Designamos a sociedade emergente como Sociedade de Economias de Informação/Sociedade da Informação, sendo caracterizada por mudanças constantes e radicais provocadas pelas TIC e novos meios de comunicação, que transformaram a sociedade industrial. A sociedade emergente pode ser a génese de economias diferenciadas: sociedades com meios tecnológicos e informacionais avançados, que criam economias avançadas e sociedades desprovidas desses meios, originando economias pobres. Este quadro desigual interage com o Homem, com o Sujeito, diversificando as estruturas sociais e ocupacionais: os ricos e os que têm emprego equivalem aos que possuem, dominam a informação, o conhecimento e a economia; os pobres, os info-excluídos (desprovidos de informação e conhecimento) e com empregos com baixos níveis de qualificação ou mesmo desempregados, vivem em sociedades com sistemas económicos pobres. Assim sendo, a escola não pode alhear-se desta sociedade emergente. Teoricamente, desenvolvemos dois paradigmas: o educacional e o informacional. O paradigma educacional reúne várias correntes teóricas: cultural, sociocognitiva (construtivista), tecnológica e social. O paradigma informacional baseou-se em literatura de diversos autores, para além do contributo recente de Manuel Castells. Os dois paradigmas permitiram criar a concepção de uma nova escola: a escola construtivista, que dá primazia ao Homem, como Sujeito Cultural. O ensino passa a ser centrado no aluno, com a mediação/orientação dos professores, do bibliotecário escolar, dos pais e das múltiplas fontes de informação, tanto impressas como electrónicas, das TIC e de novos modelos de aprendizagem, baseados na interdisciplinaridade, no desenvolvimento de novas competências, e do pensamento crítico, do trabalho colaborativo e na construção de novos conhecimentos. Neste contexto, a biblioteca escolar assume grande relevância. É o centro informacional, transversal e interactivo na nova escola construtivista, e adopta, na presente investigação, a designação de biblioteca escolar analógica/digital, porque reúne os recursos documentais da galáxia de Gutenberg e os que nasceram no ambiente tecnológico, digitalizado e “webizado”. A biblioteca escolar analógica/digital adequa-se ao paradigma do projecto curricular pelo facto de também valorizar o processo de pesquisa da informação, como etapa cognitiva. No estudo de caso, implementado em três escolas secundárias da Região, desenhamos um modelo de aprendizagem baseado numa tríade interdisciplinar, cujo tema leccionado foi a ”Laurissilva”, isto é, a floresta da ilha da Madeira. A tríade interdisciplinar percorreu a seguinte sequência: Aula de Geografia+Biblioteca escolar+Aula de Informática. Trata-se de um estudo de caso holístico e integrado. Os alunos com a mediação e orientação dos intervenientes, com o apoio das TIC e da Biblioteca escolar, construíram novos conhecimentos, num ambiente colaborativo, interdisciplinar, inovador e interactivo, distintos dos da aula teórica leccionada na sala de aula, fechada e transmissionista.

É consensual na literatura e nos meios de comunicação social a crescente divulgação dos casos de indisciplina escolar, tendo estes assumido uma posição sociomediática a nível nacional e internacional. A frequência e complexidade desta temática fazem com que sejam cada vez mais crescentes os estudos científicos onde se pretende encontrar os factores/causas, as estratégias e o modo de prevenção da indisciplina escolar. Esta investigação teve como principal intuito compreender quais as causas da indisciplina escolar, tendo em conta a análise de quatro variáveis explícitas: contexto familiar, rendimento socioeconómico, motivação escolar e rendimento escolar. A amostra é composta 66 sujeitos entre os 10 e os 17 anos de idade (10 raparigas e 56 rapazes), divididos em dois grupos distintos (grupo de indisciplina e grupo comparação), que se encontram a frequentar uma escola do 2.º e 3.º Ciclo do ensino básico, situada no Funchal, Região Autónoma da Madeira, Portugal. Para a recolha parcial de dados foi utilizado o Questionário de Motivação Escolar - QME. Os resultados indicam uma clara associação entre baixa motivação escolar e baixo rendimento escolar com a ocorrência de indisciplina. Quanto ao contexto familiar e o rendimento socioeconómico, a associação já não é tão evidente, dado que somente o estado civil dos pais dos alunos (divorciados) e o tipo de habitação (social) se encontra maioritariamente associado aos alunos com comportamentos indisciplinados.

