Contribuições para a determinação do custo-efetividade: caso do cancro do colo do útero

O interesse pela avaliação económica na área da saúde tem vindo a crescer ao longo destes últimos anos, mostrando assim, a sua importância e impacto para os mais diversos investigadores de todo o mundo. É uma área de análise que estuda diferentes especializações no ramo da economia da saúde, com o intuito de oferecer mais e melhor. A investigação em Portugal sobre a economia da saúde ainda se encontra relativamente abaixo do ideal, e assim, espero que, com este trabalho se possa anular algumas das dificuldades existentes e ao mesmo tempo relançar novos temas para investigações futuras. Neste trabalho estuda-se o Cancro do Colo do Útero. A partir dele pretende-se desenvolver contributos gerais para a determinação do custo-efetividade na área da saúde em três perspetivas diferentes: a da sociedade, a do prestador dos cuidados de saúde e a dos pacientes e familiares. Inicialmente detalha-se a doença em estudo, nomeadamente a sua evolução e tratamento para que, em seguida, se possa determinar, com alguma precisão, quais os custos de cada fase em cada perspetiva. Defende-se que esta metodologia pode ser utilizada para outras doenças.
