El propòsit del pràcticum és fer una descripció de com s'ha treballat des de les diferents escoles inscrites. El projecte De l'Everest a Montserrat, vol ser doncs una aproximació a l'ús d'Internet com a eina educativa en centres de primària i secundaria, concretament com a plataforma per al desenvolupament de projectes de col·laboració.

Gestió d'ofertes i demandes de serveis a través del web

El projecte consisteix en el desenvolupament d’una aplicació web que permet posar en contacte a professionals i particulars amb la finalitat d’establir entre ells una relació de treball. L’aplicació compta amb un repositori tant d’ofertes com de demandes que els usuaris de l’aplicació registraran. El desenvolupament de l’aplicació s’ha realitzat utilitzant programari lliure molt estès en la programació d’aplicacions web. El llenguatge utilitzat és PHP executat sobre un servidor de HTML Apache i amb una base de dades MySQL. L’arquitectura de programació triada és del tipus Model-Vista-Controlador, implementat utilitzant el framework de PHP Symfony.

Update of the FANTOM web resource: from mammalian transcriptional landscape to its dynamic regulation.

The international Functional Annotation Of the Mammalian Genomes 4 (FANTOM4) research collaboration set out to better understand the transcriptional network that regulates macrophage differentiation and to uncover novel components of the transcriptome employing a series of high-throughput experiments. The primary and unique technique is cap analysis of gene expression (CAGE), sequencing mRNA 5'-ends with a second-generation sequencer to quantify promoter activities even in the absence of gene annotation. Additional genome-wide experiments complement the setup including short RNA sequencing, microarray gene expression profiling on large-scale perturbation experiments and ChIP-chip for epigenetic marks and transcription factors. All the experiments are performed in a differentiation time course of the THP-1 human leukemic cell line. Furthermore, we performed a large-scale mammalian two-hybrid (M2H) assay between transcription factors and monitored their expression profile across human and mouse tissues with qRT-PCR to address combinatorial effects of regulation by transcription factors. These interdependent data have been analyzed individually and in combination with each other and are published in related but distinct papers. We provide all data together with systematic annotation in an integrated view as resource for the scientific community (http://fantom.gsc.riken.jp/4/). Additionally, we assembled a rich set of derived analysis results including published predicted and validated regulatory interactions. Here we introduce the resource and its update after the initial release.

Este Proyecto Fin de Carrera tiene como principal objetivo el desarrollo de una aplicación web que permita el registro de profesores y usuarios dentro de ella, con el fin de que los profesores elaboren cuestionarios con preguntas de diversa índole (preguntas con más de una respuesta correcta, con varias respuestas entre las que se deberá elegir una de ellas, respuestas textuales, etc.) y los alumnos responder a ellas.

Personalized touristic routes implementing semantic web on GIS

Nowadays, when a user is planning a touristic route is very difficult to find out which are the best places to visit. The user has to choose considering his/her preferences due to the great quantity of information it is possible to find in the web and taking into account it is necessary to do a selection, within small time because there is a limited time to do a trip. In Itiner@ project, we aim to implement Semantic Web technology combined with Geographic Information Systems in order to offer personalized touristic routes around a region based on user preferences and time situation. Using ontologies it is possible to link, structure, share data and obtain the result more suitable for user's preferences and actual situation with less time and more precisely than without ontologies. To achieve these objectives we propose a web page combining a GIS server and a touristic ontology. As a step further, we also study how to extend this technology on mobile devices due to the raising interest and technological progress of these devices and location-based services, which allows the user to have all the route information on the hand when he/she does a touristic trip. We design a little application in order to apply the combination of GIS and Semantic Web in a mobile device.

ApplicationMap : Administración web y comercio electrónico en entornos de software libre

Este proyecto tiene como objetivo desarrollar las herramientas necesarias para poder crear un mapa conceptual de las aplicaciones de una organización, representar gráficamente este mapa y controlar el estado de cada aplicación. En concreto, se trata de desarrollar un formato XML que permita identificar y describir una aplicación, detallar con qué tecnología está desarrollada, qué componentes utiliza, especificar las interacciones o dependencias con otros sistemas, etc.

Universitat i societat xarxa : Usos d'Internet en el sistema educatiu superior de Catalunya. Informe final de recerca (annexos web)

Annexos web de l'estudi que analitza -seguint una metodologia quantitativa basada en una mostra representativa de 2.093 professors i 23.864 estudiants i reforçada amb elements qualitatius- la transició que es produeix en el sistema universitari públic català cap a un model més adaptat a les noves necessitats de la societat xarxa. Per a això, es posa especial èmfasi en l'anàlisi dels usos que es fa d'Internet (l'eina clau de la societat xarxa) en el món universitari i en les transformacions que es donen o es donaran com a conseqüència d'aquests usos.

Análisis de contenidos de páginas web sobre servicios de control de plagas en salud pública

Introduction: Our goal was to know the web contents and examine the technical information pest control services available to users through their webpages. Method: A total of 70 webpages from biocides services in the province of Málaga (Spain) were analyzed. We used 15 evaluation indicators grouped into 5 parameters relating to data of the service provider; information’s reliability and services; accuracy of content and writing style; technical resources and interaction with the users. As test instruments were used sectoral legislation, official records of products and deliveries, standards and technical guides. Results: Companies showed a remarkable degree of awareness with the implementation and use of new technologies. Aspects negative that they can have an impact on the confidence of users, relating to the reliability of the information and deficiencies associated with the description of the services portfolio and credentials of the companies were identified. The integration and use of collaborative platforms 2.0 was poorly developed and squandered. Discussion: It is possible to improve the trust of users intervening in those aspects that affect the reliability of the information provided on the web.

Engaging students in an e-learning experience : how to manage information resources through wikis and web blogs

The purpose of this paper is to describe the collaboration between librarians and scholars, from a virtual university, in order to facilitate collaborative learning on how to manage information resources. The personal information behaviour of e-learning students when managing information resources for academic, professional and daily life purposes was studied from 24 semi-structured face-to-face interviews. The results of the content analysis of the interview' transcriptions, highlighted that in the workplace and daily life contexts, competent information behaviour is always linked to a proactive attitude, that is to say, that participants seek for information without some extrinsic reward or avoiding punishment. In the academic context, it was observed a low level of information literacy and it seems to be related with a prevalent uninvolved attitude.

El trabajo consiste en un portal web para administradores de fincas realizado con la tecnología ASP.NET MVC 4. Su objetivo principal es gestionar las comunidades de propietarios con los beneficios de la web, así como crear una comunidad virtual donde los propietarios puedan acceder a documentación, comunicar incidencias y proponer ideas.

Aquest projecte es fonamenta, a grans trets, en la creació de dues aplicacions emprant la tecnologia .NET de Microsoft. Per una banda, la creació d'un portal web d'ofertes d'oci utilitzant un model o patró abstracte d'implementació d'aplicacions ASP.NET com és el MVC; i per altra banda, la creació d'una segona aplicació com a eina de gestió, que permeti simplificar les tasques administratives de tot el contingut publicat al portal.
