A contribuição da história para educação ambiental em comunidades

The relationship between human beings and between them and nature are the result of a historical and social context in which they are inserted. The man is a natural living being who can only survive by the exchange with nature’s metabolism, but over time and human’s decisions this relation was interrupted, which strengthened by capitalism logic resulted as a civilization crisis. With these concerns, it’s necessary to overcome the context in which the crisis was generated, transforming the relationship between men and nature. This study, based on Critical Environmental Education and qualitative research methodology, occurred on a seashore community on Guarujá, investigated the the involvement of its population on social activities already developed on Prainha Branca: how they exercise their community citizenship, which factors limit these processes, and how responsible the residents feel about their own reality, in order to elucidate the aspects that involve that dynamics and population’s potential to build their own history.

Subsídios para implantação de trincheiras de infiltração na área urbana de Rio Claro - São Paulo

The purpose of this work is to study the theme “infiltration trenches” in some of its main aspects, in order to subsidize the installation of these structures in the urban area of Rio Claro/SP. For sizing, the “rain-envelope method” was used based on local characterization data and the IDF (intensity-duration-frequency) curve. Five locations were chosen in the urban area of Rio Claro for implementation of these devices, considering the soil type, hydraulic conductivity of each area and minimum lot size according to the Master Plan of Rio Claro. This work also presented an estimated reduction of the runoff in urban lots by using infiltration trenches.

The paper analyzes the implementation of the new regulatory framework of urban policy in Brazil, synthesized by the Constitution of 1988 and its subsequent regulations by the Statute of the City (Federal Law No. 10.257/2001). The empirical analysis focuses on three medium-sized cities in the state of São Paulo (Piracicaba, Bauru and Rio Claro), and addresses three complementary dimensions. First: interprets the participatory processes that resulted in the new Master Plan. Second, analyzes the crisis of the developmental model for understanding the transformations experienced by the Brazilian urban network, through which the medium-sized cities took on increasing economic relevance. Third: examines the inclusion and regulation of Special Zones of Social Interest (ZEIS) and how this instrument has been used in dealing with urban problems and the housing deficit. Apart from normative considerations, the study aims to assess the actual contribution of the City Statute in the democratization of urban management.

PEDAL: projeto de educação ambiental e lazer: um relato de experiências em cicloturismo

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo central presentar un relato de experiencia sobre cicloturismo realizado por los integrantes del Proyecto de Educación Ambiental y Recreación (PEDAL) comprendido en el periodo 2008-2015, destacando las potencialidades educativas que el uso de la bicicleta puede posibilitar. Para esto, hemos hecho la recuperación del proceso vivido y la interpretación y síntesis de las informaciones sobre los viajes. Consideramos que, a partir de las intervenciones de PEDAL en el ámbito escolar y no-escolar, han sido propuestos algunos debates con el objetivo de desarrollar procesos educativos relacionados a la concientización de niños y niñas, jóvenes y adultos en los cuales la bicicleta se presenta como una rica posibilidad para el respetuoso convivir de unos con los otros, con el ambiente, y consigo mismo, fomentando beneficios el ejercicio vinculado a la promoción de salud, y además estimulando la crítica acerca de movilidad urbana, la recreación y la educación ambiental.

O transporte público no município de Araraquara: origem, crise e as tramas da proposta de privatização da Companhia de Trólebus de Araraquara - C.T.A

For decades the Companhia Tróleibus de Araraquara was a national reference in public transportion, but in recent years it is in a process of bankruptcy and scrapping, characteristics of privatizing processes that has been occurring worldwide since the rise of neoliberal ideas. This monography is centered on the finance analysis of CTA to investigate what reasons led the public company to come in the current financial scenario, what are the interests that exist to privatize a public company and which consequences the sale of the of public companies have for a country of subordinate capitalism like Brazil. Most Brazilian cities are in an urban collapse due to the lack of public policies for public transportation and bulky incentives for private transportation. Furthermore, this monography aims to contribute for the study of urban mobility and point out if privatization is a way to improve life in the cities

O uso de geotecnologias para mapeamento de áreas verdes urbanas e análise da percepção ambiental no município de São Paulo

Legislação ambiental incidente sobre cemitérios do Estado de São Paulo

A expansão urbana acarreta a necessidade de mitigações ambientais, em que um planejamento do uso do solo, bem como seu processo de ocupação traz a necessidade também de estudos para viabilizar tais ações. Nesse processo de expansão, os cemitérios necessitam de maiores atenções, já que evidenciaram indícios de contaminações no solo e fontes de água próximas. Atualmente, o CONAMA (Conselho Nacional de Meio Ambiente) possui duas resoluções que discorrem sobre os aspectos construtivos, visando controlar os resíduos existentes, tais como o Liquame da Coliquação (também conhecido por Necrochorume), um dos responsáveis pela contaminação do solo e aquíferos subterrâneos. Tendo esse escopo em pauta, este trabalho exibe um levantamento da legislação que incide sobre a implantação e regularização de cemitérios no estado de São Paulo.

Análise do índice de cobertura vegetal da área urbana de Piratininga (SP)

The urban area is now home to 50% of world population and the activities related to their disorganized growth, promote the formation of an unhealthy environment. The urban vegetation is necessary and beneficial, because in addition to bringing the man of nature, mitigates climate change and improve the urban microclimate. This study aimed at surveying and analyzing the rate of existing vegetation in urban Piratininga - SP, and from the data obtained, provide allowance for management and planning of green areas and urban areas. Data came from sample survey conducted in 2007 and computerized survey conducted in 2010 indicated that many new neighborhoods have low opt for planting trees of small to medium which does not enhance the urban environment requiring an environmental planning.
