Judicialização da regulação e perda da qualidade do fornecimento de energia elétrica em áreas periférica

Este estudo analisa os resultados da mudança na estrutura de regulação do serviço público de energia elétrica, implementada, no âmbito da Reforma do Estado, no final dos anos 1990. Foi comparada a qualidade do serviço de distribuição no fornecimento de energia elétrica de duas empresas que atuam no Norte do Brasil, uma pública, outra privada. A última, ao ser penalizada pela agência reguladora, recorreu, sistematicamente, à judicialização dos processos punitivos. Essa estratégia não foi observada na atuação da empresa pública. Tal possibilidade institucional decorre de as agências serem dependentes do Judiciário que opera sob lógica estruturalmente diferente da lógica gerencial. Concluiu-se que a judicialização enseja comportamentos baseados na procrastinação no âmbito do arcabouço regulatório dos serviços públicos, bloqueando a estratégia pública de regulação.

O conhecimento profissional do catalogador de assunto sobre política de indexação em bibliotecas universitárias

Analyzes the professional knowledge of the subject cataloger about the role of indexing policy in the context of university libraries. Therefore, the study consists of a questionnaire and sociocognitive analysis of the professional knowledge of three subject catalogers of different university libraries in the state of São Paulo / Brazil, through the application of Verbal Protocol Group. The results indicate that the subject’s cataloging must be supported by current standards and guidelines that address the specificities of each informational context and guide the daily practice. We conclude that the lack of guidelines aimed at standardizing and/or theoretical and methodological parameter of subject cataloging process is one of the main points to be observed by the specialized literature in Information Science.

The discussions that underpin the process of bibliographic classification in documentaries systems should be designed with scientific basis and theoretical, rather than only be based on professional practice. The theoretical approaches, however, attention should also be involved in professional practice. From this, the present study seeks to demonstrate through the perception of catalogers professional, the importance of reflections on the activity of Thematic Treatment of Information, especially the bibliographic classification in order to engender the strengthening of the area and improvements in product quality and services resulting from libraries. In this context, was carried out a study in the libraries of two Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology (IF’s) located in two different states of southeastern Brazil. Technique was employed introspective data collection Verbal Protocol in Individual mode, having qualitative character.

Habilidades perceptivas visuais e qualidade de escrita de escolares com dislexia

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to characterize and compare the visual perceptual skills and writing quality of students with dyslexia, with good academic performance, and to relate the perceptual visual motor skills and the writing quality of students with dyslexia, with good academic performance. METHODS: 40 students participated in this study; 35 males and 5 females, from 8 to 11 years and 11 months, who attended from the 3rd to 5th grade level of public municipal schools of Marília-SP, divided into two groups: Group I (GI) comprised 20 students with interdisciplinar diagnoses of dyslexia, and Group II (GII) comprised 20 students with good academic performance. The Visual Perceptual Skills Test - TVPS-3 and the Disgraphy Scale were applied. RESULTS: The results obtained from this study showed that the students with dyslexia presented difficulties in visual skills concerning discrimination and memory. Besides discrimination and memory skills, it was observed inferior performance concerning the relation visual spacial skills and steady form, and inferior performance in all the visual skills, when compared to the chronological age. However, the group of students with good academic performance has also presented inferior performance concerning the relation visual spacial skills and steady form. CONCLUSIONS: The study mentions that maybe schools do not invest sufficiently in activities which envolve visual experiences necessary for the enhancement of reading and writing. Although statistically significant difference was not observed between the groups concerning disgraphy, it iwas possible to observe that a higher amount of students presented disgraphy.

Sustentabilidade organizacional: o processo de construção do Relatório de Global Reporting Iniciative (GRI) para a Unimed Bauru sob a ótica das Relações Públicas

The paper describes the ways of reporting business management, employing the model of sustainability report called the Global Reporting Initiative - GRI. This makes use of indicators based on the concept called Triple Bottom Line, which takes into account the economic, social and environmental. The study points out theoretical positions and concepts that have demonstrated an understanding of this issue and especially emphasizes the presence and experience of Public Relations in the environment of organizational communication, especially in the sphere of quality management activities, coupled with the operational processes and sustainable principles. The enterprises are in the midst of a competitive and open market, in which, rapidly, new enterprises are created, international competitors are installed on the local market and products and services are invented or improved to ensure quality, sophistication and low cost. In this scenario, the familial enterprises seek survival through new information and strategies to solve existing conflicts and overcome the challenges of the globalized market. However, resistance to change is a factor common to more traditional familial enterprise culture, therefore, modify solid structures, built over many years, reflects insecurity, fragility and threats facing the different. This project aims to analyze the brazilian familial enterprise, in particular the enterprise Móveis Zacarias, as its historical trajectory, representativeness, economic importance, concept, structure, culture and problems that are peculiar, for example, problems with succession, management, professionalism and communication.
