Marques de Carvalho na imprensa periódica belenenses oitocentistas (1800-1900)

O escritor, político, jornalista e diplomata paraense João Marques de Carvalho nasceu em Belém, capital do estado do Pará, no dia 6 de novembro de 1866, e faleceu em Nice, no sul da França, no dia 11 de abril de 1910, aos 43 anos. Além de parte de sua prosa de ficção publicada em livro, alguns de seus textos, entre contos, romances, lendas e ensaios críticos, encontram-se dispersos em páginas de determinadas folhas periódicas que circularam por Belém nas duas últimas décadas do século XIX (1880-1900), como o Diário de Belém, A Província do Pará, A República e A Arena. Considerando, portanto, esse universo de escritos divulgados em jornais locais, objetiva-se, com este trabalho, avaliar não apenas como Marques de Carvalho compreendeu a doutrina naturalista, a função da crítica e a produção literária no estado do Pará, como também analisar a representação do espaço ficcional lusitano e amazônico em seus contos e romances publicados na imprensa periódica belenense oitocentista.

Radiotherapy is a branch of medical physics related to the treatment of malignant neoplasm, being an important instrument in the fight against cancer, when combined with the effort of a multidisciplinary team, composed of, physicians, physicists, nurses and technicians. Every year more than 3.5 million new cases of cancer are recorded in the world, being the prostate cancer responsible for approximately 25% of this amount (INCA and IARC, 2008). In this type of cancer, radiotherapy is a method indicated for treatement. The technological advance in this area over years has allowed a greater accuracy in the tumor location, more conformation of the radiation beam around the tumor, reducing the dose in healthy tissues and a consequent dose increase on treatment (Bedford et al., 1999). A radiotherapy planning, in which the physicist develops an important role, is composed of several steps, including choosing the best configuration of treatment beams. This choice has a close relationship with success of therapy and is critical to achieve the best distribution of dose inside the tumor and expose the least as possible the healthy tissue to radiation. In this work, two options for setting up camps in the first phase in a treatment of prostate cancer were simulated in computer planning: 4 fields orthogonal or “Box” with gantry angles in 00, 1800, 2700 e 90° and 4 fields angled or “X” (1350, 450, 3150 e 2250). The percentage of the rectal volume exposed to 40, 50, 60, 72 and 76 Gy should be limited to 60, 50, 25, 15 and 5% respectively (Greco et al., 2003). The femoral toxicity have limited dose by 70% of the total dose prescribed in a prostate treatment (Bedford et al., 1999). The planning of 27 patients with prostate adenocarcinoma submitted to 3D conformal radiotherapy were accompanied. As a result, it was assessed that the best TCP (tumor control probability)... This work consists in the creation of a multimedia product online, and is entitled Esse tal de brincar. The content is presented in the form of informative journalistic texts and brings the play as an essential process for child development, with an impact on adult life. Has the general objective to demonstrate the relevance of the importance of play in children's education. The methodology procedures of bibliographic search and documents for the construction of the theoretical basis were used. Besides the choice of themes, interviews, investigation and journalistic writing were used in production. The research that support the whole discussion is given through interviews, videos and other publications on childhood, education and the play itself. The platform chosen for this was the Wix® and were created the visual identity, such as layout, logo, color distribution, highlights, photos and videos. The publication seeks to achieve parents and educators with the intention of raising awareness about the importance of play in early childhood through informative content

"Ernesto de tal" e suas duas versões

Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar o conto "Ernesto de tal", de Machado de Assis, sob a perspectiva histórica e social. Será objeto de estudo também a comparação entre as duas versões do conto; a primeira, publicada no Jornal das Famílias, e a segunda, publicada no livro Histórias da meia-noite. Por meio da apreciação do cotejo entre as duas versões do conto em questão, procuraremos ainda refletir sobre como Machado criava e reescrevia seus textos.