Como afirmar a própria subjetividade e pertenças identitárias num mundo em constante mudança pelo excesso de informação midiática e pela alternância de papéis sociais? Para jovens urbanos, o consumo cultural possibilita utilizar a imagem do próprio corpo como instância de incorporação de valores, símbolos midiáticos e expressão de subjetividade a partir de sua escolha por produtos simbólicos veiculados pela mídia da comunicação de massa e tatuados na pele. Com suporte principal em Hall, Canclíni, Morin e Le Breton, partimos do pressuposto de que não existe realidade sem representação da linguagem; assim, a opção por certos tipos de narradores midiáticos da cultura contemporânea põe em foco o simbolismo sobreposto à pele, que reproduz imagens icônicas de bandas, filmes e desenhos animados ou de quadrinhos. Essas imagens são resíduos de memórias individuais/coletivas ostentadas socialmente e que discursam sobre as relações de consumo dos sujeitos sociais e as novas sensibilidades originadas da convivência tecnologicamente midiatizada

Drugs advertising is one of the most important marketing resources used by the pharmaceutical industry to induce people to buy these products although they do not have the real necessity to use them. The purpose of this article is to evaluate drugs advertisings transmitted on radio stations in Natal/RN, from October 2007 to September 2008. Were collected 228 advertising pieces, where, 21 were different among themselves and corresponded to 15 drugs. The results showed that 73,3% of the drugs ads were announced on AM station and 26,7% on FM station. The majority of the drugs were constituted of analgesics (26%), following by antiacids, vitamins, phitotherapics (13% each). The legal analysis showed that each advertising had some kind of infraction. The omission of the registration number happened in each advertising, following by the totally lack of contraindications (95,2%) and contraindications DCB/DCI (76,2%). In 42,9% advertisements were observed the relation between drugs use and physique/intellectual/emotional/sexual performance and/or beauty and 33% of them had abusive exploration of illnesses. The obligatory warning was omitted in 28,6% and the offer of financial bonus happened in 9,5% cases. The content analysis demonstrated that the most persuasion and convincing elements observed were indicatives of consumption appeal (34,2%). The study indicates the necessity of the topic drugs advertisements to be treated in a wide context, that is, to be discussed as a public health concern. Although the advertising regulation and inspection is the State responsibility , this should be shared with the advertising agency, pharmaceutical industry and media. Furthermore, it is indispensable to inform and to conscience the population of their rights in such mistaken situation

Neste debate, historiadores latino-americanos comparam a pandemia de gripe de 1918-1919 com a que varre o continente em 2009, sobretudo as experiências de México, Argentina e Brasil. Analisam as estratégias adotadas nos dois momentos, com ênfase em isolamento, vigilância em portos e aeroportos, intervenções nas cidades. Comparam a atuação dos Estados nacionais e governos locais, a posição dos médicos e dos meios de comunicação e o comportamento das populações, especialmente no tocante ao medo e à morte. Analisam o desempenho das estruturas de assistência às populações e as medidas terapêuticas e profiláticas recomendadas por órgãos públicos de saúde, por interesses privados ligados à venda de medicamentos e pelas medicinas populares e caseiras. O debate trata, ainda, da influência que a experiência de 1918 teve sobre as avaliações da crise atual, bem como do legado que deixará para o futuro.

