C. difficile surveillance quarterly report: October-December 2010

This quarterly report provides epidemiological data on C. difficile in Northern Ireland, and includes key points, a comprehensive�overview of all C. diff infections, rates, trends, age-specific information�and statistical process control charts. The report also provides information on surveillance methods and data for each hospital and Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland.

Joint Commissioning Plan of the Health and Social Care Board and the Public Health Agency: 2010-2011

Legislation enacted on 1 April 2009 created a new Commissioning system with the establishment of a region-wide Health and Social Care Board, including 5 Local Commissioning Groups (LCGs), and a Public Health Agency. In line with Departmental direction and guidance the objectives of the new commissioning arrangementswere to:- Approach the future delivery of Health and Social Care from a region-wide perspective focused on outcomes.- Ensure local sensitivity through the creation of five Local Commissioning Groups reflective of their areas.

La fragilité des liens nationaux. La reconfiguration de l'élite de pouvoir en Suisse, 1980-2010

Pendant la majeure partie du XXe siècle, la forte cohésion des élites économiques helvétiques s'est appuyée sur leurs interrelations très denses au sein des conseils d'administration, leurs liens étroits avec les champs politique et militaire ainsi que sur leur appartenance à des institutions de socialisation et de légitimation nationales. Au cours des trente dernières années, sous l'effet de la globalisation économique et de la financiarisation, ces élites ont connu de profonds changements. En combinant analyse de réseau et analyse des correspondances multiples des dirigeants des 110 plus grandes entreprises helvétiques en 1980, 2000 et 2010, nous mettons en évidence ces transformations, en montrant notamment le fort déclin des réseaux d'interconnexions entre conseils d'administration, la redéfinition des rapports à l'État ainsi que la modification des curricula de formation et des carrières des élites. Cette reconfiguration de l'élite du pouvoir traditionnelle est révélatrice de la remise en cause du cadre national dans l'organisation et les processus de légitimation des élites économiques suisses.

The series of Horizon Reports is the most tangible outcome of the New Media Consortium's Horizon Project, a qualitative research endeavour launched in 2002 which identifies and describes the emergingtechnologies with the greatest potential to have an impact on teaching, learning, research and creative expression in the global education field. This volume,the 2010 Horizon Report: Iberoamerican Edition, focuses on research in countries of the iberoamerican region (including the whole of Latin America, Spainand Portugal) and in the field of higher education. The 2010 Horizon Report: Iberoamerican Edition is the first to offer this regional contextualization and hasbeen produced by the NMC and the eLearn Center of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC).
