Galeria de espelhos: figuras da representação em François Truffaut

Esta dissertação consiste numa análise de quatro filmes de François Truffaut, nomeadamente La mariée était en noir (1968), La sirène du Mississipi (1969), L’histoire d’Adèle H. (1975) e La chambre verte (1978). O meu estudo centra-se nalgumas figuras pertencentes a sistemas de representação, que ocupam posições de relevo nas narrativas e na imagética destes filmes. Assim, considero o tratamento dado a fotografias, pinturas, desenhos ou esculturas no quadro maior da imagem fílmica, e atento na caracterização de certas personagens enquanto, elas mesmas, propiciadoras de uma reflexão acerca da imagem. Finalmente, procuro repensar o modo como, associando esse trabalho sobre objectos representativos a um pensamento sobre a morte, Truffaut formula uma meditação sobre o cinema enquanto arte intimamente relacionada com a noção de fantasma.

Composition of rocks and minerals from the Mid-Atlantic Ridge 5-7°N

The monograph summarizes geological and metallogenic data on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge obtained during research expeditions of the Geological Institute RAS in 2000-2003. Formation of the earth crust in the region, structure of the rift zone, structure of the newly discovered Bogdanov Fracture Zone, neotectonic deformations, metallogenic peculiarities, prospecting criteria of ocean ore mineralization are under consideration.

Chemical and isotopic compositions of hydrothermal manifestations and minerals from the Broken Spur hydrothermal field

A representative collection of hydrothermal manifestations was sampled practically from all hydrothermal mounds of the Broken Spur hydrothermal vent field with use of the Mir manned submersibles during three cruises of R/V Akademik Mstislav Keldysh. Mineral associations characteristic for different morphological types of sulfide ores from hydrothermal pipes, plates, and diffusers are assessed. Particular attention is paid to distribution of minor elements and their distribution patterns determined by mineralogical zonation. Measured isotopic composition of sulfur in sulfide minerals varies from 0.4 to 5.2 per mil that indicates their similarity with ores from the Snake Pit vent field and is related to dilution of hot ore-bearing solutions by seawater and reduction of water sulfate ions to H2S with heavy isotopic composition.
