Atividades circenses em academias: uma nova opção no âmbito do lazer

The Brazilian population needs of practicing exercises increases every day by the health or pleasure results of it. But although conventional options of physical activities are more popular and easier to find out wherever you go, alternative ways of exercising yourself and unconscious and indirect ways to obtain wellness and health are increasing its popularity nowadays. One example of it is the circus classes inside the gyms, where people have fun during intense body working, while get in shape and relax them mind, getting all the benefits like any other conventional physical activity does. Thinking about the increasing teaching of circus arts like a new option of physical activity and leisure to the Sao Paulo citizens inside its bigger gyms, this study founded out how and why these classes were offered there and the reasons of the people interests and maintenance of them practice in this kind of classes.

Jardim Botânico em Paranapiacaba

A vida nas grandes cidades distancia cada vez mais o ser humano e a natureza, e a necessidade de parques e áreas verdes dentro das grandes zonas urbanas nunca foi tão evidente. Nesse cenário, o papel dos jardins botânicos deixa de ser meramente científico, para assumir também um lado mais voltado à educação ambiental. Vários exemplos espalhados pelo mundo, inclusive no Brasil, confirmam esta afirmação. A proposta de um Jardim Botânico para Paranapiacaba, famosa pela frequente neblina, se deve ao fato de ser ela uma vila histórica, cravada no que ainda resta da Mata Atlântica, em São Paulo. Seu conjunto arquitetônico de edificações em estilo inglês – no qual se destacam a reconstituição da estação ferroviária, utilizada atualmente para o turismo ferroviário, bem como seu original relógio londrino – e o entroncamento ferroviário são dos mais significativos exemplos da arquitetura e da engenharia ferroviária inglesa dos fins do século XIX. Dança de salão: perspectivas de satisfação e motivos de adesão

The need to practice physical activity of any kind grows day by day. People look for studios, clubs, parks, either to practice some kind of sport, gymnastics classes, workout or a good walk. Over the last few years, another option has arived arose, which is a little different from what we are used to see. We are talking about Ballroom Dance, a new alternative for thoses who wants or needs to practice some physical activity but is looking for a different environment. Ballroom Dance is growing, thanks to the media, it has been an effective option for whom seeks to fill her free time and gains benefits such as leisure, satisfaction, health and quality of live, etc. Therefore, the objectives of this study were: investigating the reasons that lead the people to look for classes like Ballroom Dance and identify the degree of satisfaction of these students regarding Ballroom Dance classes. Thirty eight students participated in this study: some came from a dance studio from Rio Claro (SP), some from a gym academy with Ballroom Dance classes from Campo Grande (MS) and some from a Ballroom Dance Program of Unesp, Rio Claro in the community. The participants of both genders, ageing between 18 to 60 years, were enpaped on Ballroom program for at least one month. They answered a questionnaire related to the issue. After analyzing the data it was confirmed that people seeks for Ballroom Dance because they like to dance, they feel pleasure to dance, besides feeling relaxed in the activity and because dancing brought them fun. Regarding the Degree of satisfaction, all of them stated being satisfied with Ballroom Dance.

Técnicas de Bioengenharia Aplicadas ás Áreas de Preservação Permanente Urbanas – Presidente Prudente, São Paulo

There is a demand to incorporate the nature in the city in order to meet the wishes of the entire population. The valuation of water, a key component of the quality of the landscape, becomes a key element in this context both for its ecological potential because of their potential for recreational activities. The areas that suffer most impacts are the Permanent Preservation Areas (PPAs) and this paper will be a weighting on the urban interface - PPA. With the study area the basin of the stream of Limoeiro, in the context of the Friendship Fountain Balneary, especially the source contained between residential neighborhoods Maré Mansa and Parque Imperial, the city of Presidente Prudente and Álvares Machado, Sao Paulo, this paper aims to search and use of knowledge about technologies and techniques of environmental restoration, with emphasis on bioengineering, through an environmental characterization of the basin, with a view the incorporation of nature in the lives of the urban population. The methodology includes: literature review priority issues related to the PPAs, linear parks, relevant environmental legislation, environmental characterization of the watershed of the stream Limoeiro; study of technologies and techniques for environmental remediation of soil bioengineering and implementation of parks linear, development of proposals for the environmental recovery of PPA in the basin of the stream Limoeiro, focusing on emerging... Vicentina Aranha de sanatório a parque: histórias e mudanças

