Propuesta de creación línea de investigación en administración en salud

La propuesta de crear una nueva línea de investigación basada en temas de Administración en Salud nación de la necesidad de ampliar la fundamentación temática impartida en este tema, dado que hoy en día la Universidad del Rosario cuenta con cuatro especializaciones y una maestría enfocadas en la Administración en Salud. El proyecto inicia con una fundamentación teórica basada en temáticas impartidas en grandes escuelas de negocios a nivel mundial que tengan en sus enfoques la Administración en Salud. Esto permitió recolectar gran cantidad de información que serviría de base para posteriormente generar la propuesta de investigación. Seguido de esto se realizó el análisis de los trabajos de grado realizado tanto en la maestría como en las Especializaciones de la Universidad del Rosario enfocadas en este tema, generando así revisión temática de estos estudios y sus respectivos aportes. Esto con el fin de poder realizar una comparación temática entre las escuelas de negocios del mundo y los estudio impartidos por la Universidad del Rosario, lo cual abriría paso a generar una lista temática para la propuesta de la línea de investigación. Una vez realizada la fundamentación teórica y la revisión de los trabajos de grado tanto de Maestría como de Especialización, se definió la propuesta de la línea de investigación la cual se estableció en dos partes fundamentales: Concepción de la línea de investigación y construcción de la línea de investigación, en donde se definió un nombre, un objetivo, una jerarquía, una propuesta temáticas, unos lineamientos generales y se definieron unos entregables a realizar por parte de los integrantes de la línea de investigación. Clínica médica e cirúrgica em animais de companhia

O presente relatório foi realizado no âmbito do Mestrado Integrado de Medicina Veteri-nária, estando divido em duas partes. A primeira parte refere-se à casuística acompanhada ao longo do estágio curricular, realizado no Centro Hospitalar Veterinário do Porto, no período de-corrido entre 1 de setembro de 2015 e 29 de fevereiro de 2016. A segunda parte engloba uma monografia sobre o tema “Cetoacidose Diabética em canídeos”, incluindo ainda o relato de três casos clínicos acompanhados no decorrer do estágio. A cetoacidose diabética (CAD) é uma complicação urgente do diabetes mellitus, ocorrendo principalmente em animais nunca antes tratados com insulina de longa ação. O diagnóstico de CAD passa pela anamnese, sinais clínicos e deteção de hiperglicemia severa, glicosúria e cetonúria. O diagnóstico e tratamento de doenças concomitantes constituem o passo mais desafiante. O prognóstico depende da severidade da acidose, das doenças concomitantes e das limitações financeiras dos proprietários; Abstract: Small Animal Practice This report was carried out for the completion of the Master degree in veterinary medicine and is divided in two parts. The first part includes the accompanied cases throughout the train-eeship, which was held at the Centro Hospitalar Veterinário of Porto, between September 1st 2015 and February 29th 2016. The second part includes a monograph on "Diabetic Ketoacidosis in dogs ", including the report of three clinical cases followed during the internship. Diabetic ke-toacidosis (DKA) is an urgent complication of diabetes mellitus, occurring mainly in animals that were never treated with long-action insulin. The diagnosis of DKA involves the history, clinical signs and detection of severe hyperglycemia, glycosuria and ketonuria. The diagnosis and treat-ment of concomitant diseases are the most challenging steps. The prognosis depends on the severity of acidosis and concomitant diseases, as well as the financial restrictions of the owners.

O impacto da formação para o desenvolvimento pessoal e organizacional na CGD, S.A.

De modo a terminar o mestrado em Gestão, especialização em Recursos Humanos, considerou-se pertinente a realização de um estágio em contexto laboral, como forma a melhorar as competências técnicas e comportamentais. O estágio teve dois objectivos: aplicação dos conhecimentos adquiridos na primeira fase do mestrado e pesquisa de uma oportunidade de inserção no mercado de trabalho. O mesmo foi realizado na Caixa Geral Depósitos (CGD), empresa escolhida devido à posição de destaque que assume em Portugal e por se considerar que é uma organização líder e forte em muitos aspectos, nomeadamente em áreas da gestão de recursos humanos. Apesar das múltiplas abordagens que a gestão de recursos humanos tem e devido à especialização existente na CGD nesta área, o estágio foi essencialmente centrado no âmbito da formação. Considera-se que trabalhar nessa área trará bastantes beneficias pessoais uma vez que me dotará de competências fundamentais para enfrentar a realidade empresarial actual, que é fortemente acentuada na gestão do conhecimento. ABSTRACT: ln order to finish the master degree in Management, specializing in Human Resources, a pertinent stage-based learning was considered as a way to improve technical and behavioral skills. This stage had two targets: application of the obtained knowledge during the first stage of the master degree, and search for an opportunity of entering the labor market. This same stage was done at Caixa Geral Depósitos (CGD), a company that was chosen because of its prominent position assumed in Portugal, and is also considered a leading and strong organization in many areas, particularly human resource management. Despite the multiple approaches that human resources management has, and due to the know-how of CGD in this area, the stage was mainly focused in the training. It is considered that work in this area will bring many personal benefits as it will give me fundamental skills to deal with the actual business reality, which is strongly marked in knowledge management.

