A notícia cômica: um novo formato de construir a opinião pública

This paper focuses on the discussion of journalistic genres, more specifically on the comic journalism, in other words, when using humor as a tool to transmit information. Supported by the definitions proposed by José Marques de Melo (2003), based on the theories of journalism presented by Nelson Traquina (2005) and Felipe Pena (2005) and relying on the teachings of Jorge Halperín (2008) and Rafael Yanes (2004) about interview techniques, this research aimed to analyze the humor as a legitimate resource and collaborator in journalism performance. For this, we analyzed, in detail, six different frames of interviews of program The Noite with Danilo Gentili, which is broadcasted from Monday to Friday by the Brazilian Television System, SBT. In this analysis, we considered the contente of interviews, the technique and the resources used by the presenter and his team, the journalistic relevance of topics and guests and the reach of the general public to information

Gêneros e formatos: a web como espaço legitimado da Folkcomunicação

O estudo sobre a folkcomunicação foi um dos principais legados de Luiz Beltrão em sua batalha para conscientizar os estudantes de jornalismo quanto à comunicação coletiva e a seus múltiplos desdobramentos. A atualidade da pesquisa desse pioneiro tem despertado o interesse de diversos grupos, não só no Brasil, mas também na América Latina e em países europeus. Se, por um lado, a rapidez da sociedade da informação possibilita a criação cotidiana de "um mundo novo" de informações, com a oferta cada vez mais veloz de conhecimento exige, por outro, que toda essa gama de dados que circulam pelas "infovias" comunicacionais faça parte do cotidiano das pessoas quase que em tempo real. Esse ultimato se insere no mundo do trabalho, do lazer, da economia, da política, da cultura em uma aparente cobrança da inserção do indivíduo nesse contexto. Esse tem sido um dos motes principais de articulação da Rede (GOBBI, 2006). A pesquisa que estamos realizando busca conhecer, mapear, sistematizar os dados que estão sendo disponibilizados na rede mundial sobre a Folkcomunicação, tratando mais especificamente da Folkcomunicação Icônica, Formato Funerário e Folkcomunicação cinética, Formato: Rito de passagem, conforme definiu o professor José Marques de Melo, em seu trabalho sobre Gêneros e formatos folkcomunicacionais: aproximação taxionômica. Utilizando pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, a análise objetiva verificar quais tipos estão presentes e se há outros formatos e quais são eles.

The study of Folk Communication is a major legacy of Luiz Beltrão in his endeavor to educate journalism students about collective communication and its many ramifications. The topicality of this pioneering research has piqued the interest of many groups, not only in Brazil but also in Latin America and in European countries. This research seeks to know, map, and organize the data on Folk Communication available on the web, dealing more specifically with Iconic Folk Communication, Funeral Format, and Kinetics Folk Communication, Format: Rite of Passage, as defined by Professor José Marques de Melo in his investigation on Genres and Formats of Folk Communication: a taxonomic approach. Employing bibliographic and documentary research, the objective of this analysis is to verify which types are present, and whether there are other formats and identify them.

Estudos sobre a utilização de pentóxido de nióbio nanoestruturado na produção de biodiesel

In heterogeneous catalysis, numerous elements such as titanium and iron have been studied as nanoscale catalysts, but little is known about the use of niobium in nanocatalysis. The nanostructured particles have intrinsic and different physicochemical characteristics with great potential for use in industrial scale. Brazil having the largest known worldwide niobium reserve has the great challenge of creating pioneering technologies with the metal. Biodiesel is an alternative fuel and renewable substitute for regular diesel. Being biodegradable, non-toxic and have CO2 emissions lower than regular diesel, it contributes to the environment and to the independence from oil. The aim of this work was initially synthesize nanoscale particles of niobium pentoxide (Nanospheres, nanorods, nanofibers, nanocubes) from the sol-gel technique. The characterization of different nanoscale structures obtained was performed using different analytical techniques such as x-ray diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The synthesized nanometer niobium oxide will be used as a heterogeneous catalyst in biodiesel synthesis from commercial soybean oil, checking in detail what the effect of morphology is presented (Nanospheres, nanorods, nanofibers, nanocubes) in the yield of biodiesel synthesis, comparing these results with those already described in literature for the amorphous niobium oxide and other oxide catalysts. Cytological result of in situ ductal carcinoma in nipple discharge: a rare diagnosis

Background: More than half of women present nipple discharge during reproductive age. Case: This case is about a 36 years old woman with unilateral spontaneous hyaline nipple discharge associated with breast pain. The study of scintimammography was compatible with multifocal proliferative lesion in situ. It was performed cytological smear of nipple discharge. It was paucicellular smear represented by cluster of ductal cells in three-dimensional design with hyperchromatic nuclei in the presence of myoepithelial cells. Red cells and signs of necrosis were not observed. The diagnosis of in situ ductal carcinoma was confirmed in biopsy and mastectomy specimen through the expression of calponin in myoepithelial cells at immunohistochemistry. It is known that the cytological examination of nipple discharge has low sensitivity and specificity. However, it is an easy and inexpensive procedure. Suspicious or positive results, may be important for guidance workup of patients in order to perform earlier diagnosis of malignancy. Conclusion: this case demonstrates that in situ ductal carcinoma can be characterized by positive nipple discharge, and cytology sample is an important tool for the diagnosis of suspicion of malignancy and further diagnostic investigation.

