Bestsellers pornográficos: hábitos lectores, arquetipo literario y representación del cuerpo en la obra literaria de Hernán Hoyos

Esta tesis investiga la obra pornográfica del escritor colombiano Hernán Hoyos que, a grandes rasgos, se trata de una serie de crónicas, reportajes, novelas, testimonios y anecdotarios que versan sobre el acto sexual. Su obra literaria se inscribe en el espacio urbano de la ciudad de Cali, durante el periodo de 1962 a 1995. Debido a la prolijidad de sus personajes, de los referentes y los modos de vida que allí se recrean su obra resulta, entre otras razones, una lectura clave para la comprensión de la cultura popular de esa temporalidad. El primer capítulo está dedicado a reflexionar sobre la noción del arquetipo en, tal vez, el libro más reconocido del autor El Tumbalocas(1972). En este apartado se posibilita un análisis sobre el tipo de recreación que se hace del arquetipo del seductor sin descanso: ‘Don Juan’. De allí que se dé importancia a los valores, expectativas e imaginarios que circularon en la novela a través de este arquetipo literario. El segundo capítulo, por otro lado, parte de una reflexión sobre la vida cotidiana y un acercamiento a lo que hemos denominado ‘los espacios para el placer’ en la década de 1960. Esto con la finalidad de comprender no solo el contexto en el que se desenvuelven los libros pornográficos de Hoyos sino, también, para entender el clima de permisividad que comportó la sociedad caleña de la época. En este capítulo se hace una incursión al tipo de representación del cuerpo en la obra del escritor, de allí que, más adelante, se realice una lectura desde la noción del ‘carnaval’ propuesta por Mijail Bajtin. Por último, el tercer capítulo brinda un acercamiento a los avatares culturales de la ciudad de Cali, su tecnificación, los mass media y, en general, los nuevos ritmos que empezaron a cargar de significados y nuevas expectativas a la sociedad de la época. Como extensión de la cultura urbana predominante, se realiza una reflexión sobre los hábitos lectores que incitaron los libros pornográficos.

High T/P evolution and metamorphic ages of the migmatitic basement of northern Sierras Pampeanas, Argentina: Characterization of a mid-crustal segment of the Famatinian belt

New petrologic, thermobarometric and U-Pb monazite geochronologic information allowed to resolve the metamorphic evolution of a high temperature mid-crustal segment of an ancient subduction-related orogen. The EI Portezuelo Metamorphic-Igneous Complex, in the northern Sierras Pampeanas, is mainly composed of migmatites that evolved from amphibolite to granulite metamorphic facies, reaching thermal peak conditions of 670-820 degrees C and 4.5-5.3 kbar. The petrographic study combined with conventional and pseudosection thermobarometry led to deducing a short prograde metamorphic evolution within migmatite blocks. The garnet-absent migmatites represent amphibolite-facies rocks, whereas the cordierite-garnet-K-feldspar-sillimanite migmatites represent higher metamorphic grade rocks. U-Pb geochronology on monazite grains within leucosome record the time of migmatization between approximate to 477 and 470 Ma. Thus, the El Portezuelo Metamorphic-Igneous Complex is an example of exhumed Early Ordovician anatectic middle crust of the Famatinian mobile belt. Homogeneous exposure of similar paleo-depths throughout the Famatinian back-arc and isobaric cooling paths suggest slow exhumation and consequent longstanding crustal residence at high temperatures. High thermal gradients uniformly distributed in the Famatinian back-arc can be explained by shallow convection of a low-viscosity asthenosphere promoted by subducting-slab dehydration. Den moderna frälsaren : En komparativ analys av Harry Potter och Jesus

The books about Harry Potter have been read by people all over the world, but is there some-thing more to them than just the magical adventure novels they first appear to be? Many have discovered the multiple layers of understanding that the author J. K. Rowling has put in her famous books, and since I was curious about a few features in the story that reminded me of certain elements which can be found in the Bible, I decided to find out more. The following essay investigates which specific features in the books about Harry Potter that can be traced to which specific parts of the Bible. The main focus is the comparison between the character Harry Potter and Jesus Christ. I use a comparative analyzing method and secure my theory with quotes from both Harry Potter and the Bible. In the end, I found a wide range of similarities between the two characters, and in my discus-sion, I raised the question whether or not the likenesses were intentional by Rowling. I reached the conclusion that the authors intention is not as important as the reader’s interpreta-tion and what they can learn from it.

Into the protecting arms: the League of Nations and the extension of international assistance to unprotected persons in the Middle East and Europe, 1926 - 1928

The refugee dilemma in Europe in the years between the two world wars had a number of aspects: humanitarian, political, and diplomatic. It raised questions of migration, questions of international law, and questions of the fate of hundreds of thousands of individuals. Refugees were visible from the very last days of the war and remained a matter of serious international concern even beyond the outbreak of war again in September 1939. The refugee dilemma in Europe was, firstly, a humanitarian crisis because the size of the refugee population was without precedent. It was also a political problem because national governments had to contend with questions about the refugees' legal status and their legitimacy under national and international law, as well as balance humanitarian concerns with national political interests. The humanitarian and political aspects together created a crisis for the international community newly united in the League of Nations. One of its first great acts-to take these refugees into its protective care-was not even prescribed for it in its Covenant. But the refugee crisis facing Europe was so great that member states were united in the belief that the League had been established precisely to undertake a task of this kind.

Uma casa e seus segredos: a formação de olhares sobre o Museu Mariano Procópio

Esse trabalho busca refletir as possibilidades e desafios da educação histórica em museus. Com este objetivo, selecionamos o Museu Mariano Procópio (Juiz de Fora-MG) como cenário para nossa proposta. O produto proposto é composto por três partes principais, a saber, o livreto sobre o MMP, as pranchas pedagógicas sobre seu acervo e, por fim, as fichas para adultos, com informações adicionais. Em um primeiro momento, analisamos o processo de constituição do Museu Mariano Procópio e seu acervo, a partir de uma perspectiva histórica. A consecução do produto foi realizada a partir de diálogos teóricos entre as pesquisas do ensino de História, da educação e da museologia. Com base na leitura de dissertações e teses sobre educação em museus, mapeamos brevemente as principais questões colocadas pelos pesquisadores a partir dos anos 80. Em seguida, apresentamos nossos pressupostos de educação histórica, aliado a uma discussão sobre a aprendizagem a partir de fontes primárias. A proposta de um produto pedagógico, destinado ao público infantil, nos levou à sondagem de outros materiais produzidos pelos museus. Por fim, apresentamos o processo de produção do material pedagógico.

Jesus de Nazaré andou no meu carro: ensino superior, política e religião em Presidente Prudente

Em fevereiro de 2002 tivemos a oportunidade de gravar uma entrevista de história oral com Agripino de Oliveira Lima Filho, prefeito de Presidente Prudente (SP) e fundador da Universidade do Oeste Paulista (Unoeste). A entrevista fazia parte do projeto “Trajetórias da universidade privada no Brasil”, desenvolvido pelo CPDOC em convênio com a Capes entre 2000 e 2002. O objetivo do projeto era conhecer as trajetórias de 14 universidades privadas não confessionais e não comunitárias instaladas em diferentes regiões do país, por meio da realização de entrevistas com dirigentes destas instituições. A escolha da metodologia de história oral visou a preencher uma lacuna diante do pequeno avanço das pesquisas qualitativas nessa área, especialmente se considerarmos o peso do ensino superior privado no país hoje.