Integração e recuperação paisagística em pedreiras

Esta dissertação, elaborada no âmbito da obtenção do grau de mestre em Arquitetura Paisagista, tem como tema a “Integração e Recuperação Paisagística em Pedreiras”, a qual foi desenvolvida com base no trabalho de investigação desenvolvido, enquanto colaborador no Centro Tecnológico da Pedra Natural de Portugal (CEVALOR) localizado em Borba, desde o ano 2000, até à atualidade. A recuperação de pedreiras pode ser caracterizada, como um processo de intervenção local, inserido no âmbito da gestão visual, da conservação e de valorização da paisagem. Para realizar o processo de recuperação, não só é necessário o correto enquadramento legal, como entender o contexto paisagístico, que permite avaliar os impactes visuais potenciais e propor medidas de mitigação adequadas. O conteúdo metodológico desta dissertação apresenta a análise, interpretação e caracterização estrutural da paisagem assim como da avaliação do impacte visual, assim como as opções de recuperação com vista à sua integração das pedreiras na paisagem; Abstract: Integration and landscape reclamation in quarries This dissertation concerning the theme “landscape integration and rehabilitation of quarries” aims to obtain the master degree in landscape architecture, as the result of my research as a collaborator at CEVALOR since the year of 2000. The integration and rehabilitation of quarries can be described has a process of local intervention within the fields of visual management, conservation and amelioration of the landscape. In order to accomplish the rehabilitation process, not only is necessary to consider all legal obligations but understand the landscape context, through the analysis of the visual quality and the assessment of the visual impacts in order to propose the most adequate mitigation measures. This dissertation presents a methodological approach that describes the process of landscape analysis, landscape visual impact assessment and the feasible rehabilitation options regarding the visual integration of quarries in the landscape.

Clínica de animais de companhia

O presente relatório é resultado do estágio curricular, 11º semestre do Mestrado Integrado em Medicina Veterinária. Este decorreu em duas instituições de referência veterinária em Barcelona (Hospital ARS Veterinária e Hospital Veterinari Montjuïc) e permitiu melhorar e integrar os conhecimentos adquiridos ao longo do curso. O relatório é composto por três partes: introdução, que situa temporal e espacialmente, relatório de casuística, que abrange todas as atividades realizadas e assistidas, e monografia. A monografia consiste na descrição de uma afeção neurológica, muito comum em Cavalier king charles spaniel, designada de siringomielia. A monografia inicia-se com uma revisão bibliográfica e termina com o relato de quatro casos clínicos acompanhados no Hospital ARS Veterinário; ABSTRACT: Small animal practice This report is the result of the traineeship in the 11th semester of the Integrated Master degree in Veterinary Medicine. It took place in two veterinary reference institutions in Barcelona (hospital ARS veterinary and hospital Veterinari Montjuïc) and contributed to improve and integrate the knowledge acquired throughout the course. The report consists in three parts: Introduction, which locates temporally and spatially, the sample report covering all activities, and monograph. The monography is the description of a neurological disorder, very common in Cavalier king charles spaniel, designated syringomyelia. The monography begins with a literature review and ends with the description of four clinical cases followed in ARS veterinary hospital.

