A relação entre a família e a escola tem sido vista como alicerce fundamental para o bom desempenho escolar, e desenvolvimento dos alunos. O presente estudo apresenta dados de uma pesquisa voltada para análise das relações estabelecidas entre as professoras e os pais de crianças com necessidades especiais que estão matriculadas em uma escola pública da rede municipal de Belém do Pará. Para tal, foram entrevistadas quatro responsáveis e quatro professoras dos respectivos alunos, sendo realizados, posteriormente, grupos focais diferentes para pais e professores. Os dados foram analisados qualitativamente, buscando-se investigar a relação em função de três variáveis específicas: o conteúdo, a qualidade e a freqüência dessa relação. Tais variáveis podem ser compreendidas quanto às atividades que os pais fazem junto com a escola, de que maneira realizam tais atividades e com que freqüências o fazem. A análise dos resultados mostrou que a participação familiar na realidade escolar ainda se encontra bastante distante do que poderia ser considerado o ideal, principalmente, quando se trata de inclusão escolar de crianças deficientes, apesar de estar contido no projeto político-pedagógico da escola que é papel da mesma, incentivar a participação da comunidade. Os dados também revelaram que os pais vão pouco à escola, limitandose somente a levar e buscar os alunos e que raramente conversam com as professoras sobre outros assuntos, ficando as trocas verbais predominantemente referentes a algum problema que o aluno tenha apresentado em sala de aula. Apesar dos resultados mostrarem uma realidade amplamente negativa, tanto as professoras quanto os responsáveis acreditam que deve haver participação contínua da família na escola, porém ambos não desenvolvem atividades que propiciem tal aproximação. Em apenas um dos casos, uma professora mostrou desenvolver atividades que trazem a família mais para perto do cotidiano escolar das crianças. Especificamente em relação aos pais de alunos com deficiências, a situação mostra-se bastante parecida aos pais de crianças ditas “normais”, porém além do distanciamento natural, ainda há barreiras atitudinais de preconceito e discriminação para com os alunos deficientes, o que reflete conseqüentemente na relação com estas famílias.

A ciência da natureza humana é o projeto de Hume que concerne à toda sua filosofia –estética, ética, política, teoria do conhecimento, história, economia, filosofia da religião, etc. – coisa de que jamais poderíamos dar conta, dado a natureza do trabalho de mestrado. Por isso, contentamo-nos em falar apenas da fundamentação da ciência da natureza humana, referente à investigação acerca da origem das ideias e operações do entendimento, ou da investigação sobre as causas e os poderes ocultos do entendimento humano, com base no método experimental. A questão a que o nosso trabalho visa a lançar luz é precisamente esta: o que é uma ciência da natureza humana baseada no método experimental? Essa será, pois, a nossa tarefa adiante. Julgamos que, a partir de uma abordagem holística e científica da mente humana, Hume tenta explicar a natureza dos poderes ou faculdades intelectuais, sobretudo suas limitações e sua fragilidade. Sendo, pois, a base da ciência do homem o método experimental, o qual, por sua vez, tem o seu fundamento sólido na experiência e na observação, então é preciso perguntar: como e em que medida o uso de tal método tornou-se imprescindível à filosofia moral – isto é, às questões filosóficas de modo geral – e que tangem à ciência da natureza humana? Compreender isso é compreender a etapa inicial do projeto filosófico humiano, ou seja, o estudo do entendimento humano que, por sua vez, subdivide-se em dois momentos, a saber: (1) A ciência da mente, pela qual Hume mostra as limitações de nossas faculdades e poderes intelectuais e (2) o ceticismo que é, pois, as consequências desse estudo, a constatação da fragilidade e das limitações do entendimento humano. Nesse sentido, sentimo-nos livres para falar de algumas reflexões tanto do Tratado quanto da primeira Investigação, muitas vezes de maneira indistinta, tentando ressaltar que tais obras, quando comparadas, podem revelar o amadurecimento de um mesmo projeto filosófico que é a ciência da natureza humana. E este é exatamente o fio condutor de nossa pesquisa: como uma ciência da natureza humana é projetada por Hume e em que medida é possível falar do amadurecimento de seus propósitos? Com este exame inicial, poderemos responder alguns problemas acerca da visão pela qual Hume foi falsamente apontado como um cético radical. Apresentaremos por que a crítica sobre a sua “teoria das ideias” elaborada pelos filósofos do senso comum não considera importantes pontos de sua ciência da mente, gerando muitos mal-entendidos na posteridade. Em suma, no Capítulo 1 deste trabalho, examinaremos o que seria o projeto filosófico de Hume e, por meio desse exame, tentaremos apresentar, no Capítulo 2, as bases em que essa ciência da mente construída por Hume está sustentada. No capítulo 3, mostraremos que a interpretação cético-destrutiva da posteridade está equivocada, na medida em que desconsidera os meios que Hume encontrou à sua fundamentação da ciência da natureza humana.

