Kirjoittaja on Oulun yliopiston aatehistorian professori. Kirjoittajalta on aiemmin julkaistu Tieteessä tapahtuu -lehdessä Wienin piiriä sivuavat artikkelit "Eino Kaila ja tie Wienin piiriin" (TT 2/ 2002), "Kaila ja kahden tunnistamistavan ero" (TT 4/2002), "Realisti Wienin piirin väittelyissä" (TT 7/2002) ja "Positivismin kriitikosta positivistiksi"(TT 8/2002).

Dover, Kenneth James: "Homosexualidad griega", Barcelona

Publicado en inglés en el año 1978, el libro de K. J. Dover Homosexualidad griega se considera el primer ensayo serio dedicado a la homosexualidad masculina en la Grecia clásica. Éste y otros trabajos del mismo autor tuvieron influencia importante en los dos volúmenes centrados en la antigüedad de Histoire de la sexualité de Michel Foucault, de quién la edición española incluye como prólogo la reseña que el filósofo escribió a raíz de la edición francesa de la obra de K. J. Dover en 1982. La presente edición incluye, además, un actualizado apartado bibliográfico sobre la sexualidad en el mundo grecorromano y la homosexualidad en Grecia.

Aproximació geogràfica als projectes hidràulics del Ter selvatà (1850-1930). Reflexions a propòsit d’un llibre recent

This contribution tries to do a geographical approach about the hydraulic works in the River Ter, in the area of the Selva county. The reflections included here are based in the considerations of the research contained in the book of the historian Gerard Buxeda recently published. The interest will be focused in the scale of the projects proposed, in the differentiation of their characteristics according to the zone where will be proposed, in the relation of these works with the policy and the ideology dominant in the state, etc. In short, the aim is to frame the hydraulic works in a larger context and with the geographical specifies during the period 1850-1930