The thesis intends to discuss the ethics by the way of love. So, it uses as a mention the musical work and the set of attitudes of the group that changed the way of thinking across the 20th Century mass-comm, entering a new way of thinking about the World: The Beatles. Analyzing the lyrics and the writing of the songs was searched the comprehension of he intrinsic love message at the Ethics it expresses. At the musical art of The Beatles political messages had been announced in a time that the World sought a Ethic way beyond the several declared war and the Cold War. Taking the Edgar Morin works as a base, O método 6, Ética (2005), it sought to understand the idea who permeates the human relations: the good, the possible, the necessary. Another works used as a cognitive base were Meus demônios (2003), Cultura de massas no Século XX: neurose (2005), Cultura de massas no Século XX (2006), The Beatles Anthology (2000) and Many years from now (2000). Holding the Ethics idea showed by Morin were established imaginary lines that perpass the behavior of the group known in the entire World understood till nowadays as tolerance, comprehension, peace, love and endurance messengers. The Beatles operate during the sixties a musical reborn, which allowed to the people the discussion and the reflexion about the World and the human being new behavior,endurance but acting with tolerance. Permeating the basic study, we find the Beatles way, the group origin, the fast walk till success, the spiritual choice, who guide their behavior and the end of the band. The music used as a masscomp instrument passes by the condition of a simple way of communicating. It deeply action feeds feelings, allows transcendence and is showed as target of human being transformation. The Ethics in music passes by the ideological barriers and becomes to comprehension with a clear synthony for the man, cause the polyphony and the new musical order establish the messages worldwide

Contemporary politics have assumed new configurations both in the way they are carried out and in the content publicized. Nevertheless, some practices are unchanged since antiquity. But the advent of the media and its circumstantial molding of current society have forced politics to make some changes to adapt both to mass media and to the new social practices in liberal democracy. Given that fact, this study tried to demonstrate how power has become personalized in Campina Grande, Paraíba, Brazil, by a politician named Cássio Cunha Lima. Through the communications media and popular manifestations, he has been trying to create a symbiosis between Micarande a Carnival party (not held in the traditional Mardi Gras week) and his own public image, elaborating a process that identifies him with that event. In that way, he hopes to appropriate the festival and project his political image by using the party as na electoral currency in his publicity campaigns

This study aims to examine the contemporary viewer and also propose a review of the literature surrounding the spanish researcher Jésus Martín-Barbero. The proposed review, based on Martín-Barbero observations and the Latin American Cultural Studies analysis, observes the individual as part of the processes of communication and research on the concept of cultural mediation, the viewer as component/agent/object of the production of meaning. The study will perceive it as an element of inaccuracy/inadequacy and understand it as a subject of these reactive processes that contain complex and involve communication and culture, in contrast the impressions that resulted from a discussion between a television professional and a communication researcher and of these findings on the same viewer. The work also aims to point the viewer as a component of the possible mapping desired by Martín-Barbero to massive contemporary interpretation of the processes and its concept of night map

