Auditory verbal hallucinations of epileptic origin.

Complex auditory hallucinations are often characterized by hearing voices and are then called auditory verbal hallucinations (AVHs). While AVHs have been extensively investigated in psychiatric patients suffering from schizophrenia, reports from neurological patients are rare and, in most cases, incomplete. Here, we characterize AVHs in 9 patients suffering from pharmacoresistant epilepsy by analyzing the phenomenology of AVHs and patients' neuropsychological and lesion profiles. From a cohort of 352 consecutively examined patients with epilepsy, 9 patients suffering AVHs were identified and studied by means of a semistructured interview, neuropsychological tests, and multimodal imaging, relying on a combination of functional and structural neuroimaging data and surface and intracranial EEG. We found that AVHs in patients with epilepsy were associated with prevalent language deficits and damage to posterior language areas and basal language areas in the left temporal cortex. Auditory verbal hallucinations, most of the times, consisted in hearing a single voice of the same gender and language as the patient and had specific spatial features, being, most of the times, perceived in the external space, contralateral to the lesion. We argue that the consistent location of AVHs in the contralesional external space, the prominence of associated language deficits, and the prevalence of lesions to the posterior temporal language areas characterize AVHs of neurological origin, distinguishing them from those of psychiatric origin.

O artigo discute o papel do Estado, as relações que se estabelecem entre as diferentes esferas de governos federal e a instituição escolar, bem como as diferentes formas de regulação contidas no Plano de Desenvolvimento da Educação. Para isso analisa a gestão educacional proposta no plano e o potencial e as limitações da escolha do município como "território" privilegiado no modo de regulação educacional.

Non-verbal behavioural patterns in trilogue play transitions and family alliances

This case study focuses on non-verbal behaviour in father-mother-infant triads. Analyses were done on transitional moments during which the partners exchanged an active role for a participant-observer role, or vice versa. Transitions are known to be crucial moments for revealing familial transactional mechanisms. Our sample was comprised of six non-clinical families, characterized by different types of functional or problematic alliances (which is the degree of coordination between the partners). Our methodology included micro-analysis of body and gaze formations, facial expressions, and so on. Data were analysed using the research package 'THEME' for the detection of hidden patterns. Different types of non-verbal patterns were found, which may be prototypes corresponding to the different types of alliance. The patterns of the families with high alliances had a more elaborate construction and were more efficient for the concluding of transitions than the patterns of families with low alliances, which were either elementary or laborious. Psicologia, produção subjetivante e modos políticos: pistas conceituais da teoria ator-rede

Este trabalho é uma tentativa de compreensão dos processos de subjetivação (e seus efeitos políticos) envolvidos nos modos de conhecimento dos saberes psi. Para tal, será levantado um conjunto de definições quanto à subjetividade e a seus modos de produção. Em seguida, serão analisadas as contribuições sobre o tema por parte da teoria ator-rede. Mais adiante, serão tomadas dessa teoria algumas diretrizes para possíveis estudos sobre modos de subjetivação engendrados pelos saberes e práticas psi. De modo mais específico, serão trabalhadas as formas com que as pesquisas psi engendram mundos e sujeitos por meio de políticas ontológicas específicas, gerando formas extorsivas ou recalcitrantes de articulação. É nesse aspecto que será feita a discussão dos modos políticos dessas formas de subjetivação.

Terracotas femeninas de aspecto ibérico en Cataluña y Aragón

Se dan a conocer algunas terracotas inéditas o dispersamente publicadas, con el fm de reflexionar sobre el deficiente estado de la coroplastia ibérica en el nordeste peninsular, Para ello, nos centramos en una parte de las mismas, las representaciones femeninas de aspecto ibérico; un grupo de figuritas que poseen una serie de afmidades, a pesar de haberse hallado en lugares distantes y en condiciones diversas, lo que se ha traducido a veces en fechaciones arcaizantes, hecho que, asimismo, debería cuestionarse. Las cronologías que se deducen, a tenor de los pocos hallazgos precisables, entran ya, en algunos casos, en momentos muy romanizados y no son ajenas al debate sobre el componente autóctono en ésta parte de la Hispania romana y su dimensión religiosa.
