Simulação computacional da extração líquido-líquido fracionada de enzimas para produção de biodiesel

Liquid-liquid extraction is utilized for purification of biomolecules by Aqueous Biphasic Systems (ABS), since this process does not damage the biotechnological potential of these compounds. In this work, using the free software Scilab®, the fractionated liquid-liquid extraction was studied aiming a lipase (target enzyme) partition in a water + PEG + DEX system. Lisozime was considered as contaminant. As computer simulations has been extensively used when a first estimation of technical feasibility of process is desired, this work demonstred that the system is viable for recovery the 80 % till 90 % the target enzyme, but should be noted that the trial aimed only the fractionation of the enzyme target of a contaminant, not its concentration, which should be done by another process.

Projeto e análise de um sistema de ancoragem para um motor foguete a combustível líquido

This work aims the design and analysis of a thrust frame system for a liquid fuel rocket engine. The project was developed following the design requirements established by the Division of Space Propulsion of the Institute of Aeronautics and Space. The layout of the structure was developed with the aid of a software of 3D modeling and static and dynamic analysis were performed by using a finite element package. The results of the analyzes helped in defining the layout of the structure which met all design requirements. The safety factor and the mass achieved were comfortably low, which may be useful in the future because the liquid fuel rocket engine is still in development

O Ácido Kójico (AK) é uma substancia produzida por cepas de Aspergillus sp. Foi isolado pela primeira vez em 1907, através do estudo feito a partir do crescimento desse fungo em arroz cozido a vapor. É usado na cosmetologia como antioxidante e despigmentante para uso tópico. Atua como um potente antioxidante quelando íons de ferro e os íons de cobre presentes no seu sítio ativo da tirosinase impedindo a formação de melanina. O isononanoato de cetoestearila, utilizado na formulação, tem ampla utilização em cosméticos como cremes protetores de epiderme, cremes de maquiagens, cremes de proteção solar, loções e desodorantes por ser emoliente, não possuir cheiro e toque seco. Os sistemas nanoestruturados, como por exemplo, os sistemas líquidocristalinos aumentam a solubilidade dos princípios ativos incorporados ao sistema e aumentam a solubilidade dos princípios ativos incorporados ao sistema e aumentam a estabilidade e diminuem a toxidade, pois agem como reservatórios e dependendo da interação fármaco-sistema, altera a biodisponibilidade. The development of the domestic mammals’ stomach is a complex process, especially in ruminants. The objective of this research was to perform the analysis of structures of this organ during prenatal period. Samples of Nelore fetuses rumen (Bos Taurus indicus) were divided into five groups: 1 - fetuses with 9 to 15 weeks (8 to 21cm) of gestation, 2 - fetuses with 16 to 22 weeks (23 to 37cm), 3 - fetuses at 23 to 29 weeks (40 to 58cm) 4 - fetuses with 30 to 36 weeks (61 to 77cm) and 5 - fetuses with 37 to 43 weeks (79 to 88cm). Sections were stained with Hematoxylin and eosin and Mallory's trichrome and examined at light microscope. In group 1, in fetuses with 11 cm, could be seen all the layers, mucosa with high epithelium and light cells, lamina propria fused with submucosa, the muscular layer was with two thin sublayers similar in thickness and serosa was thin too. With 13.5 cm, was observed the first irregularities in the mucosa with epithelium projections and lamina propria that will lead rumen papillae. With 16.5 cm there was differentiation of the lamina propria to the submucosa. In group 2, in fetuses with 28 cm were observed complete papillae. From this stage, the remaining groups, there was an increase in thickness of the epithelium, lamina propria, submucosal and muscular layer whit the inner sublayer more thicker than the external and serosa. It was concluded that the main variations occur in fetuses of groups 1 and 2, and after this phase, there is increased in thickness of all layers until the end of the pregnancy period.

Avaliação da redução de matéria orgânica do tratamento do efluente líquido deextração de fécula de mandioca por processo de biodigestão anaeróbia.

The aim of this paper was to evaluate the efficiency of the treatment of cassava wastewater, separately from the root washing water, by means of ascending flux anaerobic digesters, with separation of the phases, without temperature control or addition of chemical products and to evaluate its suitability by means of its physical and chemical characteristics for throwing in receiving body, public sewage system or application in fertilization and irrigation. After reactors had been stabilized, essays were conducted varying feeding flow with 8.0, 12.0 and 16.0 Ld-1 corresponding to a hydraulic retention time of 8.17, 5.44 and 4.08 days, respectively. The best reduction for organic load reduction were obtained with hydraulic retention times (HRT) of 8.17 and 5.44 days with mean efficiencies of 89.8 and 90.9%, respectively.
