Modelagem da área foliar de duas cultivares de amendoim em função das dimensões lineares dos folíolos

The purpose of this study was to determine a shape factor to estimate area of leaflets of two peanut cultivars (IAC TATU ST, IAC RUNNER 886). Correlation studies were conducted involving real leaf area (Sf) and leaf length (C), maximum leaf width (L) and the product between C and L. For each cultivar was determined a form factor (f) by means of regression analysis between the product of the length by the width and the actual area of leaves and the correlation between leaf area estimated by the correction factor and direct measurement. All evaluated models (linear, exponential or geometric) provided good estimates of leaf area (above 87%). Linear models had the best fit, passing or not through the origin. From a practical viewpoint, it is suggested to use the linear model involving the C and L product, using a linear coefficient equal to zero, with values of factor f equal to 0.7111 and 0.7266 for IAC RUNNER 886 and IAC TATU ST, respectively. The method of dimensions is feasible for the estimation of leaf area for both peanut cultivars, for showing good r(2) values (0.97), with errors below 3%, even when used with independent data.

This research presents the results of a cephalometric radiography study, in frontal norm, that was used to measure the possible linear correlations between several linear dimensions of the face, in a sample of a 140 caucasian brazilians, with an average age of 20 years, who were distributed in 2 groups as follows: Control group - formed of 35 males and 35 females, with no apparent facial deformities and with dental oclusion, not necessarily, in Angle's Class I; Unilateral cleft lip and palate group - formed of 35 males and 35 females with surgical correction of the up in the first year and of the palate until the third year of life, without orthodontic treatment. ln each teleradiography, the following parameters were measured using a computer: - Lateral orbit width or external orbit width (LOe) - Medial orbit width or internal orbit width (LOI) - Zygomatic width or facial width (LZI) - Mastold width (LMa) - Maxilar width (LMx) - Nasal width (LNa) - Condilar width (LCo) - Antigonial width (LGa) The values obtained were treated statistically using quantitative analysis (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, standard mean error, Person's variation factor and Pearson factor linear correlation). Regime nazista: as teorias ideológicas e educacionais moldando a formação do indivíduo nazi

O período correspondente ao Terceiro Reich alemão (1933-1945), quando a Alemanha esteve sob o domínio do Regime Nazista, foi caracterizado pelo alto grau de violência, de dominação e de exterminação em massa, e, também, pelo envolvimento “voluntário” de crianças e jovens na luta por um ideal que não lhes pertencia, as quais foram, desde a mais tenra idade, doutrinadas para matar e morrer em nome desse ideal. Para atingir esse fim, teorias, supostamente comprovadas, foram concebidas e incorporadas a educação de modo a fazer dela o grande veículo condutor da dominação que se pretendia. Por este motivo, o seu estudo se torna de grande importância para se pensar na educação – do presente e do futuro -, no sentido de sua utilização para atingir fins que não possuem como premissa a formação do sujeito livre e emancipado, capaz de agir de forma reflexiva e autônoma no mundo em que vive. No presente trabalho, pretende-se apresentar o resultado de uma pesquisa desenvolvida a partir da revisão bibliográfica, sobre o contexto histórico, social, econômico e educativo da Alemanha nazista com a finalidade de proceder ao levantamento e a análise de dados e informações em torno dos principais fatores que contribuíram para a ascensão do Partido Nazista, na figura de seu líder, Adolf Hitler. O objetivo maior deste trabalho foi buscar argumentos que possibilitassem a compreensão em torno dos motivos que levaram os jovens e as crianças a seguirem Hitler e o seu ideal até as últimas consequências. Como metodologia utilizou-se a pesquisa bibliográfica, com base qualitativa e em caráter historiográfico e exploratório. O material bibliográfico analisado trouxe diversas possibilidades que, apesar de não conclusivas, permitiram a compreensão em torno da eficácia dos mecanismos educativos... Estudos sobre o subdesenvolvimento capitalista: as teorias de Paul A. Baran, Andre G. Frank e Ruy M. Marini

The underdevelopment is a high relevance subject in researches and studies for the general social sciences. In this monographic paper, the marxist analysis perspective of the phenomenon approached is considerate of great importance to make a deep overlook, historical and structural, about the origins and solutions possibilities for the issues caused by it over several countries. Has been done here a theoretical analysis of three studious marxist authors of the subject: Paul A. Baran, Andre G. Frank and Ruy M. Marini. How they thought underdevelopment? Which were their scientific contributions to this theme? The main goal of this paper is to do a comparative analysis of these authors, synthesize their considerations about the underdevelopment issues and organized a theoretical and conceptual framework for a better understanding of the matters in capitalist development/underdevelopment relationship. To accomplish that, we elected four variables that supports this comparative exercises, they are: the origins, the causes, the consequences and the way-out of the underdevelopment conditions. This monographic work was made through studies of some principals books and articles of the cited authors as well as the reading of others authors that commented their theories and concepts. The considerations about the underdevelopment vitality under a world capitalist logical, rescues the debate on the transformation of this entire society project for another, been this movement the only way possible to reverse the path of the world people’s history and the major part of humankind that still lives into the “necessity kingdom”