Relatório no âmbito da unidade curricular prática de ensino supervisionada

O presente relatório, que será apresentado à Universidade de Évora, foi elaborado no âmbito do Curso de Mestrado em Ensino de Português e de Espanhol, para o 3.º ciclo do ensino básico e ensino secundário, e resulta da reflexão da prática letiva realizada na Escola Básica de Alcáçovas, do Agrupamento de Escolas de Viana do Alentejo, no ano letivo de 2014/2015. Numa primeira parte, são revisitados os principais documentos legais orientadores da prática letiva, relativos ao ensino das línguas materna e estrangeira. Num segundo momento, após uma breve caracterização da Escola e do Agrupamento, dá-se a conhecer o trabalho realizado com os alunos do terceiro ciclo do ensino básico, enquanto professora de Português, fazendo-se simultaneamente uma reflexão sobre as escolhas pedagógicas efetuadas. Posteriormente, apresentam-se as atividades dinamizadas, os cargos desempenhados na Escola e no Agrupamento e faz-se um balanço do caminho percorrido até ao presente; Supervised Teaching Practise Report ABSTRACT: This report, which will be presented to the University of Évora, was elaborated within the context of the Master degree in Portuguese and Spanish teaching for the 3rd cycle of elementary and secondary school. It arises as a result of the teaching practice reflection carried out in Escola Básica de Alcáçovas, Agrupamento de Escolas de Viana do Alentejo, during the school year 2014/2015. In the first part, the main legal guiding documents, concerning the teaching of mother tongue and foreign languages and the teaching practice, are revisited. As a second step, after a brief characterization of School and School Grouping and while as Portuguese teacher, it is presented the work performed by the students of the 3rd cycle of elementary school, as well as a reflection about the chosen pedagogical choices. Subsequently, the carried out activities, the positions held at School and School Grouping are presented, as well as an assessment of what has been done so far.

As relações humanas como suporte para um ambiente criativo

Elaborado no âmbito da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada do Mestrado em Ensino de Artes Visuais no 3º ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário, o presente relatório pretende dar a conhecer os aspectos inerentes à prática desenvolvida no ano lectivo de 2011 / 2012 nas Escolas EB 2,3/S Cunha Rivara e Secundária Rainha Santa Isabel. O relatório integra um tema aprofundado: “As relações humanas como suporte para um ambiente criativo” e compreende cinco partes: Preparação científica, Pedagógica e Didáctica; Planificação, Condução de Aulas e Avaliação de Aprendizagens; Análise da Prática de Ensino; Participação na Escola e Desenvolvimento Profissional. Possui ainda dez apêndices finais com informação citada e evidências significativas das actividades desenvolvidas na escola. ABSTRACT: This Report was prepared to achieve de Master Degree on Teaching of the Visual Arts in the 3rd Cycle of Basic and Secondary Education, and it is focused in the teaching practice developed in BS 2,3/S Cunha Rivara and Secondary Rainha Santa Isabel Schools, during the academic year 2011/2012. The report includes a deepened theme “Human relations as a support for a creative environment” and five chapters: Scientific, Educational and Teaching Preparation; Planning, Conducted Lessons and Learning Evaluation; Teaching Analysis; Participation in School Activities and Professional Development. It also includes ten final appendices with quoted information and significant evidence of the schooling activities.

Este relatório, enquadrado na unidade curricular “Prática de Ensino Supervisionada” do Mestrado em Ensino de Português no 3.º ciclo do ensino básico e ensino secundário e de Espanhol nos ensinos básico e secundário, estrutura-se em torno de duas dimensões: uma dimensão teórica, respeitante aos documentos normativos e orientadores que norteiam a atividade docente e, mais especificamente, o processo de ensino-aprendizagem das disciplinas de Espanhol e de Português; uma dimensão prática que diz respeito à análise da prática de ensino desenvolvida na Escola E.B. 2, 3 André de Resende, no ano letivo de 2012/ 2013, no âmbito da planificação, condução de aulas, bem como da avaliação de aprendizagens. O principal objetivo deste relatório é relacionar criticamente essas duas dimensões no contexto da prática docente, na qual se englobam igualmente a participação nas estruturas da escola e o desenvolvimento profissional. ABSTRACT: This report, included in the course “Supervised Teaching Practice” of the Master Degree in Portuguese and Spanish Teaching in the middle and upper schools is organized according to two aspects: a theoretical aspect, concerning the normative and guiding documents that regulate the teaching activity and, more specifically, the teaching-learning process of Spanish and Portuguese courses; a practical aspect regarding the analysis of teaching practice developed in the School EB 2, 3 André Resende, in the school year 2012/2013, within lesson planning and organization and the learning assessment as well. Integrado na unidade curricular Prática de Ensino Supervisionada do Mestrado em Ensino de Português no 3.º ciclo do Ensino Básico e Ensino Secundário e de Espanhol nos Ensinos Básico e Secundário, este Relatório incide sobre os documentos legais e orientadores que envolvem e orientam a atividade docente e sobre a sua prática específica, considerando a planificação, a condução de aulas, bem como a avaliação de aprendizagens no âmbito do processo de ensino-aprendizagem do Espanhol como língua estrangeira. Assim, são duas as dimensões sobre as quais centramos este trabalho, uma teórica e outra prática, que relacionamos criticamente ao longo de todo o Relatório. A par destas dimensões, também o nosso percurso profissional é alvo de reflexão, procurando, a partir da mesma, perceber-se quais os desafios experienciados e as competências adquiridas, tendo sempre o aluno e as suas aprendizagens como destinatário e principal alvo das conclusões alcançadas; Abstract: Report within the course Supervised Teaching Practice Included in the course Supervised Teaching Practice of the Master Degree in Portuguese and Spanish Teaching in the middle and upper schools, this report focuses on the legal and guiding documents which involve and direct the teaching activity and on its specific practice, considering lesson planning, organization as well as learning assessment within the teaching-learning process of Spanish as a foreign language. Therefore, there are two aspects over which we focus this assignment, one theoretical and other practical, which we critically relate along all Report. Aside these two aspects, our professional development is also object of reflection, seeking, from that same reflection, to understand the challenges experienced and the skills acquired, having always the student and his learnings as the receiver and main target of the achieved conclusions.