This assignment intents to analyze the recover and the research of the cultural legacy identity of Vicentina Aranha Sanatorium to the inhabitants of the city of São José dos Campos-SP. That initiative becomes present through the importancy of the sanatorium to the public health of Vale do Paraíba in the decades between 30 and 70, of the 20th century. Nowadays this place refuges a park, presenting a reexamination of its space, with the possibility of the leisure practice, entertaining and tourism. The Vicentina Aranha Sanatorium Park presents itself conserving a landscape that is able of being inserted in a continuum past-present resignifying ways of appropriation and use. The word patrimony has many meanings and it‟s commonly associated to the set of goods that someone, the society or an entity owns. Transporting in a determinate territory, the patrimony starts to be a set of goods that are in its limits of administrative competency. (BARRETO, 2000). More than this, the cultural-historical patrimony guard a relation of belonging between it and the entity that has it. The Vicentina Aranha Sanatorium was inaugurated in 1924, with the project of the architect, Ramos de Azevedo, constituting an architectural ensemble placed under governmental trust as a historical and cultural patrimony of the state in 2001. It has a grove with centenary vegetal species like: MOGNO, PEROBA ROSA, JEQUITIBÁ and JACARANDA, constituting also a natural patrimony important for the city. Proposta de criação de um Parque Natural Municipal no entorno no bairro Mãe Preta em Rio Claro - SP

This study aims to identify the environmental and social elements that should underpin the creation of a Municipal Natural Park in accordance with Law 9985/2000, establishing the SISTEMA NACIONAL DE UNIDADES DE CONSERVAÇÃO ( SNUC ) . The northeast sector of the city of Rio Claro - SP , envolving, among others , the neighborhood Mãe Preta, the most significant of the site is consolidated as an area of significant environmental value for the consolidation of a conservation area . The proposed establishment of this unit has been discussed since the beginning of this year by Secretaria Municipal de Planejamento, Desenvolvimento e Meio Ambiente de Rio Claro- SP (SEPLADEMA ) and meets the Municipal Director Plan that provides for the establishment of several protected areas in the City . The study area suffers severe pressure due to peripheral urbanization and characterized environmental fragility according to numerous studies by researchers at UNESP, Rio Claro - SP and research in situ. Stand out in soils susceptible to sheet erosion area, the presence of a large proportion of gully area subject to flooding and significant breeding capitation water for public supply

This paper is aimed to analyze the distribution of green areas in public spaces of the Limeira city. This study seeks to diagnose the current situation of the distribution of green areas in the city of Limeira and how these areas contribute to the quality of life of city residents. The concept of public green areas can be defined in different ways , and for this study were considered spaces where there is a prevalence of vegetation, parks , public gardens , squares and medians of avenues performing aesthetic and ecological , whose soil is not completely covered . The presence of urban green areas has several functions, such as a space for recreation , environmental education and interpretation , and thus contribute to a greater closeness between man and nature . Aplicação do AHP em um caso de escolha dos modais de transporte para a movimentação das partes de um aerogerador

Wind power is a type of energy that is still not too explored in Brazil and, because of the lack of experience in projects of this size, there are still some problems during the stages of planning and execution of wind farms projects. One of these problems is related with the parts’ transportation logistics, since these parts are difficult to transport, because of their length, weight or shape. Furthermore, another aggravating factor is the lack of options regarding to the transportation modals that are available to do the route between the manufacture place and the project site. To help in the decision-making process about the ideal transportation configuration, aiming to reduce the dependence of the logistics’ coordinator, it was chosen to use he AHP method to compare some criteria that have influence in the modal’s choice process. The criteria, determined by the members of the company’s logistics’ department, are: transportation costs, transportation time and the risk of causing damages to the cargo. The results shown by this model, using theoretical background, that standardize the processes related to the modal’s choice

Qualidade ambiental dos fragmentos florestais na Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio Jundiaí-Mirim entre 1972 e 2013

The location of Jundiai-Mirim river basin, close to large urban centers and industrial parks, has contributed to the appreciation of their lands. Consequently, the region has an intense process of urbanization that resulted in an increasing environmental disturbance in the forest areas. Given the need to preserve existing natural vegetation, because the watershed is the source of water used to supply Jundiai, SP, this study evaluated changes in the environmental quality of the watershed forest fragments between 1972 and 2013. The environment quality was determined by evaluating nine indicators of environmental disturbance, obtained by techniques of Geoprocessing and integrated by Multicriteria Analysis. The results showed a constant tendency of deteriorating the environmental quality of natural vegetation between 1972 and 2013, attributed to the intense process of occupation of the watershed. It is concluded that: (a) urbanization and deforestation of natural vegetation were primarily responsible for changes in environmental quality; (b) there is a need to create public policies to preserve the natural vegetation in the watershed.

The feasibility of using wind energy for rural populations lacking electric power in Brazil

In the wake of current global image involving environmental impacts, the use of wind power has had a remarkable growth in recent years as a technique for generating electricity. In fact, it is a source featuring strong dissemination of technology which provides decrease in costs and a greater access to low-income electricity. PROINFA (Incentive Program for Alternative Energy Sources) promotes a greater diffusion of new technologies for power generation, in particular wind-produced. Due to such a scenario on the exploitation of such energy source, current analysis discusses strategies for the development of domestic wind technology and the implications for electricity-lacking rural areas. Analysis shows a similar behavior between rural populations lacking electricity and the amount of potential energy available in the region. It is expected that this assay will contribute towards the establishment of public policies for wind-energy parks on rural farms in the North and Northeast regions of Brazil.
