This paper characterizes the relationship between entrepreneurial wealth and aggregate investment under adverse selection. Its main finding is that such a relationship need not be monotonic. In particular, three results emerge from the analysis: (i) pooling equilibria, in which investment is independent of entrepreneurial wealth, are more likely to arise when entrepreneurial wealth is relatively low; (ii) separating equilibria, in which investment is increasing in entrepreneurial wealth, are most likely to arise when entrepreneurial wealth is relatively high and; (iii) for a given interest rate, an increase in entrepreneurial wealth may generate a discontinuous fall in investment.

Objective Analyzing the narratives related to the pedagogical practice experienced during the Supervised Curricular Internship reported in the portfolios of Nursing undergraduate students, regarding the levels of reflection. Method This is a documentary descriptive exploratory study that examined two of the activities proposed for the portfolio preparation. Results Among the 28 analyzed portfolios, all showed the three levels of reflection (technical, critical and metacritical). Conclusion The students had the opportunity to experience the pedagogical practice and presented reflections at metacritical level, reflecting on their performance, the construction of their teaching identity, and about the importance of reflecting on the practice with the objective of transforming it and transforming themselves.

O mundo contemporâneo tem demonstrado, nas últimas décadas, que as sociedades são confrontadas e atravessadas por transformações profundas das estruturas sociais a grande dimensão, gerando mutações na organização do trabalho e da vida familiar, adquirindo formas diversas, consoante os contextos e locais. O forte aumento da participação das mulheres no mercado de trabalho teve um impacto decisivo na reconfiguração familiar, tanto na esfera pública como na esfera privada, com consequências muito expressivas nas formas de articulação entre a vida profissional e familiar. Tanto o modelo do homem provedor foi posto em causa, como as formas actuais de divisão familiar de trabalho revelam assimetrias entre os casais e a evolução do modelo de duplo emprego. Esta investigação, analisa a problemática da conciliação vida familiar e trabalho na sociedade Cabo-verdiana, debruçando-se especificamente sobre as estratégias que os indivÃduos utilizam, tendo em conta dois agentes: o Estado e a famÃlia. A metodologia de pesquisa utilizada baseou-se na análise documental de âmbito qualitativo e quantitativo e a técnica de recolha de informação, em entrevistas de tipo semi-directivo, a dez casais, casados ou vivendo maritalmente, com filhos e que trabalham
