La Generation Sandwich en Suisse Romande: mieux comprendre les facteurs associés avec la santé perçue afin de mieux agir en promotion de la santé [Sandwich Generation in Roman Switzerland : a better understanding of factors linked with perceived health for better acting in health promotion].

The so-called < Sandwich Generation > (SG) is characterized by concurrent and competing professional, familial, and informal caregiving workloads. These stressors pose potential health risks. However, the current knowledge about SG characteristics and perceived state of health are insufficient to allow occupational health nurses to develop evidence-based interventions designed for health promotion. We aimed to describe this population and examine the relationships between these coexisting workloads and their perceived health. This study is based on a descriptive, correlational design. Employees of a Swiss public administration completed an electronic questionnaire. Of 844 respondents, 23 % are SG members. Ages of frailed parents or parents-in-law, co-residence with the latters, children still living at home predict that employees could be members of the SG. Perceived physical health status of SG members is rated better than mental health status. The heterogeneity of SG is reflected in three clusters. Finally, physical health score is the only that differs from the other health scores adjusting for clusters and sex. This study provides a foundation for developing preventive interventions targeting the SG.

It has become a part of the history of our Commonwealth. The program, which was presented under the auspices of The State Historical Society of Iowa on the nineteenth, twentieth, twenty-first, and twenty-second of March, 1907, at Iowa City, Iowa, in the Hall of Liberal Arts, was carried out fully in every detail.

Comunicación institucional y prensa local de Manlleu en el franquismo, 1940-1957

[spa] El artículo trata de la retórica del periodismo y la comunicación institucional en la localidad de Manlleu (Barcelona, Spain). El boletín municipal Manlleu (1940-1957) fue una cabecera local en el franquismo de posguerra que publicó los programas de fiesta mayor. El estudio muestra cómo creó la propaganda política una memoria histórica con el martirologio y los agravios de la República. Esta investigación forma parte de los estudios sobre fiesta y discurso Celebratio et oratio. Y contribuye a los repertorios históricos de comunicación local e institucional (ReCoLI). El repertorio combina los ámbitos del discurso, las instituciones locales y la ideología, bajo una perspectiva histórica. Archaeological and archaeomagnetic dating at a site from the ager Tarraconensis (Tarragona, Spain): El Vila-sec Roman pottery

A very accurate archaeological dating of a Roman site in NE Spain (El Vila-sec) was made based on the typology of pottery artifacts. Three different phases were identifi ed with activity ranging from the mid- 1st century BC to the early-3rd century AD. Analyses of bricks from kilns at El Vila-sec produced data on their stored archaeomagnetic vector. These data were compared with the secular variation curve for the Iberian Peninsula and the SCHA.DIF.3K regional archaeomagnetic model. Both, the reference curve and the model, produced probability distributions for the final period of use for two kilns from the second archaeological phase that were not used during the third phase. At a 95% con fidence level, both time distributions cover a wide chronological range including the presumed archaeological age. Both the Iberian secular variation curve and the SCHA.DIF.3K regional model proved to be suitable models for dating the site, although on their own they do not produce a single unambiguous solution. This archaeomagnetic approach could also be applied to neighbouring archaeological sites that have an imprecise archaeological age.