Pacifier use is very common among children, but despite being considered a harmless article, there is ample evidence of their misdeeds. Therefore, concern about its use is great for us who work in the promotion of breastfeeding. It is this delicate subject in schools because the child, in most cases, already goes to school with the habit installed. The pacifier use may interfere with speech aspect, because the child can come to the wrong talk, dental, dental occlusions, may cause bacterial contamination and encourage early weaning. The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of pacifier use among children of pre - school and knowledge of educators about the role of pacifier and its consequences. The research methodology was based on a questionnaire to teachers, monitors and direction and determine the prevalence of pacifier use with parents. According to the result, we developed an orientation for school. The results show that of the 57 children at the age of 4 months to 3 years, 50.88% used a pacifier, 92.98% and 96.49% used the bottle were breastfed. The guidance given after the data collection has clarified many questions for educators. We conclude that the methodology was effective because we can collect data addressing quantitative and qualitative questions and managed to get percentages on pacifier use and breastfeeding and student opinions, comments and more relevant phrases that emerged from parents and educators, complementing the result. Furthermore, through the data, it was possible to do an intervention. The results indicate that half of the children between 4 months and 3 years investigated makes use of a pacifier, so despite the advice given, it would be important to follow up these data over the next few years. We also conclude that a partnership is needed between parents and the school, because if the family does not help, you can not work in school guidance

Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease is a non-inflammatory aseptic necrosis of the head of the femur that is found in both young animals and humans before the gap in the femur head closes. In the fields of both human and veterinary medicine the cause of this condition is not known for certain. Various factors have been put forward in the literature as being responsible for the incidence of this condition such as: abnormalities in coagulation, changes in blood flow in the arteries, a septic obstruction in the draining of the epiphysis or the upper parts of the femur, trauma, growth cycle, hyperactivity in a child, genetic influences and dietary factors. Case histories in dogs show that the first stages of the condition progress slowly but that limping or putting weight on the limb worsens at 6 to 8 weeks. Some owners talk about a sharp onset in clinical lameness. Other clinical symptoms may include irritability, loss of appetite and knawing at the hair surrounding the affected hip. In the course of physical examination manipulating the hip joint will cause pain to the animal. The advanced stages of the disease may result in restricted amplitude of movement, muscular atrophy and fracturing. In humans the clinical signs are similar, although progression of the disease is slower so that it can be diagnosed at an earlier stage. In veterinary medicine the diagnosis is, in the main, based on case history, clinical symptoms, physical examination and certain related procedures such as radiography. The various diagnoses include physical trauma and dislocation of the medial patella. In human medicine many people have been correctly diagnosed. Whatsmore, there is a range of related procedures that are virtually not available to veterinary medicine such as magnetic nuclear resonance, that show up necroses with great clarity before radiography and cintilography do, and is considered... This paper demonstrates that in every society there are limits and these are imposed on its members. However, the awareness and the determination of theses limits are necessarily how they are transmitted by the educator to the learners. Its purpose is to show that autonomous, critical and cooperative individuals are result of the form they were educated and instructed in the classroom. Schools and educators should be concerned with the education of individuals able to reflect, discuss and solve the social and moral conflicts through dialogue, exposition of ideas, suggesting alternatives and the preparation and reworking of the principles and norms that govern society. The goal of this study is identify and highlight the importance of educator language in conflict resolution, its consequences and effects on the process of building the moral autonomy of children in preschool, as well as discussing, in theory the two types of language, evaluative and descriptive. In the same way, show the importance of descriptive language on the construction process from moral autonomy of learner. Several existing research about the chosen subject led to face this challenge, deepening the study to show that and educational system focused on cooperative environment, where teacher actions encourage social interaction, giving the student opportunity to talk, argue and present his thoughts, causes a significant development toward the construction of moral autonomy on the learner