The issues surrounding the religious have been given greater importance in scientific discussions and the media. Discussions on religion and religiosity have become widespread as a means for construction of social representations, both as individual levels, in addition, in the collectivity. This work deals with the construction of the order of Jesus, missionaries and settlers of the projects that marked the presence of the Jesuit missionaries, from colonization to the religious restructuring imposed after the expulsion of the Jesuit Order in Sergipe. Expulsion is what happened in the midst of political and administrative changes made by the Portuguese government in the mid-eighteenth century, which had representation at the Marquis of Pombal its creator. Understanding the religious and social restructuring, designed here in the practices and representations of popular and official. This restructuring has had on the religious brotherhoods, religious orders and other representations, an important symbolic presence in the spaces sociorreligiosos linked to Catholic practices in Sergipe. The freedom of social communication referred to those freedoms exercised under of the media. The journalism is professional activity responsible for factual information, real, pluralistic and of the public interest, directed diffusely to social orientation. The right of the information, characterized as diffuse right or of fruition by uncertain and numerous holders, is subdivided in the right of the inform, inform yourself and right to be informed. The journalists, as occupants of a enlarged spectrum concerning of right of the inform, have responsibility for the information they disseminate, devoir that puts on the basis of the constitutional right to be informed. This duty is divided with journalistic companies, when them realized. In the research, examined the existence of constitutional guarantees the right to be informed. To answer the question, realized research to support bibliographical and documentary. The guaranty is a empirical preoccupation coated with legality, since lends itself effect concretize a right. Traced so a panel of guarantees of institutional imprint, substantive and procedural. Treating of the institutional guarantees the right to information, it would refer to true institutions (as the free press) and may begin subjective rights. In the case of substantial guarantees, we would have access to information, the confidentiality of the fonts and the incensurable feature of journalistic information. A guarantee peculiar would be constitution of bodies responsible for monitoring the quality of the vehicles of communication. Under the aegis of the third diocese bishop of Caicó, Dom Manuel Tavares de Araújo, the Broadcasting Station of Rural Education of that city was founded, in May 1 s" 1963 with the ideal of being then an educational city, preferentially for youths and adults, rural meu and women of the arca of Seridó in Rio Grande do Norte state. In the year of its 40th birthday (2003), we began the investigation of that radio station choosing as study object its educational and formative programming, in the inc1usion of the first fifteen years of its existence (1963-1978), period that reaches the official inauguration of the Radio Station and the end of the bishopric of its fOllllder as Bishop of Caicó. Elucidating and showing Man's formative ideaIs longed by that Catholic educational broadcasting station, underlying to its radiophonic programming, such as the idealization for it reached, is the objective of this Doctorate work. It was considered pertinent to discover the guidelines that historically have permeated the Social Doçtrine of the Catholic Church addressing its aggiornamento, especially in what concerns to the employment of the modern ways of communication for the distance with the aim of evangelizing and educating. In arder to understand the ideaIs of the investigated educational Radio, we have delimited the research to the thematic Catholic Church, means of social communication and base education. In face of the study object and the aim to be reached it was appealed, methodologically, to the notion of cultural action present in Certeau (1995), and to the understanding of educational formation backgrounded fIam the modern thinkers that discuss it. Such frame references have allowed us to analyze in a wider spectrum tl)e programming broadcasted on the air by the sound wavys of that educ(itional Çatholic Radio, as well as, the very acts of cultural idealizations that has orientated it in its foundations. The thesis here defended is that. the Radio, at procJaiming itself as a broadcasting station of rural education directed preferably to the rural sertanejo countrymen, without neglecting its admitted ends, has surpassed them in its overall range. It was identified an articulate approach of its programmatic modules with the guid,elines emanateq from the Catholic Teaching about the use of the. means of social communication. At conceiving, establishin,g and executing an ec1ectic programmatic and div,ersified grating, the Rural Radio of Caicó has transcended to a strict human-Christian formation to request the development of the human, spiritual and cQrporaldimensions, jointly. With suchprogramming, it addressed to the seridoenses as real meu and women inserted in the "sertanej.o" environment with effective structural and existential problems of alI types, induding the hunger, the thirst, the syndical organization, the cQoperativism, the colIective modero work and the absence of universalizing school education. Its radiophonic transmissions, I}lled by the demands of an enlarged, open, dialogic and responsible communication, wheneIllbracing dedicated modules to religious and catechetical emissions, to the entertainment, to the radiojoumalism, to the country root culture, and to the school education of b se for the modality of the School and of the radiophonic classes, subsumed to ideaIs that longed for the formation of a multifaceted and pluridimensional sertanejo Man; of men and women that, without abjuring the Catholicism, were able to understand, to dialogued and to live together with the general demands of a society in progressive mutation, whose economical, social, cultural and educational demands it IDade themselves to be felt through the sertão potiguar of the Serido region, equal way of the intemationalized world

The dialogue represents an essential condition for the complete realization of the Communication. In Paulo Freire we find a concept of dialogue which expresses itself, fundamentally, in two dimension: on one hand, in the confluence of subjectivities; on the other, in action. Dialogue would not be, therefore, a thinking for , but a thinking with . On the other hand, the media, here understood as synonym of technical media of information and expression is spread all over society as synonym of communication media. In this direction, this paper intends to check if the media allows the dialogue, in the heart of the Freirean concept of communication. We start from the premise that it is not possible to come to an answer if we continue to accept the theoretical approach which polarizes the process of communication between emitter and receptor. By using elements of the ethnomethodology such as the analysis of the conversation and the reflexivity, we dived in the school everyday life of educators and students of an elementary level public school in the city of Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte, in order to, through some experiences with the media, corroborate Paulo Freire's ideas, stating the mediation made by the world and seeking a bias for the use of the media to enable a more dialogic education
