Como se estivesse tecendo num antigo tear manual, a linha narrativa de El retorno de Eva, da escritora paraguaia Susana Gertopan, vai compondo, com os fios da tradição e da modernidade, memória e história, exílio e retorno, a trajetória de uma jovem mulher em busca de si na condição de cidadã paraguaia e judia. Enquanto a protagonista busca desfazer-se dos diversos nós que a vinculam a uma herança cultural e religiosa que não combina, como ela mesma diz, com o cenário no qual cresce, e nem com a vida moderna de Jerusalém, terra prometida dos seus antepassados para onde emigra, vamos observando a problemática tessitura de sua individualidade entre dois mundos, ambos em crise e transição.

The length-weight relationships (LWRs) are described for 29 fish species in the region of the Tucurui Reservoir, located in the Tocantins/Araguaia Basin, northern Brazil. Fishes in fourteen sites were sampled seasonally for 10 years, from 2001 to 2010. Significant differences between sexes were found for two species, while 27 species had similar LWRs for males and females. The relationship of standard length and total length is presented for all species as well as the minimum and average size of reproductive females and seasonality of occurrence. No information on LWRs of these 29 species was heretofore available in FishBase.

The lack of environment planning studies in Brazil drives to an imbalance due to a disorderly occupation in some areas. As the youngest Brazilian state facing a fast occupation, Tocantins is included on this situation. In order to provide guidelines for an environment planning studies, this paper is under geoenvironmental zoning which is based on the integration of physical aspects. This detailed study supported by maps elaborated on GIS environment, will be able to present the support for planning studies focused on the potential or limitation of the area

The Cu-Au mine of Chapada is located in the municipality of Alto Horizonte, in the northwestern portion of Goiás state and is inserted in the geological context of the Brasilia Belt, specifically the Mara Rosa Magmatic Arc, which hosts important deposits of Au and Cu-Au. The rocks found in the study area belong mainly to the Volcano-Sedimentary Sequence of Mara Rosa and are composed of basic to acidic metavolcanic rocks, psammiticpellitic metasedimentary rocks, chemical rocks and also hydrothermal products. Late intrusions occur and are represented by pegmatitic dikes and tonalitic bodies. The ore deposit of the Chapada mine is formed predominantly by the chalcopyrite-pyritemagnetite association, where pyrite is the most abundant mineral. Through the structural mapping of the mining fronts, it was able to recognize three deformational phases (Dn, Dn +1, Dn +2). During the Dn phase, isoclinal recumbent folds were formed, in association with amphibolites facies metamorphism. Later, in phase Dn +1, there was formation of drag folds and intrafolial folds in association with retrograde metamorphism in the greenschist facies. The deformational phase Dn +2, in its turn, was responsible for late symmetrical folding of the foliation, with NS and EW axes, resulting in an interference pattern of the dome-and-basin type

The study area is located in the geological parameters of the Pilar de Goiás Greenstone Belt (GO), it is part of the Pilar de Goias Group’s meta-volcano-sedimentary sequence. This is a homoclinal package constituted by terrigenous metassediments containing intercalations of meta-ultramafic rocks and iron formations. The units that were informally named in this work, are interpreted as belongs to the Serra do Moinho Formation. Through mineralogical associations the area’s metamorphism were classified as high greenschist facies garnet zone. Prior to this work were detected in the area, through soil samples, some auriferous anomalies. One of the objectives of this work is the detection of possibles hidrotermal alterations related to these anomalies presents in the study area

The Aquidauana Formation is characterized by sandstones of variable granulation, mudstones and diamectites abundant in clay, typical colors like brick red (vermelho tijolo) of glacial, fluvial and lacustrine origin. It’s chronostratigraphic equivalent to the Itarará group from the Neo Carboniferous age, that under the exploratory view, such units represent important intervals in the basin, occurring together with them minerals as well as energy resources as petroleum, underground water and coal – what requires a great paleogeography and stratigraphy knowledge for its exploration. By gathering information from the columnar sections of the area, it was possible to characterize the sedimentary facies, the stacking pattern as well as the association. It was also made an attempt of stratigraphic correlation, which showed great difficulties since glacial environments present a great lateral discontinuity of the facies besides the complex relationship process of formation. As a result, it was obtained 8 sedimentary facies, the lateral and vertical relations and genesis process. It is proposed that the sedimentary environment in the study area is the fluvio glacial, characterized by alluvial systems formed by defrosted water which transport the sediments that are deposited in plains in front of the glacier (distal outwash). Petrographic thin section analysis showed that the transportation process was ineffective. The grains present punctual to lobular contacts, characterizing good porosity and permeability to the rock, varying these qualities according to more or less existence of matrix. The presence of Iron Oxide deposited between the recrystallization border and feldspathic mineral indicates that this rock has possibly presented a primary rubefaction, intensified by alkaline fluid percolation

