Towards storage and access of electronic theses: A proposal of its organisation for the Consortium of Catalan Libraries

Els objectius d'aquest informe són realitzar un estudi de la tècnica en la digitalització, l'emmagatzematge i l'accés a les tesis doctorals electròniques, per tal de fer una proposta d’organització al Consorci de Biblioteques Universitàries de Catalunya (CBUC). Actualment, tot i que existeixen diverses iniciatives a Europa, és als EUA on la digitalització de tesis doctorals s’ha desenvolupat més amb la creació de la Networked Digital Library for Theses and Dissertation (NDLTD), i ha estat qui ha definit els estàndards en aquest camp. En el següent informe es planteja i es recomana al CBUC l’adhesió institucional a l’NDLTD per poder gaudir de la seva experiència.

Amb la presentació del pòster «El Servei d’Alerta d’Ajuts i Premis a la Recerca (SAAPR): un servei bibliotecari de suport a la recerca» volem donar a conèixer un butlletí electrònic que ofereix informació relacionada amb la recerca i contextualitzar-lo en la reconfiguració dels serveis en què està immersa la biblioteca de la Universitat de Vic (UVic ) amb motiu de l’adaptació a l’Espai Europeu d’Educació Superior (EEES) i a l’Espai Europeu d’Investigació (EEI).

The use of ISO 9001 quality standard in higher education institution libraries

[eng] ISO standard 9001 is one of a set of management tools that libraries have adopted in recent years. This article focuses on libraries in higher education institutions that have received ISO certification of their quality management systems (ISO standard 9001:2000). We examine their reasons for seeking certification and the advantages and difficulties they have encountered in applying this ISO standard. Finally, we consider the future prospects of ISO standard 9001 in university libraries.

El processament dels recursos electrònics

Anàlisi d'alguns aspectes del paper de les biblioteques en l'entorn, parcialment electrònic, del moment actual. S'examina el concepte de col·lecció digital, la selecció i el control bibliogràfic dels recursos electrònics, i la normativa per controlar aquests recursos. També es presta atenció a la responsabilitat que tenen les biblioteques de preservar els seus fons únics i com la digitalització pot ser un mètode per conservar el contingut d'aquestes col·leccions especials i per facilitar la investigació en algunes àrees de les humanitats.

Los catálogos e inventarios en la historia del libro y de las bibliotecas

[eng] After first analysing the definitions of catalogue and inventory, the article highlights differences between the two and reviews the use of both terms throughout history. Likewise, it emphasises the importance of delving into the history of the book and of libraries from the perspectives of different disciplines, such as History of written culture. Taking as an example the inventory of the Convent library of the Order of Mercy of Barcelona, an outline of work is suggested based on the study of catalogues and inventories from the point of view of Library sciences
