El olvido : Análisis temático de la novela De amor y de sombra

La novela realista De amor y de sombra, por la autora Isabel Allende, describe como dos jóvenes luchan contra la “injusticia legalizada” en un lugar ficticio que alude a Chile bajo la dictadura de Augusto Pinochet. Un tema subyacente pero crucial en la obra es el olvido – individual, colectivo e impuesto. Por consiguiente demostraremos en este análisis cómo se presenta el olvido en la novela De amor y de sombra. La hipótesis que dirige nuestro estudio es que el olvido tiene un propósito mayor – destacar la importancia de recordar el pasado. Haciendo un análisis hermenéutico, nos apoyaremos en tres teorías sobre el olvido y el olvido social, resaltando ejemplos de personajes y acontecimientos de la novela. Por ende, en la conclusión se afirma la hipótesis y que la obra de Isabel Allende hace un llamamiento a recordar el pasado.

Gravida kvinnors tankar om amning

Internationellt sett är amningsfrekvensen i dagens Sverige hög, men har minskat något senaste åren. Studier visar att inställningen till amning är positiv, men att kvinnor upplever svårigheter i samband med amning samt en brist på information och stöd. Syftet med fördjupningsarbetet var att belysa gravida kvinnors tankar om amning, amningsinformation och stöd. Studien genomfördes med kvalitativ ansats, där data samlades in genom fokusgruppsintervjuer med 18 gravida kvinnor hösten 2012. Data bearbetades med innehållsanalys. Analysen gav ett övergripande tema; Balans mellan förväntningar och svårigheter. Fem kategorier framkom; Att vara medveten om amningens fördelar, Att vara medveten om svårigheter med amning, Att planera för sin kommande amning, Att påverkas av sin omgivning och Att ha förväntningar på stöd inför kommande amning. Resultatet visade att gravida kvinnor var medvetna om amningens fördelar och svårigheter, omgivningen påverkade deras tankar och kvinnorna ansåg ofta att amningen ”löser sig naturligt”. Tydligast framkom kvinnors känsla av bristande kunskap om amningsproblem och en önskan att få amningsinformation sent i graviditet. Amningsinformation som ges under graviditet bör vara varierad, innehållsrik och förbereda föräldrarna på att amning kan vara påfrestande. Sjuksköterskor verksamma inom den somatiska sjukvårdens upplevelser av att vårda patienter med psykisk sjukdom

Syfte: Var att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelser av att vårda patienter med psykisk sjukdom inom den somatiska sjukvården.Design: Studien genomfördes som en litteraturstudie.Metod: Litteratur som publicerats mellan 2003-2013 söktes i databaser PubMed CINAHL, PsykInfo, PsykArticles och ERIC. Tolv vetenskapliga artiklar utgjorde grunden för resultatet, dessa artiklar blev kvalitetsgranskade innan de användes.Resultat: Sjuksköterskor kände rädsla, oförutsägbarhet, osäkerhet samt frustation och hopplöshet i vården av psykiskt sjuka patienter då de saknade kunskap. Bristen av kunskap upplevdes som det största hindret i vården av denna patientgrupp. De upplevde osäkerhet till en följd av egna värderingar och fördomar till dessa patienter, vilket ledde till att sjuksköterskor undvek denna patientgrupp. Sjuksköterskor beskrev avsaknad av handledning och samarbete med psykiatriska kliniker då denna patientgrupp vårdades på somatiska avdelningar.Slutsats: Med en utökad kunskap inom psykiatri kan sjuksköterskor få möjlighet att minimera fördomar och rädsla i mötet med psykiskt sjuka patienter.

Online and Offline Gaming as Support for English Education in Swedish Upper Elementary Schools with Focus on Reading Comprehension Online and Offline Gaming as Support for English Education in Swedish Upper Elementary Schools with Focus on Reading Comprehension : A literature review about online and offline gaming as a resource for developing English reading comprehension in Swedish schools in year 4-6

The aim of this degree thesis is to see what research says about the use of computer and video games to support upper elementary pupils’ development in English reading comprehension in Swedish schools. Other goals are to see how online and offline gaming can be integrated in the Swedish schools and what attitudes teachers have towards gaming. The method used is a systematic literature review and the purpose is to analyze chosen articles and to find relevant content that answers the research questions. Five articles were chosen from different databases and were systematically analyzed in this thesis. The results show that online gaming as support for education can be rewarding for some upper elementary pupils in English learning. However, in English reading comprehension there is not much research found which means that more research needs to be made within this area. Moreover, involving online gaming in English language learning seems to be a challenge for teachers mostly because of their lack of knowledge about the subject, even though they are positive to gaming. The lack of knowledge about the subject could be altered with more education and courses in the area.

Swedish Primary Teachers' Attitudes towards Integrating Gaming in the EFL Classroom

A current topic in Swedish schools is the use of computer games and gaming. One reason is because computers are becoming more and more integrated into the schools, and the technology plays a large role in the everyday lives of the pupils. Since teachers should integrate pupils’ interests in the formal teaching, it is of interest to know what attitudes teachers have towards gaming. Therefore the aim of this empirical study is to gain an insight into the attitudes Swedish primary teachers have towards online and offline computer games in the EFL classroom. An additional aim is to investigate to what extent teachers use games. Five interviews were conducted with teachers in different Swedish schools in a small to medium-sized municipality. After the interviews were transcribed, the results were analyzed and discussed in relation to relevant research and the sociocultural theory. The results show that teachers are positive towards games and gaming, mostly because gaming often contains interaction with others and learning from peers is a main component in sociocultural theory. However, only one out of the five participants had at some point used games. The conclusion is that teachers are unsure about how to use games in their teaching and that training and courses in this area would be valuable. More research is needed within this area, and it would be of value to investigate what suggested courses would contain and also to investigate exactly how games can be used in teaching.