Main occurrence of Cu-Au in Goias Magmatic Arc, the Chapada mine fits into the geological context of the Brasilia Fold Belt, specifically in the Mara Rosa Magmatic Arc. Four targets, named Hidrotermalito Norte and Sul, NW Chapada Mine Portion and Suruca, are situated in this context, which includes ortogneisses and rocks from the Mara Rosa volcanic-sedimentary sequence. All these targets have been studied due to the possibility of presenting a great potential in Cu-Au, as well as the Chapada mine. Hidrotermalitos Norte and Sul targets presents four lithological sequences, which were identified as: quartz-muscovite schist; muscovite quartzites and kyanite quartzites; quartz-biotite-amphibole schist with pyrite and epidote-amphibole-biotite gneisses with muscovite; muscovite-biotite gneisses. They are metamorphosed to amphibolites facies and retrogressive greenschist facies. Sulfetation represented mainly by pyrite. In the NW Chapada Mine Portion, three main lithological groups were identified and classified as biotite gneisses; honblende-quartz-biotite-schist; amphibolites, with the first group metamorphosed in greenschist facies (low grade), and the other two groups metamorphosed in amphibolites facies, with subsequent retrogressive metamorphism in greenschist facies. Sulfetation is represented by chalcopyrite and pyrite. Finally, also three main lithological groups were identified in the Suruca target, classified as garnet-chlorite-epidote-eiotite gneiss; biotite gneiss and chlorite-biotite gneiss with epidote and muscovite; muscovite-quartz schist, all them metamorphised in amphibolites, with retrometamorphism in greenschist facies. The study area comprises Guarinos Greenstone Belt which is located in the centralwest state of Goias and has an approximate size of 280 km2. The present work has as main objective to characterize the metamorphism of the greenstone belt and the relationship between the tectonic events and the metamorphism. For the execution of the work we used data collected in the course Geological Mapping of Crystalline Area of the geology course of UNESP, classes 2009 and 2010, the data collected by Alex Choupina Joaquim Andrade Silva in his master's thesis and the information collected in field in the study area. This compilation of data allows approximately 200 thin sections have been evaluated and allowed the construction of the metamorphic map in scale 1:125.000, also allowed the preparation of the geological map in scale 1:125.000 greestone belt, based on 1:25.000 scale maps performed by students of UNESP and the mapping conducted by Silva (2011). The study area was divided into two tectonic compartments depending on the Shear Zone Engenho Velho that longitudinally crosses study area, with direction approximately NW-SE. The west compartment is bordered by granite-gneiss complex and the east compartment, seems thicker to the south and narrows gradually towards the north and its structure is seen in general as a great monoclinal with NW-SE direction with trim to SW, this way your stack was considered as a package of rocks at the base and metaultramafic metamafic the top, with a second package in tectonic contact, which is composed of detrital and chemical metasedimentary rocks. The east compartment is represented by the intrusion of a large granitic body surrounded by amphibolites and metasediments, is bounded on the east by a granite-gneiss complexes through thrust fault, and is bounded on the west by the other compartment. The granites Rondonianos, located in Rondônia Tin Pronvíncia, the southwestern portion of the Amazonian Craton, have great economic importance due to its large potential metallogenic. These granites stands out Intrusive Suite or Suite Granites Latest Rondônia Rondônia, with approximately 997-998 Ma (Bettencourt et al., 1997, 1999), for their tin mineralization having the largest reserves of this ore from Brazil. These tin mineralization in veins greissen are genetically related to these granites, deposits with different structural styles both within granitic plutons (endogreissen) as the host rocks (exogreissen). The western region of the Massif Caritianas has few published works, and the geology and potential econômicoão that were never fully known, now with the recovery of tin in the world market need new campaigns and prospective discoveries of new deposits

Geological and geomorphological mapping is an important tool for the characterization of physical environment, thus enabling the planning and use of areas more efficiently. This work represents a geological- geomorphologic mapping on the scale of 1:20.000 in the rural area of Quirinópolis – GO town, where outcrop rocks of Paraná Sedimentary Basin, specifically the Bauru Group. Through the methodology of analysis of integrated elements of the physical environment, it was possible to delineate geological- geomorphological five units, which were characterized as lithology, topography, soil conditions, and operating processes, and the development of weathering profiles bring of great importance for planning of land use as occupation thus avoiding further degradation of the physical environment
