This series will include all those people who, by means of their contributions, great and small, played a part in the consolidation of ichthyology in Argentina. The general plan of this work consists of individual factsheets containing a list of works by each author, along with reference bibliography and, whenever possible, personal pictures and additional material. The datasheets will be published primarily in chronological order, although this is subject to change by the availability of materials for successive editions. This work represents another approach for the recovery and revalorization of those who set the foundations of Argentine ichthyology while in diverse historical circumstances. Spanish: En esta serie se mencionan a todos aquellos que, a través de sus pequeños o grandes aportes, contribuyeron a la consolidación de la disciplina en nuestro país. El plan general de esta contribución consiste en la elaboración de fichas individuales que contengan una lista de trabajos de los diferentes autores, acompañadas por bibliografía de referencia y, cuando ello fuera posible, por imágenes personales y material adicional. Se tratará de guardar un orden cronológico, pero esto no es excluyente, ya que priorizaremos las sucesivas ediciones al material disponible. Este es otro camino para rescatar y revalorizar a quienes en diversos contextos históricos sentaron las bases de lo que hoy es la ictiología nacional. Estudio de investigación de las competencias demandadas y del perfil profesional requerido a los titulados de la Escuela Universitaria de Ingeniería de Vitoria-Gasteiz

A partir del análisis del perfil del ingeniero en la sociedad europea, se ha elaborado una encuesta amplia mediante la que se solicitó a las empresas del entorno las competencias y materias que consideraban más importantes en la formación de los ingenieros de las titulaciones ofertadas en la Escuela. A partir de los resultados de dichas encuestas, se establece un perfil requerido a los titulados.

La regulación-desregulación de la economía española en las últimas décadas y sus implicaciones en el mercado de trabajo

Desde hace casi treinta años se habla de politicas activas de empleo, su objetivo es mejorar su eficiencia ya que uno de los problemas más importantes que tenemos en la actualidad en la economía española es la alta tasa de desempleo, que todos los gobiernos tratan de reducir.

Influencia de la respiración controlada en las cifras de presión arterial de pacientes con hipertensión arterial

La hipertensión arterial es un problema de salud pública de gran dimensión, constituyendo el factor de riesgo cardiovascular más frecuente en nuestro país. Su alta prevalencia y la posibilidad de ejercer un buen control tanto de la patología en sí misma, como de sus consecuencias derivadas, la convierten en un problema de gran interés sociosanitario. Por todo ello, el propósito de este proyecto de investigación es investigar la eficacia de la respiración controlada y de las técnicas de relajación por respiración en la disminución y el control de las cifras de presión arterial, ya que puede servir de instrumento para mejorar la atención sanitaria a la persona hipertensa.

Detección automática de presencia/ausencia de atún en imágenes obtenidas mediante sonar de largo alcance a bordo de buques pesqueros y aplicación de Optical Character Recognition (OCR) para la extracción de parámetros

En esta tesis de máster se presenta una metodología para el análisis automatizado de las señales del sonar de largo alcance y una aplicación basada en la técnica de reconocimiento óptico de Optical Character Recognition, caracteres (OCR). La primera contribución consiste en el análisis de imágenes de sonar mediante técnicas de procesamiento de imágenes. En este proceso, para cada imagen de sonar se extraen y se analizan las regiones medibles, obteniendo para cada región un conjunto de características. Con la ayuda de los expertos, cada región es identi cada en una clase (atún o no-atún). De este modo, mediante el aprendizaje supervisado se genera la base de datos y, a su vez, se obtiene un modelo de clasi cación. La segunda contribución es una aplicación OCR que reconoce y extrae de las capturas de pantalla de imágenes de sonar, los caracteres alfanuméricos correspondientes a los parámetros de situación (velocidad, rumbo, localización GPS) y la confi guración de sonar (ganancias, inclinación, ancho del haz). El objetivo de este proceso es el de maximizar la e ficiencia en la detección de atún en el Golfo de Vizcaya y dar el primer paso hacia el desarrollo de un índice de abundancia de esta especie, el cual esté basado en el procesamiento automático de las imágenes de sonar grabadas a bordo de la ota pesquera durante su actividad pesquera rutinaria.

Una reflexión acerca del problema del desempleo en la C.A.P.V.

La Comunidad Autónoma Vasca presenta una realidad socio-económica compleja sobre la que inciden multitud de variables políticas,económicas y culturales que han mediatizado nuestro desarrollo en los últimos años. Partiendo de que el principal problema que tiene la economía vasca y también la española es el paro,nos planteamos qué líneas de actuación deberían darse, si no para solucionarlo totalmente, sí al menos para reducirlo de una forma significativa.

Peces continentales de la Argentina: Iconografía. Brycon orbignyanus.

The goal of this work is to present a collection of drawings and figures depicting the species present in our country. To achieve this, our main sources of information have been the works of Ringuelet et al. (1967), Reis et al. (2003), and López et al. (2003; 2006), as well as the online databases of W. N. Eschmeyer and Fish Base. Each species has an individual factsheet with selected images, including some from anatomical research works. All the works referenced are mentioned in each factsheet. This is an open-ended publication. As such, it will require permanent updating, which will depend on the good will and collaboration of the ichthyological community. As compilers, we understand that this contribution not only provides valuable information, but also highlights the work of men and women who are part of the rich history of our national and regional ichthyology.

Peces continentales de la Argentina: Bibliografía. Brycon orbignyanus.

The goal of this work is to compile the existing information about the species present in our country. This has been done by means of datasheets that list both local references and reviews by foreign authors that include Argentine taxa. The main information sources consulted were Ringuelet et al. (1967), CLOFFSCA (2003), López et al. (2003; 2006), Liotta (2006) and the online databases of W. N. Eschmeyer and Fish Base. This is an open-ended publication. As such, it will require permanent updating, which will depend on the good will and collaboration of the ichthyological community. With this contribution, we hope to help to build a database of the freshwater fish of Argentina. The completion of this project will provide support to diverse plans emanating from different sectors, as well as promote the diffusion of this field of research and reaffirm Argentina’s sovereign rights over our natural resources.