Teor e acúmulo de nutrientes em grãos de feijão comum em semeadura direta, sob déficit hídrico

O feijão comum possui notória importância socioeconômica, constitui uma das mais importantes fontes proteicas da dieta brasileira e juntamente com o arroz, proporciona uma dieta mais vantajosa e equilibrada em termos de aminoácidos. O objetivo desse trabalho foi avaliar o efeito das combinações de diferentes reposições hídricas nas fases vegetativa - I e reprodutiva - II, durante o ciclo do feijoeiro IAC Alvorada, e comparar o teor nutricional dos grãos. Foi utilizado o delineamento em blocos casualizados, com quatro repetições em fatorial 4 x 4, sendo quatro níveis de déficit hídrico 100, 80, 60 e 40% da evapotranspiração da cultura (ETc) e os mesmos níveis foram repetidos em duas fases de desenvolvimento da cultura do feijão (fases I e II). Cada parcela possuía as dimensões de 4 m x 1,8 m, totalizando 7,2 m2 de 0,45 m. Inicialmente irrigou-se pelo sistema aspersão convencional em um período de 60 minutos diariamente, posteriormente o sistema adotado foi por gotejamento, conforme cada tratamento de restrição hídrica. Avaliaram-se os teores nutricionais de macro (N, P, K, Ca, Mg e S) e micronutrientes (B, Cu, Fe, Mn e Fe). A interação entre as lâminas nas fases I e II influenciou nos teores de micronutrientes Fe e S em grãos de feijão. Houve aumento dos teores de Fe e diminuição dos teores de Cu, Mn e B com a deficiência hídrica em uma das fases. Os macro e micronutrientes mais extraídos foram N, P, K, Fe, B e Mn. O N e o P são os nutrientes exportados em maior quantidade pelos grãos.

On the temperature stability of extracellular hemoglobin of Glossoscolex paulistus, at different oxidation states: SAXS and DLS studies

Glossoscolex paulistus hemoglobin (HbGp) was studied by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS). DLS melting curves were measured for met-HbGp at different concentrations. SAXS temperature studies were performed for oxy-, cyanomet- and met-HbGp forms, at several pH values. At pH 5.0 and 6.0, the scattering curves are identical from 20 to 60 degrees C, and R-g is 108 angstrom, independent of the oxidation form. At pH 7.0, protein denaturation and aggregation occurs above 55 degrees C and 60 degrees C, for oxy and met-HbGp, respectively. Cyanomet-HbGp, at pH 7.0, is stable up to 60 degrees C. At alkaline pH (8.0-9.0) and higher temperature, an irreversible dissociation process is observed, with a decrease of R-g, D-max and I(0). Analysis by p(r), obtained from GNOM, and OLIGOMER, was used to fit the SAXS experimental scattering curves by a combination of theoretical curves obtained for HbLt fragments from the crystal structure. Our results show clearly the increasing contribution of smaller molecular weight fragments, as a function of increasing pH and temperature, as well as, the order of thermal stabilities: cyanomet-> oxy- > met-HbGp. Pain pressure threshold algometry of the abdominal wall in healthy women

The objective of this study was to determine the inter- and intra-examiner reliability of pain pressure threshold algometry at various points of the abdominal wall of healthy women. Twenty-one healthy women in menacme with a mean age of 28 +/- 5.4 years (range: 19-39 years) were included. All volunteers had regular menstrual cycles (27-33 days) and were right-handed and, to the best of our knowledge, none were taking medications at the time of testing. Women with a diagnosis of depression, anxiety or other mood disturbances were excluded. Women with previous abdominal surgery, any pain condition or any evidence of inflammation, hypertension, smoking, alcoholism, or inflammatory disease were also excluded. Pain perception thresholds were assessed with a pressure algometer with digital traction and compression and a measuring capacity for 5 kg. All points were localized by palpation and marked with a felt-tipped pen and each individual was evaluated over a period of 2 days in two consecutive sessions, each session consisting of a set of 14 point measurements repeated twice by two examiners in random sequence. There was no statistically significant difference in the mean pain threshold obtained by the two examiners on 2 diferent days (examiner A: P = 1.00; examiner B: P = 0.75; Wilcoxon matched pairs test). There was excellent/good agreement between examiners for all days and all points. Our results have established baseline values to which future researchers will be able to refer. They show that pressure algometry is a reliable measure for pain perception in the abdominal wall of healthy women.

Informação profissional e orientação para a carreira mediadas por computador: uma revisão da literatura

A Informação Profissional, um dos componentes do processo de Orientação Profissional Vocacional ou para a Carreira, visa fornecer dados da realidade do mundo ocupacional de forma a auxiliar pessoas em processos de tomada de decisão. Este estudo objetiva sistematizar e analisar a produção do conhecimento sobre a temática Informação Profissional com base na revisão da literatura. Os dados foram organizados em três categorias, com base em Robinson e colaboradores: (1) modelos de recursos impressos, (2) programas e sistemas de informação e (3) sites na internet. Os resultados mostram que as novas Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TICs) aliadas às estratégias tradicionais representam inúmeras oportunidades de desenvolvimento da Informação Profissional, com desafios e limites a serem enfrentados em um campo que não para de evoluir. O estudo evidencia o papel da Informação Profissional, com seus limites e possibilidades, no contexto brasileiro bem como nos países desenvolvidos.
