The advantages of antennas that can resemble the shape of the body to which they are attached are obvious. However, electromagnetic modeling of such unusually shaped antennas can be difficult. In this paper, the commercially available software SolidWorks(TM) is used for accurately drawing complex shapes in conjunction with the electromagnetic software FEKO(TM) to model the EM behavior of conformal antennas. The application of SolidWorks and custom-written software allows all the required information that forms the analyzed structure to be automatically inserted into FEKO, and gives the user complete control over the antenna being modeled. This approach is illustrated by a number of simulation examples of single, wideband, multi-band planar and curved patch antennas.

The non-semisimple gl(2)k current superalgebra in the standard basis and the corresponding non-unitary conformal field theory are investigated. Infinite families of primary fields corresponding to all finite-dimensional irreducible typical and atypical representations of gl(212) and three (two even and one odd) screening currents of the first kind are constructed explicitly in terms of ten free fields. While reforms of welfare policies have been widely analyzed, the reform of welfare administration has received far less attention. Using empirical case studies, this book provides significant new insights into the way welfare administration is being internationally transformed. Particular attention is given to the effect on welfare clients, staff, and agencies. The book presents a critical analysis of governance practices in welfare administration, examining shifts in the participants, practices, and processes. Administering Welfare Reform provides a much-needed international and comparative perspective of changing welfare governance.

Models and model transformations are the core concepts of OMG's MDA (TM) approach. Within this approach, most models are derived from the MOF and have a graph-based nature. In contrast, most of the current model transformations are specified textually. To enable a graphical specification of model transformation rules, this paper proposes to use triple graph grammars as declarative specification formalism. These triple graph grammars can be specified within the FUJABA tool and we argue that these rules can be more easily specified and they become more understandable and maintainable. To show the practicability of our approach, we present how to generate Tefkat rules from triple graph grammar rules, which helps to integrate triple graph grammars with a state of a art model transformation tool and shows the expressiveness of the concept.

Since the object management group (OMG) commenced its model driven architecture (MDA) initiative, there has been considerable activity proposing and building automatic model transformation systems to help implement the MDA concept. Much less attention has been given to the need to ensure that model transformations generate the intended results. This paper explores one aspect of validation and verification for MDA: coverage of the source and/or target metamodels by a set of model transformations. The paper defines the property of metamodel coverage and some corresponding algorithms. This property helps the user assess which parts of a source (or target) metamodel are referenced by a given model transformation set. Some results are presented from a prototype implementation that is built on the eclipse modeling framework (EMF).

Neuroimaging studies of cortical activation during image transformation tasks have shown that mental rotation may rely on similar brain regions as those underlying visual perceptual mechanisms. The V5 complex, which is specialised for visual motion, is one region that has been implicated. We used functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to investigate rotational and linear transformation of stimuli. Areas of significant brain activation were identified for each of the primary mental transformation tasks in contrast to its own perceptual reference task which was cognitively matched in all respects except for the variable of interest. Analysis of group data for perception of rotational and linear motion showed activation in areas corresponding to V5 as defined in earlier studies. Both rotational and linear mental transformations activated Brodman Area (BA) 19 but did not activate V5. An area within the inferior temporal gyrus, representing an inferior satellite area of V5, was activated by both the rotational perception and rotational transformation tasks, but showed no activation in response to linear motion perception or transformation. The findings demonstrate the extent to which neural substrates for image transformation and perception overlap and are distinct as well as revealing functional specialisation within perception and transformation processing systems.

An alkali- and nitrate-free hydrotalcite coating has been grafted onto the surface of a hierarchically ordered macroporous-mesoporous SBA-15 template via stepwise growth of conformal alumina adlayers and their subsequent reaction with magnesium methoxide. The resulting low dimensional hydrotalcite crystallites exhibit excellent per site activity for the base catalysed transesterification of glyceryl triolein with methanol for FAME production.

Stéphane Mallarmé's texts on dance criticism occupy a prominent place in dance literature. They have also been of major interest to the Mallarme specialists who have seen in them the key to a greater understanding of the whole of his work. In this article I determine how his dance writings can be interpreted in the context of the whole of the œuvre, including for example the women's magazine he wrote and produced, La Dernière Mode. I establish to what extent the female presence in Mallarmé's poetry tends towards metaphors, women's bodies absent or negated by the gaze of the poet. As the poet responds to the stimulus of the dance, he divests the female dancer of her womanly characteristics, recasting her in his own imagination both as feminine principle and incarnation of 'l'Idée', and also as mythical being, 'au-delà de toute vie possible', a composite of other female characters inhabiting his œuvre, constantly poised between presence and absence, stillness and movement, a locus for a precarious balance which is endlessly re-enacted in h.is own writing practice.
