A carefully curated collection: female figures as sites of inscription in Gautier’s Émaux et Camées

This article examines the ways in which female figures function as additional sites for poetic inscription in Gautier's Émaux et Camées. Although considerable attention has already been paid to the numerous and varied objects catalogued in the collection and, indeed, to the notion of the poems themselves as objects, the present study aims to expand upon such interpretations of the work by focusing on three texts, "Le Poëme de la femme", "Étude de mains : Impéria" and "La fellah". In these poems, female figures who, while they may at first be granted some agency (and be represented going about the business of daily, if highly stylized, life), are finally immobilized within the verse as their bodies, and particularly their pristine skin, ultimately function as an additional paper-like surface for the poet, permitting their assimilation into Gautier's diminutive private collection.

The photographs in this album were selected with the assistance of the Sir Robert Hart Research Project, which is a collaboration between Special Collections & Archives in the Library, the School of Modern History & Anthropology, Queen’s University Belfast, and the Institute of Modern History at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) in Beijing. The research project is creating an annotated photobook from the Sir Robert Hart Photo Collection (originally donated in the 1970s) and the Irons Collection. The photographs here reflect those that will be included in the book.

It also includes and assessment of the collection as a source for studying the revolution and assesses how it helps reassess the role of the ICA in the revolution. It was produced to mark the naming of a Liffey bridge in Dublin after Rosie Hackett

La collection "Contes pour tous" publiée chez Québec/Amérique Jeunesse

L'intérêt des chercheurs pour la littérature de jeunesse remonte à quelques années. Il a fallu constater le peu d'études sur un phénomène intéressant, mais très peu connu au Québec: la novellisation, qui désigne le processus de transformation d'un livre en film ou vice-versa. Avec une passion pour cette littérature et pour l'audio-visuel et le média, il a été intéressant de se lancer à la quête d'une collection de livres qui découlent de films pour enfants très populaires au Québec: les"Contes pour tous". Notre but principal en choisissant ce sujet était de savoir si la collection, qui était dans ce cas-ci classée comme un produit dérivé du cinéma, pouvait être vraiment autonome. Afin de vérifier cette autonomie, le premier chapitre retrace donc l'historique de la collection. Le deuxième chapitre est consacré à la direction de la collection, et retrace le parcours personnel des différents directeurs afin de comprendre leur rôle dans le processus d'autonomisation. Le chapitre trois s'attarde plus précisément sur les livres faisant partie de la collection"Contes pour tous", pour voir comment ils ont aussi pu contribuer au processus d'autonomisation.