Entry characteristics and academic performance of students in a master of pharmacy degree program in the United Kingdom

Objective. Evaluate the characteristics of a cohort of Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) students upon entry and examine any associations between entry qualifications, type of school attended, socioeconomic deprivation, age and academic performance in the MPharm programme. Methods. A retrospective cohort analysis of data recorded on Aston University’s central database for each individual exiting the MPharm programme during the five year period 2005-6 – 2009-10 (n=644). Results. Entrants were disproportionately drawn from socioeconomically deprived areas and independent (private) schools. Achievement prior to admission was related to the type of school attended but not to deprivation. Performance on the programme was not related to type of school or deprivation but was strongly correlated with prior achievements. Conclusions. Prior achievement is the most important predictor of performance on the MPharm programme but the superior prior achievement of independent school pupils is not seen at the point of graduation. This may have implications for admissions policies.

Introduction: Concerns about the quality of physician education have changed current medical education practices. Learners must demonstrate competency in core areas, rather than solely participating in educational activities. Academic medical institutions are challenged with identifying leaders to direct curricular and evaluation reforms. An innovative partnership between the University of Houston College of Education and Baylor College of Medicine, the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, and the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston offers a Masters of Education in Teaching degree with an emphasis in Health Sciences. Satisfaction of clinical nurses with the formation of a university tutorial program

Degree in nursing from the Universitat Jaume I (UJI) maintains the continuity of learning with an integrated learning methodology (theory, simulated practice and clinical practice). The objective of this methodology is to achieve consistency between the knowledge, abilities and skills acquired in the classroom, laboratory and clinic to ensure skills related. Reference Nurse is a key figure in this process, you receive accredited training on Educational Methods, assessment of competence, and Evidence-Based Practice that plays the role of evaluating in conjunction with the subjects. It does not perceive economic remuneration. The main objective of this study is to determine the level of satisfaction of clinical nurses on the Nurses Training Program Reference in UJI (Castellon- Spain). A cross sectional study was performed and conducted on 150 nurses. 112 questionnaires were completed, collected and analysed at the end of training. The survey consists of 12 items measured with the Likert scale with 5 levels of response and two open questions regarding the positive and negative aspects of the course and to add in this formation. The training is always performed by the same faculty and it's used four sessions of 2012. We perform a quantitative analysis of the variables under study using measures of central tendency. The completion rate of the survey is 95.53% (n=107). Anonymity rate of 54,14% The overall satisfaction level of training was 3.65 (SD = 0.89) on 5 points. 54.2% (n = 58) of the reference nurses made a contribution in the open questions described in the overall results. The overall satisfaction level can be considered acceptable. It is considered necessary to elaborate a specific survey to detect areas of improvement of nurse training program reference and future recruitment strategies. The main objective of the present work is the selection and integration of different methodologies among those applicable within the framework of the European Higher Education Area to combine teaching methods with high implication from both lecturers and students.
