This study was conducted to investigate how visually impaired people perform distance estimation tasks by movement and navigation during deprivation of effective perceptual and proprioceptive information. For that they performed the task of walking three distances, being the first and second of 100 meters and the third of 140 meters (triangulation) from a point of origin in open field on a inverted L shaped trajectory and then returning to the origin. The first and second tasks were driven by means of a guide with GPS adapted to the study coordinates, and the third one was freeform with three sessions, the first without perceptual and proprioceptive restrictions, the second without auditory perception, and the third in a wheelchair, without proprioception. The objective of this study was to indicate the differences in distance reproduction in relation to accuracy and investigate the spatial representation of participants in a navigation task, in which there is active movement, but no effective perceptual and proprioceptive information. Results showed that the average participants underestimated distances producing average angles close to the value of 45°. And by means of the "t" students test no significant differences between subjects can be pointed out. To achieve these results we used remote monitoring by GPS and software TrackMaker.

This study aimed to investigate how people with hearing disability perform tasks of distances estimation for locomotion and navigation when deprived of effective perceptual and proprioceptive information. For this, participants with hearing disability went three distances being the first and second 100 meters and the third 140 meters (triangulation) from a source point in an inverted L open field trajectory and then returned to the origin, and the first two were driven by a researcher guide with adapted GPS coordinates of the study, and the third being three free-form sessions, the first one without any perceptual and proprioceptive restriction, the second without visual perception, and the third on the wheel-chair, that is, without proprioception. The results showed that people with hearing disability without the knowledge of the path do not possess satisfactory accuracy but when they learn the way even with the restriction of visual perception and proprioception they can return to the starting point in a task of triangulation. The "t" students test with a significance level of 5% (2.131) indicates significant differences between the first task without any perceptual restriction and the third where they performed in the wheelchair. To achieve these results we used remote monitoring via GPS and the TrackMaker software.

The personal experience respective is a description of an psychosocial intervention effectuated in the year of 2007 in an institution not government, in the city of Taubaté, with a group of women infected with the virus HIV. We will present in the short form our work, which happened through a therapeutic group, that had as device, the production of new process of subjectivizing with these women in the conduction of them condition of life after the infection with the virus HIV. To determine our actions use the theoretical assumptions of genealogy, of psychology and the theory of institutional operating group with emphasis on aspects of group discussion. During approximately twelve meetings with the denser group work topics such as social violence (inequality of rights, prejudice and stigma), treatment of the condition of serum positive when marked by ambivalence to treatment and the use of defense mechanisms: denial, projection and omnipotence, the weak and intense physical and mental suffering resulting from this process. We end our exhibition while presenting the discursive constructions and, consequently, the multiforms singular potentialities of the group that appeared with our psychosocial interventions.

The research discusses the pulmonary function of the students of SORRI that are part of the Project for the extension of the Department of Physical Education in Bauru Swimming for People with Disabilities during the aquatic activities, noting the changes in efficiency class of breathing with the practice of aquatic activity, by the analysis of the volume and respiratory capacity. The respiratory control is essential in the process of adaptation to the liquid medium, because a student who fails to immerse the face in the water will not be able to adopt a horizontal position sufficiently stable. The practice of aquatic activities requires a great effort of breathing. Therefore, the practice of aquatic activities influence favorably the breathing, because the movements performed in the water tone the diaphragm, which is the essential muscle of the breathing, allowing an improvement in pulmonary ventilation. For the purposes of this study, the sample was composed of 10 students of the SORRI of the city of Bauru forming part of the project Swimming for People with Disabilities, practicing swimming once a week for 1 hour. For the collection of lung volumes and capacities was used a transducer of air flow and a unit of data collection, model MP36, both of the brand Biopac connected to a computer, where the data were collected and recorded for later analysis. Two tests were carried out in a day with each participant in the project of swimming, and a test at the beginning of the lesson, at rest, and another after a series of 10 breaths carried out within the swimming pool. These tests were performed in the months of March and April. The analysis of the data was through the medium of the figures and also individually, noting the changes in respiratory function of students practicing aquatic activities, without which there would be no comparison between the participants. The measurements of the scores on the pre- and post-exercise show that the...
