On heat cured acrylic resins by microwaves energy the action of electromagnetic waves on methylmethacrylate promote the polymerization process. However, part of this energy is absorbed by the gypsum present in the flask and the function of this gypsum is to maintain the characteristics of specimen, nevertheless is unknown in the literature as the amount of water present in this gypsum affects the characteristics of acrylic resin. The proposal of this study was verified if dried gypsum influenced in some properties of the acrylic resins thermally activated by microwaves: presence of porosity, microhardness, roughness, flexural strength and dimensional change. Two different types of acrylic resin for complete denture were utilized: Lucitone 550 e Vipi-Wave and groups were formed: Lucitone 550, polymerization by microwave energy without gypsum treatment; Lucitone 550, polymerization by microwave energy with pretreatment gypsum; Vipi-Wave by microwave energy without gypsum treatment; Vipi Wave, polymerization by microwave energy with pretreatment gypsum; Lucitone 550 control group polymerization in hot water bath. For both situations were performed analysis of microhardness and porosity three different metallic shaped specimens were formed with followed dimensions: 2,0x2,0x2,0cm (8cm3); 2,0x2,0x1,0 (4cm3) e 2,0x2,0x0,5 (2cm3). Standardized wax specimens was used to prepare groups (n=9) and included in glass fiber flasks. The gypsum dry was made by microwave oven cycle (10min and 600W) and then the flasks were maintained in dry oven during two hours. Polymerizations of specimens were made and then polished. Wax patterns #7 obtained from the metal were embedded in plastic flask and following the processes of pressing and polymerization of the resin according to established groups. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of processing two corn hybrids conserved, dry and humid grains, the dry matter (DM) and crude protein (CP) degradability in situ. The particle size was determined and difference was verified in MGD (Medium Geometric Diameter) of processed ingredients. Three sheep were used with rumen canulated, in a completely randomized design, using a factorial outline 2 x 2 x 3, being two corn hybrid, two conservation methods and three processing forms (whole, coarsely and finely ground), with five times of incubation (3, 6, 12, 24 and 48 hours). The fraction A in SDC (silage of dent corn) of DM was superior to GDC (grain of dent corn) in all of the particles size. The ensiling process increased the DM solubility, reducing the fraction B in comparison to dry grain. The values regarding the fractions DP and DE the 5% per hour of the protein, were larger for SDC and GDC, it presents a decreasing when the incubation time advances. The fermentation rate was superior for SDC and GDC. The ensiling process has positive effect in the decreasing of DM and CP in comparison to GDC.

This study offers an analysis of classification of the main issues of logic and logical thinking found in competitive tendering and math tests, according to their concepts and characteristics, whether involving mathematics, or not. Moreover, a research on the evolutionary historic processes of logic according to three major crises of the foundations of mathematics was conducted. This research helped to define Logic as a science that is quite distinctive from Mathematics. In order to relate the logical and the mathematical thinking, three types of knowledge, according to Piaget, were presented, with the logical-mathematical one being among them. The study also includes an insight on the basic concepts of propositional and predicative logic, which aids in the classification of issues of logical thinking, formal logic or related to algebraic, and geometric or arithmetic knowledge, according to the Venn diagrams. Furthermore, the key problems - that are most frequently found in tests are resolved and classified, as it was previously described. As a result, the classification in question was created and exemplified with eighteen logic problems, duly solved and explained

A matéria orgânica do solo (MOS) é responsável pela fertilidade, ciclagem de nutrientes e estabilidade da estrutura, possuindo estreita relação com a agregação do solo. No entanto, ainda não é clara a relação entre as classes de agregados na dinâmica de acúmulo ou perda de MOS em função do uso e manejo do solo. Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar os teores de carbono (C) em agregados do solo sob quatro usos e manejos: Cerrado nativo (CE), sistema plantio direto (SPD), sistema plantio convencional (SPC) e pastagem (PA). As áreas de estudo estão localizadas no município de Rio Verde (GO), em solo classificado como Latossolo Vermelho distrófico de textura argilosa. Em amostras de solo coletadas em fevereiro de 2007 nas camadas de 0-5, 5-10 e 10-20 cm de profundidade, foram determinados: a quantidade de macroagregados (maiores que 2,0 mm), mesoagregados (maiores que 0,25 e menores que 2,00 mm) e microagregados (maiores que 0,05 e menores que 0,25 mm) estáveis em água, os índices de agregação diâmetro médio ponderado (DMP) e geométrico (DMG) e os teores de C nas classes de agregados estabelecidas. No solo avaliado observou-se predominância de macroagregados, com maior quantidade sob CE e PA, em comparação ao solo sob SPD e SPC, indicando efeito negativo do cultivo do solo na conservação de macroagregados. Contudo, os teores de C nos agregados do solo na camada de 0-20 cm foram maiores no CE e SPD em relação a PA e SPC, sugerindo que o não revolvimento e a manutenção dos resíduos culturais na superfície do solo favorecem o acúmulo de C. Com isso, foi verificado que os macro e mesoagregados podem ser mais sensíveis ao tipo de uso e manejo do solo, quando comparados aos microagregados. A agregação do solo sob PA é semelhante à do CE, embora com menores teores de C, sugerindo dinâmica de agregação diferenciada, o que merece a atenção de novas pesquisas.

Se propone el enfoque de opciones reales como herramienta económico-financiera para la toma de decisiones estratégicas en el sector forestal. En términos de instrumentos financieros, consideraremos en particular una opción exótica conocida como barrier option del tipo knock-in. Suponemos que la proyección del precio de venta promedio de los subproductos sigue un proceso estocástico del tipo Geométrico Browniano, mientras que la producción se determina mediante simulación de un turno forestal. La decisión de talar la masa forestal surge de comparar en cada periodo, el valor de flujo de fondos en cada nodo (FFij(t)) de una rejilla binomial con el valor esperado en el próximo año (X t+1 x e−rΔ t) ). En un ejemplo analizado el criterio tradicional del VAN indica que el mayor valor actual se produce en el instante t = 0 (año 10), mientras que el enfoque de opciones reales arroja que el máximo valor de ejercicio se da en el periodo t = 8 (año 18).

El abordaje desde un enfoque interdisciplinario de ciertas problemáticas de la Geometría y del Arte no forma, por lo general, parte de la currícula de formación de grado ni de los profesores en matemática ni de los profesionales del diseño. En los cursos de posgrado GEOMETRÍA Y ARTE, niveles I y II: Morfogeneradores geométricos en el diseño se propone a los cursantes analizar las formas geométricas que subyacen en ciertos hechos de diseño, construyendo conocimientos teóricos y prácticos sobre las relaciones entre geometría y arte, a partir de una perspectiva que integra ambas disciplinas. Desde el marco didáctico que organiza la propuesta, para aprender los conocimientos matemáticos específicos los alumnos resuelven problemas, apropiándose de los modos de hacer y comunicar de dicha disciplina, otorgando así sentido al conocimiento matemático, que es considerado un producto cultural. La Geometría que se estudia es la implicada a partir de sus aplicaciones en el campo del diseño, como generadora de formas. Por otra parte, en las obras plásticas y de diseño que se indagan, se analizan patrones de orden y belleza y se considera el aspecto geométrico de su proceso creativo. Así, la simbiosis Geometría y Arte, constituye una efectiva herramienta para la labor específica del cursante, quien podrá transferir los conocimientos y metodología de análisis aprendidos, ya sea al ámbito educativo y/o al campo proyectual. Como ejemplo, se presenta el caso de la Vesica Piscis, forma característica de la Geometría sagrada de la Edad Media.
