue regarding the obstacles and opportunities in expanding renewable energy

Limites e possibilidades para a dinamização das atividades econômicas em assentamentos da reforma agrária no Estado de São Paulo

This paper provides an overview of the key findings of a survey that sought to examine the relationship between local government agencies and agrarian reform communities in the State of São Paulo, particularly with regard to the types of support that have been provided by these agencies to the economic activities of settlements. The research was part of the project "The agencies and services involved in the implementation of public policies for equity and growth", which was supported by the Instituto de Colonização e Reforma Agraria (INCRA/SP), whose activities were carried out throughout 2011. In methodological terms, the research was divided into two stages. In the first stage, it sought to identify the main economic activities, vocations and potential of the influencing areas of the Quilombola communities and settlements in their respective regions and micro-regions. Therefore, a survey was conducted based on secondary data. In the second stage, a qualitative, exploratory, empirical, and multiple case study research was conducted. Local public officials, in charge of the institutional relations with the agrarian reform settlements (and quilombolas communities, in this case, one of the municipalities investigated) were the primary source of data for this analysis that sought to evaluate the strength, types and quality of support (plausible or effective) provided by the municipalities to the economic activities of settlements. The results indicated a set of reasonably heterogeneous components, and frequently, distinct, of particular circumstances. Based on the results some proposals for action plans were indicated, which probably would constitute a standard reference for the formulation and implementation of public policies and actions to improve the economic activities of the settlements.

Impactos da progressão continuada na educação do estado de São Paulo

The presented article discuss theoretical context and the practical impact reported in the bibliography about Continued Progression at São Paulo State schools. The impact of educational public policy drafted through Continued Progression provoke transformations that need more attention, indicating a path of reflection turned to structural conditions in order that school offers the required reinforcement to students and assure quality education. It’s primordial understand, therefore, the endogenous and exogenous factors that leaded to adoption of such proceeding in the São Paulo State.