Negócio de Artesão: Empreendendo no Artesanato Pessoal is a blog about entrepreneurship for craftspeople. The present work comes to help in the formation of the artisan, bringing material for study on business, experts and organizations who understand the subject show up to talk about several topics in a simple, concise and relaxed way. Moreover, we also want to tell the story of people who already undertake projects, and supplement their income by selling products they make, humanizing the testimonies. The overall goal is to generate interest for the entrepreneurial activity in people who do handcrafts or who want to start doing it. Thus, people who once used to handcraft just as a hobby can now find a way to supplement their income. The specific goals are: to encourage people to think of a business of their own; stimulate the creative industries through the blog; contribute to the formalization of the artisan; stimulate the exchange of knowledge among artisans; to spread the work of artisans. The methodology used for this project was exploratory research, using bibliographical and desk research, in addition to interviewing and direct and indirect documentary techniques. The method used was the deductive approach, as the methods of procedure used were the historical and comparative ones. As a result, we have the blog named Negócio de Artesão, which can be used both to inform the reader about how he can conceive their enterprise and to be able to make money from their work

Nowadays, in any area that acts within the veterinary medicine, we talk a lot of specialists. Specialists in neurology, cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, finally, more specialized in a subject, better is the veterinarian. However, on one hand to deepen the knowledge helped in the discovery of new diagnostics and treatments, secondly, a bit lost sight of the patient as a whole. Traditional Chinese medicine, one of whose branches is acupuncture, is aimed at exactly this approach to be fully alive, where all body is interconnected and the disease is not seen as the imbalance of one system, but, as the imbalance between our being and the environment external. Acupuncture is an alternative in the treatment of many diseases, among them Cauda Equina Syndrome, and consists of stimulating specific points on the body surface, which help the body return to its natural harmony. A Cauda Equina Syndrome is a frame subsequent to a neuromuscular spinal cord at the level of the spinal canal of the lower lumbar spine and sacral, whose treatment is almost always surgical. This study aims to show the relevance of acupuncture treatment in this condition and report the importance of the philosophy of traditional Chinese medicine nowadays, even when their arms are not in the treatment of choice

This article presents a descriptive-qualitative study aimed at investigating the perception of seven teachers, 5 parents and 18 mothers about the sexual expression of children until 6 years old, through a questionnaire with semi-open questions for content analysis. The sexual behavior identified by adults at home or school refers mainly to gender issues and the discovery of the body: the children reproduce conceptions of masculine and feminine, they manipulate their own bodies or that of others, and they talk about dating, kissing in the mouth and sex. The teachers have a higher perception of the children’s sexual behaviors than their parents at home, because they are more explicit in school. Teachers report that the observed behaviors cause anxiety and discomfort, while the parents report that they usually talk with their children about the theme. In general, there are reports of little knowledge about how to deal with children’s sexual manifestations: for teachers, who have little academic training in the area of sexuality, and for the family, who show some personal and moral difficulties. It was concluded that participants understand children as having sexuality because they perceive different expressions of infant sexuality that are typical in the development. It is necessary to invest in teachers’ academic and continuing education in early childhood, and in a joint work with family and school, in search of a positive experience of an emancipatory sexual education for children.

The objective of this study was to estimate growth parameters of carcass components (wing, thighs and drumsticks, back and breast) and organs (heart, liver, gizzard and gut) in males and females of one meat-type quail strain (Coturnix coturnix coturnix) and two laying strains (Coturnix coturnix japonica) designated either yellow or red.A total of 1350 quail from 1 to 42d old were distributed in a completely randomised design, with 5 replicates of each strain. The carcass component weights and body organs were analysed weekly and evaluated using the Gompertz function; growth rates were evaluated through derivative equations.The meat-type strain presented the highest growth rates in carcass components and organs. Across strains, females showed the highest weight of internal organs at maturity compared to males.Females had greater growth potential in breast, wings and back than males for both yellow and red laying quail.

Our work aims to discuss the teaching of science in the context of informal education. Thus, we present and analyze the results of an initiative that we have made seeking to interest high school students to study sciences and technology. The Energy shows are activities which are presented in experimental demonstrations of science concepts to middle school students. After the show the students respond to a questionnaire which formed the basis for this study. The results indicate that the achievement of shows have had an impact on students.
